Chapter 125 All vs one[2]
A/N: This chapter has been fixed, and you can now unlock it or read it. I’m sorry it took so long.
“Fine. As for how the training’s going to go, you will all attack me at once.” Harry’s eyes widened in surprise when he heard Susan’s words.
‘She wants to take all of us at once…?’ He thought with one of his brows raised in surprise. .
His first thought about this training was that it would be one where they would face each other and try to gauge their strength, not them fighting Susan instead.
But despite his words, a part of him felt pumped up and he couldn’t help but wonder how he would fare against the rank one student in the academy.
Subconsciously, his lips curved into a slight smile. His current stats alone were more than enough to rival that of the academy’s elite students and he was quite curious to see how he would do against the top one student herself.
While he wasn’t sure if he would be able to win against her, especially since he had no choice but to hold back his true strength and not showcase all his skills, he was sure he should at least be able to put up a good fight.
As for the Jon and Lin, the two students standing by his side, their mind froze when they heard Susan’s words.
The memory of how she easily shut down an early stage two elementalist using mana pressure alone came to their minds, and they felt more even more discouraged to go up against her.
“W-what… we should fight… with you…?” Lin said, subconsciously taking a step back. She felt that Susan would send a spell flying towards her any second from now.
Just like her, Jon also didn’t feel too comfortable with Susan’s idea of them all going up against her.
While they were three and she was only one, it all didn’t matter before her strength and she would still be able to overwhelm them. Numbers weren’t in their advantage, despite them having it.
Susan placed a hand on her forehead when she noticed their expressions. She understood their reluctance and she knew she might have even done the same thing if she were in their shoes.
However, it wasn’t like she was doing this just because she wanted to torment them or break their will.
This was actually something she felt like they needed to do before the competition or their ultimate loss was guaranteed.
She only wanted to boost their teamwork and confidence for the upcoming event.
In the ranking competition, they would definitely come face to face not just normal students, but also elite students since they would all participate in the event.
They couldn’t just cower away like they were doing now, or their ultimate loss would be guaranteed.
By facing her, their teamwork would naturally improve and their first instinct wouldn’t just he to turn around and run like they were doing now.
Besides, this was also a way for her to have a good judge of their strengths and weaknesses. By fighting them, she would basically witness their prowess firsthand and would know what each of them was lacking to better the team.
She noticed that Harry was the only one among them who didn’t seem afraid or discouraged to go against her and this surprised her a little.
In fact, it even seemed like he was looking forward to it with his eyes gleaming strangely while staring at her.
“Of course, I’m going to hold back and restrict myself to tier one spells only, is that okay to you?” She said, trying to ease their worry. “This is only to gauge the strength and weakness of all of you.”
The moment they heard her words, their minds calmed down and they heaved a sigh of relief.
But it didn’t mean they still weren’t nervous.
She then moved backwards while gesturing for the trio to attack her.
Jon and Lin stared at each other, their eyes showing uncertainty before they immediately dashed towards her and started casting their respective spells.
Jon was an earth Elementalist while Lin was a water Elementalist.
“Water ball!” Lin shouted, bringing her hands together as a ball of water formed between them at a rapid speed.
Without wasting any time, she launched the spinning water ball towards sarah with a low grunt.
The water ball travelled through the air at a rapid speed, but just as it was about to land on the top student, she suddenly moved a little to the side, causing the attack to evade her by a hairbreadth.
The water ball kept moving for a few seconds, before dissipating into tiny blue particles.
Following up behind her was Jon who stepped forward with his hands placed above each other and his palms pointing outwards.
“Shattering rock!” He shouted. A small rock with dark brown colour immediately appeared in front of his outstretched palms, before shooting towards Susan.
Just before it reached Susan, the small rock suddenly broke up into rocks of even smaller sizes, each of them heading towards Susan.
His own shattering rock earth spell was a lot different from Harry’s—a lot weaker, the rocks were smaller and the amount of power they carried in them wasn’t as immense.
However, Sarah simply spun around a little, evading the small rocks that were heading towards her.
Her eyes moved to Harry who hadn’t done so much as move since the beginning.
A strange glint flashed through her eyes and she couldn’t hep but wonder what he was doing.
Out of all of them, she was more eager to see what Harry was capable of, since he was a Tri-Elementalist, and was also quite strong physically.
Lin and Jon immediately stepped back after witnessing how their attacks were easily evaded.
“S-she’s so strong…” They muttered at the same time, before suddenly staring at each other, their gazes conveying the same message; there was no way they could win.
They couldn’t help but wonder, what if she wasn’t holding back? Then the fight would have been over in seconds.
She was still staying on the defensive mode but their strongest spells were easily rendered useless.
Meanwhile, Harry remained in his position, seemingly staring at the fight that seemed more like an adult toying with little kids.
However, what he was really looking at was the notification that flashed across his eyes the moment the other two Elementalist started attacking.

[Optional Quest]
A strong Opponent has appeared!
?Defeat Susan Grey
? Rewards for completion: 20 Stat points
—
‘Twenty stat points… that was definitely a valuable reward. I don’t want to lose it.’ He thought.
He had already planned on fighting Susan, and also winning against her, but what he didn’t expect was to get a quest for it also.
However, he had nothing to lose, the quest was optional and even if he failed it, there was no punishment attached to it.
Jon’s eyes darted between Susan and Lin, unsure of whether to attack or not, just then, he remembered Harry who was supposed to be their teammate, was still standing behind them without attacking.
“H-hey! Are yo—” He wasn’t able to complete his words before Harry suddenly vanished from his sight, making his eyes widen in surprise.
Harry dashed towards Susan, using his normal speed and without activating accelerate.
Susan’s eyes widened when she saw the speed at which Harry was running towards her, it was so fast that even she couldn’t follow follow it.
Pulling one of his hands backwards, Harry activated [Lightning Ball] causing a medium sized ball of lightning to appear above his palm.
The lightning ball blitzed and cackled with immense power and even from where they stood, Lin and Jon felt their hearts tremble when they imagined themselves being the recipient of such an attack.
Immediately, the Lightning ball shot towards Susan with astonishing speed, leaving a small trail of lightning.
Susan’s expression suddenly changed into a more serious one when she saw the lightning ball, the amount of power she felt from it was no joke.
And though lightning ball was only a tier one spell, the one casted by Harry had the power of a tier two spell!
Immediately, she moved from her position, turning around and barely and evading the incoming attack.
The ball of lightning went on to crash into the wall in the distance before finally disintegrating.
However, Harry didn’t stop there, he immediately tried to circle around her so he could attack her from behind.
Of course, Susan didn’t plan on just letting that happen. Channeling her mana throughout her body, she finally casted a spell.
“Light’s embrace.” She muttered and immediately, her body was shrouded in a thin coat of bright white light.
The spell helped in increasing her already high charm beauty and Jon and Lin who stood at the side were placed into a trance.
Her blonde hair turned somewhat white and her skin seemed to be glowing with white light.
Harry’s eyes widened a little as he witnessed her transfiguration, even he was surprised by the current appearance.
Just as he was about to launch another attack, Sarah suddenly turned towards him.
“Light Arrow.”
