Chapter 347 - 347: Ch 347: Elements and Elemental Affinity

There were a lot of criteria to judge someone's talent as a magus. But among all of them, the main one had always been Elemental Affinity.

Elemental Affinity was one of the most important thing. If someone had good elemental affinity, their path as a magus was going to be easy and straight forward.

On the other hand, if someone's elemental affinity was mediocre or bad, they would face a lot of obstacles in their path.

But before telling the ladies more about elemental affinities, Karina needed to explain to them what elements were first.

This was a knowledge that almost everyone born in the world of the magi knew about but unfortunately, Weiss, Elise and Sakura had no ways of knowing about this common sense.

There were a total of eight main elements. Those elements were Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Ice, Lightning, Light and Darkness. These were the main elements on which the whole magus system was build upon.

High ranking magi were capable of controlling laws of the world. But even for doing that, they used their affinity most of the time.

But these eight affinities were not the end. There were some other special affinities too which were very rare.

For example, in some people with the bloodline of an elf, nymph, dryad and such, the element of Wood or the element of Nature showed up some time. This element was able to control plant life.

And the same way, there were a rare few people who had the affinity of metal. Even though the dwarfs were the main holders of this affinity of metal, a decent amount humans had also showed up with this affinity, even without any connection to the dwarf race.

Among the special affinities, these two were more well known ones and even their organisation had Metal and Wood element users. Karina had heard about other special elements like poison and dream but she had never seen them.

So with this, Karina's explanation about the elements came to an end. Next, she increased her hip shaking speed slightly and returned back to the topic of elemental affinity.

Someone could have multiple elemental affinities and there was no limit. People with three or more affinities were common and Karina herself had the elemental affinity for 5 elements.

But just having the affinity was nothing. Most people ended up focusing on a single affinity 99 percent of the time. Some more talented ones did two.

So the number of elemental affinities was irrelevant. What mattered was the quality of the affinity. Having even 10 bad or mediocre affinity was not a good thing but having one single good affinity was enough to make someone a genius.

And this quality of an affinity was represented with percentage. The higher the percentage count was, the better someone's talent was.

Karina did not hide anything from Weiss, Sakura and Elise. She told them about her own affinities in details. They were not really a secret as there were quite a few people who were aware of this.

So, as Karina considered the three ladies here as her friends, she had no reason to hide it from them. And she was sure that giving this example would make the whole thing much easier to understand.

Karina had affinity for a total of five elements. But like most people, she mainly practiced only one of them. And that element in question was water.

It was not like water was superior to the other elements that she had. Actually, none of the elements were generally better or worse than one another. A Magus could reach the pinnacle with any of them.

So the reason for Karina choosing the water element was because she had the highest affinity for it. The percentage for the water elemental affinity was 78, which was very close to reaching 80 and turning her into a real genius with a 100 percent chance of becoming a magus.

Even with her 78 percent score, she had about 80 percent chance of becoming a magus. But with how her family was, this 80 percent chance looked very low to Karina.

As for her other affinities, she had a score of 67 percent in earth, 63 percent in wind, 41 percent in ice and 12 percent in darkness. So very obviously water had been the only option for her.

If her earth affinity was at least above 70 percent, she could have tried double practicing. But with just 67 percent, she did not feel it was worth it. As for the other ones, they were not even worth considering with such low numbers.

With this example, now even Elise had a perfect idea about how this worked. But Karina had one more thing to add.

Now she was shaking her hips in full force in order to get a creampie in her ass. So while moaning lightly in between, she told the ladies something interesting.

Even though all the elements were capable of reaching the peak and were considered equal, there were two elements which were a bit special.

These two elements in question were Light and Darkness. Both of them had a higher floor compared to the others.

And even though it was considered that their peak was the same as the other elements, it was not a proven fact. That was because there were no magus who had reached the peak with these two elements.

And during this same talk, Weiss came to know an incredible truth. And that was the fact that this system of the magi was considered to be a very young system. So much so that the first generation users of this system were still alive.

Hearing this, Weiss was surprised and asked how old was the magus system. And the answer she got was less than a million year old. About 880 thousand or so to be exact.

And hearing this, all three of the other ladies widened their eyes in surprise. How could this number be low.

And when Sakura asked this question, Karina laughed and said that from the perspective of them, this was an unbelievably large number. But for top powerhouses and the worlds, this was nothing. Specially when most of the other main systems were more than a billion years old.

And after revealing this astonishing truth, Karina got her long awaited ass creampie.
