Mafia Lord's Mute Sweetheart
Chapter 218 Congratulations!
Chapter 218: Chapter 218 Congratulations!
Daisy didn’t actually have many belongings to take with her. After living in the house for three years, she had somehow accumulated surprisingly little that truly felt like hers.
Most of the things she owned could fit into a few bags and even those were mostly clothes, personal items, a few books and some small things she had grown attached to over time.
There was the yellow scarf she had knitted during long lonely nights. A small wooden box filled with her perfume experiments.
The photograph of her parents, carefully wrapped in soft cloth. A few notebooks filled with her handwriting, her thoughts, her dreams. And the small daisy keychain Mona had given her, which she had carefully tucked into the side pocket of her bag.
Alessio helped her without making a fuss. He didn’t ask unnecessary questions. He didn’t comment on how little she owned. He simply stayed beside her, following her lead, waiting for her to decide what she wanted to keep.
Whenever she pointed toward something she wanted to take, he picked it up and placed it carefully into the bag.
When she struggled with one of the heavier bags, he took it from her without even letting her try again. His hand closed over hers, warm and big and he gently pulled the bag away.
"You don’t need to carry that."
Daisy looked at him. Her eyes were grateful but she didn’t argue. She simply nodded and let him take it.
He simply continued packing.
After everything she needed had been gathered, Alessio looked around the room once more. His eyes moved over the small bed and the old wardrobe, the side table where her unknown perfume bottles had been arranged.
"You’ve left quite a few things behind."
Daisy nodded. She didn’t seem particularly concerned. Her expression was calm, almost peaceful, as if she had already accepted that she couldn’t take everything with her.
Alessio understood. "I’ll send someone over later to collect the rest of your belongings."
Daisy looked at him gratefully and nodded. Her eyes softened with appreciation.
"You don’t have to take everything today," he added. "Take your time. We can bring the rest whenever you’re ready."
Daisy gave him a small smile.
Surprisingly, Cedric never came out of his room. Not once.
The entire time Daisy was packing, the hallway remained silent. Alessio occasionally glanced toward Cedric’s closed door, half expecting him to appear and start another argument but nothing like that happened. The door stayed shut and the hallway stayed quiet.
Eventually, Alessio picked up one of Daisy’s bags. "Let’s go."
Daisy nodded. She took one last look around the room, her eyes stayed on the small window, the bed. Then she turned and followed him.
They walked downstairs together. Their footsteps echoed softly against the floor and the house felt strangely quiet. Even the staff seemed to move more carefully.
As they reached the entrance, Daisy slowed down. She turned around.
For a moment, she simply stood there, looking at Evermont Mansion. The house looked exactly as it always had. The same grand staircase, wide entrance, the same familiar windows. Yet somehow, it already felt different.
Her eyes became slightly sad. She had spent three years here. There had been good days and bad days, moments she wanted to forget and moments she would probably remember for the rest of her life. Even though the marriage was over, leaving the house still felt strange.
Alessio noticed her silence. He didn’t rush her. He simply stood beside her until she was ready.
After a moment, Daisy finally turned away.
Alessio walked ahead and opened the car door for her. "Careful."
Daisy looked at him and gave a small nod before getting inside. He gently closed the door after she settled into the seat.
What neither of them noticed immediately was the figure standing behind an upstairs window.
Cedric stood there with his arms folded across his chest. He had remained inside his room the entire time but he had seen them leave. His gaze stayed fixed on Daisy. Then on Alessio. Alessio opened the another side door and got inside.
Cedric’s expression remained unreadable. He didn’t know what he was feeling anymore. Anger, Jealousy and Regret.?? Maybe all three.
He watched the car slowly pull away from the mansion. His arms remained folded across his chest. And even after the car disappeared from his sight, Cedric continued standing by the window, staring at the empty driveway as though he had only just realized that Daisy had truly left.

The moment Daisy’s eyes fell on Alessio’s mansion, she stopped in surprise.
She had expected his house to be nice but she certainly hadn’t expected this.
The dark, luxurious mansion stood behind tall gates, its elegant exterior looking almost unreal under the late afternoon light. The architecture was grand without being overly flashy, and the entire property seemed to have been designed with the kind of money that Daisy could hardly imagine.
It looked like something straight out of a movie.
Daisy slowly looked around, her eyes widening as she took everything in.
What caught her attention even more were the flowers and plants surrounding the mansion.
Everything was beautifully maintained. Flowering plants lined the pathways, carefully trimmed bushes surrounded the garden and several trees provided soft shade around the property. There wasn’t a single neglected corner.
Daisy loved it immediately. Her eyes softened and a genuine smile appeared on her face.
She turned toward Alessio with an expression that made it obvious how impressed she was. Her eyes were wide and her hands lifted slightly as if she wanted to gesture something but couldn’t find the right words.
Alessio noticed. "It’s not that special."
Daisy looked at him as if he had just said something ridiculous. Her eyebrows lifted, and she tilted her head.
Alessio couldn’t help smiling. "Okay, maybe it is a little special."
He opened the front door for her. "Come inside."
Daisy followed him, still looking around in amazement.
The interior was even more impressive. The ceilings were high, the furniture was elegant, and everything had a deep refined appearance.
Yet despite the expensive surroundings, the mansion didn’t feel cold. There were plants placed around the rooms, soft lighting and little personal touches that made it feel lived in.
Daisy’s eyes wandered everywhere. She looked genuinely fascinated, her gaze moving from one detail to another.
Before Alessio could say anything, a familiar voice suddenly came from the living room.
"Daisy!"
Rafael appeared with a huge grin on his face.
"Congratulations!"
Daisy blinked. Her head turned toward him and her expression flickered with confusion.
Rafael walked toward her happily. "Finally! You divorced that di*khead!"
