Back at the palace of the queen of vampires.

Glorias was in her own bedroom wearing a night robe, white in color, simple in design. It enhanced her beauty and appeal.

She was sitting on comfy soft sofa that was in the room drinking a glass blood that looked like wine. Though taking small sips.

It went on like that for about 5 or 10 minutes in total silence only taking small sips when she felt like it.

Then her eyes turned to the figure laying on her bed.

It was Arthur Vane.

Her blood-red eyes were so focused on him all completely disregarding anything other than him.

Thoughts were unreadable while her expression looked plain and emotionless.

Standing up, she put the glass on the small table in front of her before walking toward the bed, her eyes never left his figure for a moment.

As she neared the bed, she could hear it, the faint steady beat of his heart. It was consistent and comfortable to hear.

Since the first time she met him, she heard that sound of his heartbeat. It was so comfortable to hear unlike the noisy heartbeats of those supernatural beings that made her recoil and didn’t want to stay a more moment with them.

"Strange." She muttered as she extended her hand to his chest before putting her palm on it feeling the heat of his body and more importantly, the beat of his heart.

Ba-dum!

Ba-dum!

Steady and consistent.

Then, in her eyes, a desire for more appeared, she wanted—desired—to hear more of that beat.

So, driven by that, she adjusted her posture while sitting beside him on the bed before leaning in, to his chest, and laid her head on his it to listen more to his heartbeat.

And as she closed her eyes, she began listening more clearly which made her sigh and relax her body against him.

Ba-dum!

Ba-dum!

The firm beat of his heart was like a calming drug to Glorias who was still listening to it with eyes closed and soft breathing as if she was asleep.

The scene looked romantic making you just want to stand there at a corner of the room and just watch.

And during all of that, Arthur was still unconscious to see the queen of a whole vampire race laying her head on his chest listening to his heart.

In a wide hall in an unknown place.

This hall had nothing but a circular table in the middle, made out of white marble that had some engravings of a dragon coiling around itself as if it was sleeping.

The place was silent with nothing or no one in it, but then three figures appeared out of three glowing magic circls.

They were Rosalia’s mother, Rosalia herself, and the other orange haired woman.

’Can’t you just warn us before teleporting?’ Rosalia groaned inwardly.

She didn’t like it when her mother did things out of the blue like that. But she couldn’t complain or else, she had to face her mother’s questioning which was something she didn’t want.

Same was for the woman beside her.

"Sit down, he will be here shortly." As Rosalia’s mother said so, the two followed her orders and sat down on the seats designated to them.

It was in the following order; Rosalia on the right, the orange haird woman on the left, while Rosalia’s mother in the middle between them.

Then as they waited for a while, suddenly a magic circle appeared in the hall, glowing with a strange pattern before out of it, appeared a blonde haired, black eyed young man with a tall stature and a pair of big and black feathery wings folded on his back. Though he appeared to be a young man, his age was far from that.

He was wearing a red suit with black tie looking like a wealthy young master of some conglomerate.

But that if he didn’t have that sick flirty smile once his eyes landed on the three women that were already there in their seats.

Behind him was a woman wearing a maid uniform with average looks.

"It’s an honor to finally meet the great queen of witches, lady Yellena~" The young man said with a smile that was close to a pervert as he eyed Yellena’s body with hunger.

"You really have a quite smooth tongue, Azazel." But Yellena responded calmly as if not affected by his gaze, nonetheless the two beside her felt sick and so uncomfortable.

"Well, rumors really didn’t do you justice when they described your beauty. You are more than that~" Azazel said with the same smile adorning his face before he sat down on his seat across from the three women.

"I suppose so." Yellena replied not entertaining him more than that.

But Azazel didn’t feel discouraged by that and only seemed to look at her more with hunger and desire dripping off of him.

He really was shameless.

Then his eyes turned to the women beside her, Rosalia and the other orange haired woman.

"And who are they might be?" He asked eyeing Rosalia more as she had the same features as Yellena. And he immediately guessed their relationship which was easy considering the similarities between the two. But the other one, she didn’t look like her at all.

"My daughters, Rosalia and Eleanor." She introduced her daughters so simply without any sugarcoating.

And at hearing this, Azazel’s eyes gleamed with different light that didn’t go unnoticed by Yellena but decided to ignore it for now.

"I think it’s enough for introductions. We may proceed with what we are going to discuss, shall we?" Yellena didn’t give him any way to talk more or try to flatter any of them, shutting down any chance for him to speak with that dignified voice of hers.

"....You are right. Then let’s start with the deal I’m planning to make with the witches as the leader of the fallen." After a brief silence, Azazel’s whole demeanor changed and looked more professional and serious fitting his position as the leader of a race.

"I want to introduce a contract."

"A contract? What does it entail?" Yellena said.

"An exchange. You provide magic tools and advanced magical technology while you get a whole library filled with knowledge about different pantheons around the world and some secrets that were kept hidden from others from others and even more than that."

Azazel said as he was sure that this deal would be so good for the witches. He was benefiting from it after all, and so they were. Besides, he knew that witches coveted knowledge, it ran deep in their blood to seek more knowledge and discover more about the world and what was hidden underneath. But he failed to realize something about the dignified woman sitting across from him.

Yellena observed everything as he talked. His eyes that looked straight at her, his body posture that was relaxed, and his hand gestures as he explained about the details of the contract.

Nothing escaped her eyes and nothing looked strange.

But then, her expression changed in the next moment. It was something that was rarely seen from her.

And both Rosalia and Eleanor knew that Azazel was done for.

"I was never amazed by someone’s guts before until now. You are the first. Leader of the fallen." Her voice echoed through the hall as she said so.

"You flatter me, lady Yellena. But you know, I was always known for my courage and guts." He said feeling smug and confident about himself.

"And that may cause you some problems."

"How so~?" He still had that same smile on his face as he eyed her.

"Go figure it out yourself." Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted and a heavy unbearable pressure descended like a mountain over him along with the whole place making it shudder and tremble while Azazel felt a shiver running down his spine as he saw how she looked at him.

She had a frown and was furious.

"Daring to lie in front of me is a huge disrespect. And you have earned yourself a place on my blacklist." Deep seated anger was dripping off her voice as the pressure intensified while her eyes glowed dangerously with a suppressed killing intent that made Azazel gasp despite being the leader of his race and had such incredible power.

But in front of her and in her domain, nothing like that mattered for she was the absolute ruler right here.

"You are not welcomed here again, and the witch contracted to you will be confiscated. From now on, you don’t have any tie to us."

"W-What?!! How can you do that to me?!! You can’t—"

"I can do whatever I want, this is my place and my rules and you have broken the most important rule." Her voice was like cold water, drenching him from head to toe.

"A-And what is it?"

"You can never lie in front of the queen of witches, she always sees." This was a decree, a rule that must be followed without exception no matter who you were.

Rules were put to be followed, especially in her domain.

With that, Yellena made a hand gesture before Azazel was thrown out of the place without prior notice, not given the chance to talk or defend himself. She completely disregarded.
