Chapter 2003: The Wrath of Heavens

They feel their hearts beating like it is warning them.

Like it wanted to trigger a fight and flight response.

Some people sense it with their whole body, their danger sense is ringing alarms in their minds and heart.

Some people feel goosebumps all over their body

Because the lightning in the sky…. that is golden lightning. Not white hot, golden like someone coated the lightning

No to be more accurate it is like someone is hurling lightning from the heavens toward the earth

This is what they are feeling right now

This absurd feeling like the heaven is about to pummel down on Earth right now

BOOM!

The thunderous roars shook the sky. And for one moment, people look at the sky and fears it would fall down

The ground shakes. Not because it shakes from inwards, but the pressure from the sky shakes it.

It is truly heaven pounding on the earth. And then all the people in this island continent heard it

And they look up. And they see, the sky is splitting into two. But before they could even exclaim in shock, the sky then cracks into more pieces. Like it segmented. A weblike crack all over the skies.

This was no normal phenomenon. It was like the heaven itself is angry.

The lightning was golden at first but then people notice something else. Not only golden. There is black lightning and many other colors of lightning

One type of lightning in particular caught everyone attention. And it was a red lightning. Like light itself is angry.

And then some people notice it and the moment they notice it and understand what it is, their face turns pale white

“The Extermination Thunder!” those who recognize it are mostly Disk Formation leveler. Some people had burrows and hidden themselves but most of these people are not Disk Formation realm leveler.

Disk Formation realm leveler is quite the wall for many people.

And they possess great powers and abilities. In other words, what others couldn’t survive, they could

The other people could feel the danger.

But for Disk Formation realm leveler, danger sometimes comes with opportunity.

Those who reach Disk Formation, if they reach that realm properly without taking shortcuts or potions or using some kind of formation magic, most of those who reached using the proper way would want to ascend further

And to ascend further, they have to see their own Grand Path.

Everyone has their own Grand Path.

A Grand Path is not about right and wrong. Because it’s not about action.

It’s not about doing certain things to other people

It is about direction. It is a path.

The crystallization of one desire, wishes and compatibility.

Once you see your grand path, you walk that path.

Until the end, or until you decide to turn back

That is how it is. But walking the path and knowing the path is different.

Unlike the other stages of leveling, when one reach Disk Formation realm, those who seek the proper way, think about the Grand Path.

Those who seek only leveling up, would find a different way

The difference between the two is not easily distinguished.

But in the end, those who just think of leveling up have their path to ascension cut off.

Those who seek the Grand Path could grow further.

It is like those saying.

Dream big.

Even if you do not reach your dream, if you dream big, and work toward that dream, if it all worked out, then you would still be further than when you were making that dream

To break through to that mindset, one needs an enlightenment.

Sometimes, one finds enlightenment amidst personal tragedy.

Some find it in extreme happiness.

Some find it when they are alone.

And some just woke up one day and understand

There are many ways and many paths and as there is many paths and many ways, there is also many ways for one to gain enlightenment.

It depends on you.

But one of the most tested and true method has always been watching.

Looking at certain things, magics they did not know, battle between forces of nature, clash between gods…all of this could help someone gain understanding.

To the common people, to those people below Disk Formation realm, this phenomenon of the heaven splitting and earth shaking, dark clouds gathering, thunder and lightning dancing, all of them are precursor to something terrifying and fearsome.

But for the Disk Formation realm leveler, it is an opportunity.

So, they did not run.

Those who did not walk the proper path already went away and make themselves scarce

Those that remains are on mountains, on hills, in forest, on top of the sky, looking at the heavens.

Some make themselves known and some make themselves invisible.

They look at the heavens and watch intently

It is still a realm of powerhouses in the Universe.

So, when everyone was running, these Disk Formation realm levelers did not run, instead, they were quite curious about what kind of things or person could incite such powerful Heavenly Will to descend on this island

Yes, they also know this is the heavenly Will acting up. There is no other explanation.

they wanted to see, wanted to bet that maybe just by looking at it, it could give them some inspiration

But then the lightning appears and everyone is pale on the face.

Because these people who dares to observe these phenomena knows what kind of lightning that is and the realization make them all feel fear

That is one of the ultimate punishment thunders. Extermination thunder. It is used for tribulations.

Those who uses the energy of heaven and earth would be tested.

Or punished.

You take from the heavens and earth and you think you could just wily nily take the energy

The power refines the body and soul and other powers you cultivated but disperse the excess and unused energy back to the world

Of course, not everyone would survive it and many failed. The famous ones are usually the successful ones. It is like those who win a lottery

You heard everything about the winners, rarely you heard about the losers.

Of course, to say that the odds of surviving tribulation as rare as lottery is untrue.

As long as you make ample predations, even if you failed the tribulation, you would not die. Of course, this risk rises exponentially.

The higher you go, the more powerful the tribulation, the stronger you are the stronger the tribulation and so on and so forth.

That is the explanation and theory of the order of Thinkers about the Heavenly Will operation.

Or maybe the Heavenly Will is just pissed and taking a hammer just to punish mortals. There are many theories and no one knows for sure.

“Run!” these are the thoughts of those Disk Formation realm leveler. Red extermination thunder is not something that they could handle.

Because none of them are ready to cross that line yet. Even though they did not summon this thunder, it is a fact this thunder could fall on them

It is like playing around a thunderstorm. If above your head is a cloud full of thunderstorm, an extermination lightning and you are just standing there, it almost seems like you are begging to be hit.

These Disk Formation realm levelers quickly burrows into the ground and some break their teleportation stones to teleports thousands of miles away from the island continent

But some people gritted their teeth and look on. And some people begin to think. And now that they think about it, they begin to wonder

“This kind of chaos and spectacle…. red lightning and thunder roars that splits the world…. could the rumor be true?”

The scale of this clouds and the power it seems to contain, this is not to contain some Disk Formation realm leveler

It exceeded the kind of power that a Disk Formation realm leveler could endure. The tribulation might be dangerous but it makes sense.

If the heavens going to smite them without any possibility of surviving, then no one would have tried to break through.

“It makes sense if the chaos right now originated from that person. And if that person is here…. then this thunder and lightning is for him. And we will survive. Because…. that person is the strongest person in the world!”

Now, in the minds of many people who could deduce things form the situation of the past few days, one conclusion reached their mind

In the sky, the red lightning seems to gather and then they accumulated enough that the area around this red lightning distorts space and time.

And then a roar echoes all over the sky, creating sonic waves that shakes the building and the structure, causing the mountains to shake and the hills to tremble on the ground below. Heaven roars and the earth trembles, this is the most apt description

BOOM!

“what’s that?” the mortal below the sky could not help but exclaim and those who knows it watches it intently

In the sky, this red lightning seems to merge with each other and then it morphs into a slithering snake.

But then as more and more red lighting gathers on these red snakes, it become something else

and before long, it could no longer be called a snake but it looks like a parade of red dragons.
