Chapter 2002: The Sword and The Sky

Azief went out of that temple and when he went out Erika is no longer there. There is that tree, but there is no longer that young woman sitting on the hanging branch.

He wanted to ask the servant but then he stopped

Not meeting is good.

Not meeting is wise.

Some meetings only enhance cause and effect and some meeting only makes thing more uncomfortable. Someday he would have to pay for this favor.

And someday she too would have to pay for the cause and effect.

But today is not that day.

Azief did not say anything else.

He simply asks the formation to be opened and the moment it is opened, Azief holds Katarina hands and disappear from the top of the mountain

Then out of the shadows, Erika came out.

She looks at the area where Azief had just disappears and she could not help but sigh

“There are many questions I wanted to ask. I also wanted to ask about Will. But Wargod…Odin…hmm…it is better not to meet”

Erika then chuckles and she closes her eyes.

The Veil is shaking and she wonders what would happen later

Then Erika returns back to her temple, and she went to sleep, divining the future inside a dream

Azief arrive back at Arturia. This time he did not appears at the island or at the city walls, instead he appear instantly inside Arthur Palace.

It took Katarina a few second to get her bearing

“It is even more dizzying than the last time” she mutters. Azief hearing this only chuckles a bit

“I use the same channel and route. The energy around it is unstable but it is quite enough for us. Though, it might make you feel dizzy a bit”

Katarina look around and she frowned

This is not Pandemonium. She looks at Azief and once could tell she has question. Katrina believed that Azief would go back to Pandemonium.

But this…. the sea breeze, the squawking of seagulls, this tropical scent…. this doesn’t seem like Pandemonium. Pandemonium is a city of weirdness. It is a place where there are cities of tall trees and there are cities which look like something that came out of a cyber punk fantasy

And the energy in Pandemonium would not be like this. She had been to Pandemonium before. She knows if she is in Pandemonium or not

“You’re not going back to Pandemonium?” Azief smiles and shook his head

“There is something that I need to settle here first”

Katarina eyes narrows

“Is it about the sword?”

Azief nodded

“The Sword of Humanity” he needed that sword for now. Or to be more precise, he needs the power of faith in that sword for now. He needed that merit.

It could add some things to the energy.

The sword might have been used by Arthur. But it is created based on his powers. The reasons Arturia could maintain its peace all of these years is because of that sword.

“Then you would return home”

“We would return home” Azief said it and Katarina nodded.

Azief did not take long for this matter.

No one knows what is happening in the palace of Arturia but everyone knows something had happened.

Because a shining light from the heavens broke from the sky and landed squarely in the palace.

This scenery is witnessed by everyone in the city.

And if that is not all, there is all kinds of heavenly phenomena that begins to gather

BOOOM!

Today is a weird day for the people of the capital city of Arturia. The days are quite tense these days.

There are many rumors flying around.

And this is inevitable.

Since King Arthur had said that he harbors Death Monarch, countless rumors a conspiracies theories have been flying all over the cities

Some said that Death Monarch is in Arturia and some said it is just a ruse, a ploy by the King to enter the war in Arturia.

No one knows which one is the truth. Even though some people said that they have inside information not many people believe them

These people who claimed to have inside information said that they got the news from the guards that guarded the palace themselves.

These guards in palace are saying that Death Monarch really appears in front of the city gate and is now taking shelter in Arturia

But this did not make people believe these guards.

Instead, some become even more distrustful.

These guards…. aren’t they just the spokespersons or agents implanted by the king to make the people of Arturia and the world believe that Death Monarch is here?

Of course, there is a high chance that these guards really see all of what they claimed to see

But is what they see real?

What if King Arthur had created an illusion for his guards to believe in?

or what if all of it is just acting directed by the king and the Prime Minister so that the guards could see it and believe in it

Some people believe what the guards saw is real. But whether the situation itself is real is a matter of debate

many people did not believe that Death Monarch come to Arturia.

Some even suggested it is a hoax or a scam created by the king himself to convince the people and the world that the real Death Monarch is in the city

Some….no…. many of them believe that King Arthur fabricated the whole thing so that he would have a legitimate reason to enter the war.

They believe that the King is seeking a justification to enter the war. Of course, this might also mean that the king also has a legacy of Death Monarch

Just like Sasha use the clone of Death Monarch to command the central authority, Death Monarch might have left something for King Arthur and only now, he decided to use it

Thing is, if this is true, even though they could enter the war, most people in Arturia would not want to enter this war

Sasha is not a weak opponent and Wang Jian is a tough nut to crack. Not to mention, the number of soldiers that Arturia could mobilized would not be enough to withstand Sasha and Wang Jian armies

Some on the other hand believes that Death Monarch really did come to the island. But for what and why, this is a question that they did not know. It did not stop these people from speculating myriads of reasons why.

There are also rumors agents from the Seven World powers is also entering the island and begins infiltrating the royal forces and there are talks that the King decision could bring them into a war.

In other words, this might not be the King intention at all but it might be the work of foreign actors trying to muddy the water in Pandemonium using Arturia

A war.

This possibility made everyone in this island continent feel tense

Because this is a war that nobody wants right now. Some people said this is the plots and intrigues of either Sasha or Wang Jian wanting to drag Arturia into the civil war in Arturia

There is many of such gossips and conspiracy theories all over the places and everyone had heard their own version of what had happened.

So, even today as families goes to the parks to enjoy flowers and trees, or hawkers seeing their stuff on a stall, fighter fighting in the arena, or hunters hunting the monsters in the forest, they were suddenly shocked when they heard the sound of thunder. The sound itself was different from normal thunder.

It echoes all over the island continent like it had not limits. And that I not the only thing that is peculiar about this thunder

The thunder roars shook their souls and they felt jolted like electricity slithering all across the island continent

A powerful pressure begins to descend. In that split second, those who have sensitive Divine Sense could feel that power of oppression descending.

Then before they could even make sense of this sudden thunder, clouds gather. And these clouds turn dark and it gathered above the palace of Arturia,

The clouds gathered all over the world.

That is what it felt like.

At first, it gathered onto the palace.

But then it covered the entire island continent. It is like the entire clouds in the entire world is gathering above the island continent right now

Looking up, it is like something heavy.

And this something heavy once again bringing pressure.

The people below it already watches it with wariness and some people already narrows their eyes.

Those who are more cautious quickly enter into buildings or bring outs their armors

Some enchant themselves with some protection spell and some hide themselves in the Mirror World and some even burrow into the ground

Yet, none of them dare to fly upwards. For some reason, they could instinctive danger and did not fly toward the sky

And then, after the thunder and the sky showing some power, then come another sound and with it comes light

The fireworks and all. Only this is the fireworks of heaven. There is lightning in the sky. Those who is in the city look at the sky and they frowned

“This is not a normal lightning” one glance and they know it in their hearts and in their soul.

In the sky, the sky is getting murkier.
