Chapter 295 204: Cross-Spacetime Meeting

2:15 AM.

A deafening roar of an engine tore through the chaos and clamor of the city.

Its massive headlights blazed like blinding flames. A dark, menacing Hell Tank rampaged through the city, making no effort to conceal its presence. This brazen display drew countless Nightmare Monsters and creatures from the Spirit Realm to surround and intercept it.

“Zhou Chen, there are more and more monsters nearby.”

Inside the Chariot, Li Xiye cried out as she watched the scenery fly past the window. As they drew closer to the International Financial Mansion, the number of monsters around them began to skyrocket, as if they had driven into a sea of them.

“Not a big deal. Let’s start with the Italian Cannon.”

A Yellow Crystal appeared in Zhou Chen’s hand, containing a powerful Essence Fluctuation. It was the Core Energy Stone he had pried from the Barrier Array at the Blood Race stronghold.

He opened a sophisticated matrix compartment in the center armrest and placed the Energy Crystal inside. It was a perfect fit. Immediately after, brilliant lights flared up. Clear yellow patterns, like blood vessels, spread from the center armrest throughout the entire Chariot. Once the Energy Source was connected, the Alchemy Matrix activated.

“Gouzi, hit the red button next to the wipers,” Zhou Chen said.

Gouzi slammed his paw down on it. At the very front of the Hell Tank, a yellow beam of light instantly spewed from the mouth of a massive metal dog-head sculpture. With a thunderous BOOM, the Nightmare Monsters and creatures from the Spirit Realm blocking their path were blasted to smithereens.

“WOOF!”

The husky howled at the top of its lungs, absolutely ecstatic. It floored the accelerator while repeatedly mashing the fire button, blasting to pieces any demon fiends that dared to block its path. A second later, their shattered remains were ground into a pulp beneath the wheels.

However, their enemies weren’t just in front of them; they were coming from all directions. The dog-head cannon had a limited firing arc and couldn’t hit enemies from the sides.

Besides, not all the enemies ambushing them were pushovers.

A green-scaled serpent, over ten meters long and as thick as a water barrel, timed its jump perfectly. It leaped from the top of a tall building, the upper half of its body slamming down squarely onto the Chariot’s roof, causing the entire vehicle to sink and its speed to drop drastically.

It coiled its thick, powerful body around the Chariot, beginning to crush it. The steel frame groaned and trembled, slowly buckling inward.

Zhou Chen pressed a hand against the door. Cyan Flame flared, spreading out through the gaps in the frame. Within seconds, it had set the green-scaled serpent ablaze. Writhing in searing agony, the massive python’s crushing grip loosened. As it thrashed about, its tail was accidentally caught in the tires.

The Chariot jolted. The sheer pulling force tore the great green python’s lower body to shreds. Foul-smelling blood sprayed into the air. The massive serpent convulsed violently, and its smooth scales caused it to slide from the roof, landing right in front of the dog-head cannon.

“AWOOOO!”

Gouzi let out a great howl and fired.

BANG!

Flesh and blood flew everywhere. The great green serpent’s head was blown off at point-blank range. An unknown, viscous, yellow-green substance splattered across the windshield. Gouzi activated the wipers, which swiped back and forth, clearing away the filth.

The great green serpent’s lifeless corpse slid off the vehicle. The Chariot jolted again, ruthlessly running over the mangled flesh.

“The road’s blocked ahead!” Li Xiye shouted. The path forward was obstructed by a horde of mangled, bloody Skinless, with many more unnamable monsters behind them.

“Hm?” Zhou Chen sounded puzzled. “Looks plenty wide to me.”

Hearing this, Gouzi let out a maniacal, excited laugh. At that moment, the husky’s bloodline of destruction had fully awakened!

It slammed the accelerator to the floor. The sudden, immense thrust threw everyone back in their seats as the Hell Tank shot forward like a ravenous beast.

CRASH!!!

Upon impact, countless monsters were sent flying by the charging Chariot; even more were crushed into a bloody paste.

The Chariot didn’t slow in the slightest. It just kept ramming and trampling its way forward. To the sound of screaming rock music and the roar of its agitated engine, it embarked upon the Road to Hell!

“Time for us to get to work.”

The monsters were growing more numerous, and there were even flying ones now. If this kept up, the Chariot alone wouldn’t be able to break through.

Zhou Chen materialized a Golden Secret Sword out of thin air and handed it to Li Xiye. “The Bloodthirsty Secret Sword, more commonly known as the Bloodthirsty Sword. You restore health and mana by attacking enemies with it.”

He had forged this Weapon by melting down a replica of the Blood Chalice and adding numerous Extraordinary Materials. Commonly known as the Bloodthirsty Sword, it could absorb an enemy’s Life Force and Essence and channel them back to its wielder.

He then opened the sunroof and was the first to climb out. Li Xiye followed right behind him.

The wide roof of the Chariot was now their battlefield.

Li Xiye looked at the relentless tide of monsters chasing the Chariot, feeling overwhelmed. “There are so many of them. What do we do?”

“Just kill them all.”

Zhou Chen formed a High-Explosive Alchemy Bomb and casually tossed it. A burst of flame and a deafening roar erupted as the blast wave howled outward. Countless monsters were killed, but against the seemingly endless tide, it was merely a drop in the ocean.

“Didn’t you say the Star Association was holding back the creatures from the Spirit Realm? Why are there still so many?”

Li Xiye thrust her sword, piercing a winged, rotting black cat, then slashed backhanded, killing a red-eyed crow with a razor-sharp beak.

“Have you ever considered the possibility that this *is* the situation *after* the Star Association has intercepted most of them?” Zhou Chen said, gripping his lapis-gold Long Saber as he chopped a crimson gecko climbing onto the Chariot in two.

“This… but this is still way too many,” Li Xiye said helplessly.

Lured by the delicious scent of the living, many monsters now targeted the duo on the roof. They pounced forward in a frenzy, only to be mercilessly cut down by sword and saber. Their corpses would fall, only to be trampled into meat paste by the pursuing army of monsters.
