Chapter 306: Slaughtering the Six Saver Guild (3)
The security feed on the third floor broadcasted pure carnage.
The maid girl stepped out of the stairwell, her expression completely blank. She wore the simple denim skirt and cotton t-shirt Solomon had given her, looking entirely out of place in the corporate hallway.
A squad of heavily armored guild enforcers charged down the corridor, wielding electrified batons and heavy riot shields. "Take her down!" the squad leader roared.
She did not flinch. She simply took a single, casual step forward.
The lead enforcer swung his crackling baton directly at her temple. The maid girl raised her left arm, catching the heavy steel rod on her bare forearm. The electrified weapon sparked violently, discharging thousands of volts directly into her skin.
However, she did not even blink. The electricity grounded out harmlessly against her ancient, superhuman physiology.
She grabbed the enforcer’s wrist, twisted it outward until the bone snapped audibly, and pulled him forward. Driving her knee squarely into his reinforced breastplate, the force caved the thick steel armor inward like a crushed aluminum can. The man’s ribs shattered instantly, and he collapsed onto the floorboards, coughing up blood.
The remaining enforcers hesitated, their eyes wide with shock.
The maid girl did not wait for them to recover. She stepped inside the guard of the next enforcer, delivering an open-palm strike directly to the center of his chest. The impact sounded like a cannon blast. The man was launched backward, crashing through a reinforced glass partition and tumbling into an adjacent office cubicle.
Two enforcers raised their riot shields, forming a defensive wall to block her path. The maid girl simply cocked her right fist back and punched the center of the interlocking shields.
The solid polycarbonate shattered into thousands of shards. The shockwave carried through the ruined shields, snapping both men’s arms and sending them flying down the hallway.
She continued her methodical advance. She moved without care, wasting no energy on flashy martial arts or unnecessary acrobatics. Every single strike was dealt maximum impact.
An Awakened fire-mage stepped out of an elevator, hurling a condensed sphere of blazing magical fire directly at her face. The maid girl simply swatted the fireball aside with the back of her hand as if it were an annoying insect. The flames splashed against the wall, scorching the wallpaper, but leaving her skin completely unblemished.
She closed the distance to the mage in a fraction of a second. She grabbed him by the collar of his uniform, lifted his entire body off the ground with one hand, and hurled him down the corridor. He crashed into a squad of reinforcements, knocking them all down like bowling pins.
The executives watching the security feed in the Guild Master’s office stared in absolute horror.
"What the hell is she?!" the lead investor screamed, backing away from the monitors. "Swords and magic are not even scratching her!"
Down on the fourth floor, the armored guild captain finally arrived with his elite personal guard. These were veteran A-rank adventurers, seasoned fighters who had survived countless high-tier dungeons.
The captain drew his heavy broadsword, his blade glowing with a thick layer of condensed red aura. "Form up! Do not underestimate her! Attack in unison!"
The elite squad surrounded the maid girl in the center of the wide lobby. Four swordsmen lunged simultaneously from different angles, aiming for her vital points.
The maid girl didn’t bother dodging. She simply stood her ground as the longsword struck her shoulder, a battle axe chopped at her thigh, and a spear thrust directly at her ribs. The weapons sparked upon impact, but the sharpened steel completely failed to pierce her skin. The blades simply bounced off her flesh as if striking a solid block of titanium.
The veteran adventurers froze, staring at their useless weapons in disbelief.
The maid girl tilted her head slightly. She reached out, grabbed the shaft of the spear, and violently yanked it forward. The spearman was pulled off balance. She delivered a brutal roundhouse kick to his head, snapping his neck instantly.
She spun around, catching the handle of the battle axe before the attacker could recover his swing. She crushed the thick wooden handle into splinters with her bare grip. Stepping into his blind spot, she drove an elbow strike into his spine, folding him backward onto the marble floor.
The captain roared in anger, swinging his aura-coated broadsword in a horizontal sweep aimed directly at her neck.
The maid girl raised her hand and caught the glowing, aura-infused blade directly in her bare palm.
The captain’s eyes bulged out of his skull. He pushed with all his might, channeling every drop of his internal energy into the weapon, but the blade would not budge a single millimeter.
She looked at the struggling captain, her dark eyes entirely devoid of emotion. Then, she squeezed her fingers and the sword of the A-rank broadsword groaned, buckled, and shattered into metallic fragments.
Before the captain could even process the destruction of his weapon, she stepped forward and drove a straight, devastating punch directly into his armored chest.
The impact tore straight through the heavy steel plating. The captain’s sternum shattered, and his flesh split open from the sheer, concussive force of the blow. He was launched entirely across the lobby, crashing through the heavy mahogany doors of a conference room and slumping lifelessly against the far wall.
The remaining elite guards dropped their broken weapons and fled in terror, scrambling toward the emergency stairwells.
The maid girl did not chase them. She simply turned her attention toward the elevator banks, pressed the call button, and waited patiently for the doors to open so she could ascend to the executive floor.
"Is this how it works?" she wondered. "Why do people of this world not take the stairs?"
She had only stepped into the modern world that very morning, yet she had already begun to put the knowledge she gained from Solomon’s educational playlist to practical use.
She understood the basic function of the metal box, recognizing the glowing buttons as the mechanism for ascension.
