Chapter 1858: Chapter 1868: A Family of Four Goes Out to Play

This morning, that Dubious Man next door called to say he wanted to take him and Gigi to the amusement park. He immediately knew the guy was after his woman.

He didn’t really want to agree, but recalling what Enna Clark said to him yesterday, he agreed anyway.

Doubtful Man marrying Enna Clark is better than Enna marrying Lyle Westbrook.

At least he wasn’t so against calling that Doubtful Man dad.

Besides, if his woman really got together with Uncle Westbrook, they’d definitely have kids of their own. It’s not that he didn’t believe Enna Clark would always love them.

He just didn’t believe a stepfather would be as good as a biological father.

Don’t TV series often portray stepmothers as evil?

So, after much deliberation, he still ended up choosing the Dubious Man.

Bobby grew increasingly frustrated.

He was glad the Dubious Man wanted to marry Enna Clark but was unhappy that the Dubious Man would be competing with him for his woman. So, his feelings were really complicated right now.

Scott Harris, seeing that he hadn’t moved for a while, worried that he’d change his mind and not go. He quickly called him, "Young Master?"

"Hmm?" Bobby finally snapped out of his thoughts, feeling even more frustrated. But he still let go of Enna Clark’s hand and climbed into the car.

After getting in, he immediately beckoned Enna Clark, "Mummy, come sit next to me."

If Enna Clark sat next to him, she’d be a little further from the Dubious Man. Plus, with him in the middle, even if the Dubious Man wanted to do something, he couldn’t.

Enna Clark had never seen anyone so conflicted; one moment insisting she come along to the amusement park with him, the next deliberately causing trouble for Baron. She couldn’t quite figure out if he liked his dad or not.

"...Alright." But Enna Clark didn’t want to humiliate him, so she got in and sat next to him.

Scott Harris immediately closed the car door for them.

Then he quickly rounded to the front and got in.

Starting the car, he said, "Ms. Clark, today, Lord specifically found an amusement park suitable for both Young Master and Little Miss. It has a carousel and more, which Little Miss will surely like."

He paused, glanced at the little boy who had been pursing his lips and not speaking since getting in through the rearview mirror, and continued, "Besides, the amusement park has the roller coasters and hamburgers that the Young Master likes."

He saw the little boy in the mirror, who was trying hard to keep a straight face, suddenly show a flash of surprise and delight in his eyes, though he controlled himself well and didn’t reveal much of his mood. But his tense expression relaxed quite a bit. He pursed his lips and managed to keep from smiling as he spoke, "Lord got up very early this morning and visited a few places to choose this amusement park for Little Miss and Young Master."

Baron hadn’t expected him to mention even that, and he frowned, stopping him, "When did you become so chatty?"

He said so much; if Enna Clark misunderstood that he had asked him to say it, what would she think?

He wasn’t the kind of man who boasts about every little thing he does!

"Sorry, Lord." Scott Harris realized this too and promptly shut his mouth.

Baron got up early and checked out several amusement parks just to pick one that Gigi and Bobby might enjoy?

A hint of a smile flashed through Enna Clark’s eyes. She sat far away, with Bobby in between, so no one noticed her suddenly softer expression.

The car finally stopped at the entrance of the amusement park.
