Limitless Summoner System
Chapter 90: Finding A Balance
After school on Wednesday, Tyler canceled their usual group get together. He wanted to relax with his future wives after all the chaos they’d been through the past few weeks. From the vampiric nobility, battle with Leviathan, the nonsense with their homeroom teacher, Nyx’s birthday and the upcoming tournament, everyone was exhausted.
They all cuddled up in bed watching a movie without anyone really saying much. Tyler realized this would probably be a really good time to go give Leviathan his big meal so after the movie finished, he asked Nyx if he could teleport everyone to the location Ash provided.
They arrived on the beach and it was serene. The moon glazed off the water’s reflection with a pure sky full of stars. Tyler and his fiancees sat down for a few minutes star gazing when a shooting star shot by.
"Make a wish!" Tyler said excitedly.
"Huh?" Sophie asked.
Amanda giggled. "Why would we make a wish, mister! It’s just a moving star!"
Kass and Nyx just smiled.
"Oh, my parents always told me if you see a shooting star, you should make a wish because it’s good luck. I guess I just come from a different background," Tyler laughed with a large smile painted across his face like he just won the lottery.
"Aw! That’s cute actually. We almost never see them anyway!" Sophie said while hugging him from his right side.
’I wish to get happily married and enjoy 4 honeymoons before this Apocalypse nonsense happens.’ Tyler thought to himself, hoping they would also make a wish.
"Earth traditions. You are an old soul Tyler," Leviathan laughed, that deep, unmistakable rumble Tyler now easily recognized.
"Ha, yeah. I mean I’ve been here for almost 5 months now. Seems like it’s just flown right by."
"Yup, it certainly has. So many things to look forward to and a lot to prepare for. We need to find a proper balance," Ash chuckled.
"You think?" Shadow laughed. "I was just a platinum show dog for a Professor until I met Tyler, now I’m part of 7 Eidolons that share the same host. It’s nice everyone gets along. I’m assuming that’s rare for a group of Eidolons?"
"Depends on the way you look at it. Back in the days with hundreds of summoners on many planets, there were some so powerful they had 200 or more Eidolons. The last Sanju member to summon mom and dad held over 1000 and everyone got along. They all respected him and he respected us." Ritsu sighed.
"The good old days. Now it’s just a damn mess." Vivian laughed.
"Wait, how far back do all of you go? Tyler asked curiously.
"The number isn’t even important anymore if I’m being honest. Billions of years Tyler, at least for me. Gaia and Seraphim are older and there are gods older than our parents." Leviathan answered in a relaxed tone.
"Wow. I can’t even begin to understand time like that. How do you not lose your mind and keep your sanity?"
"Sleep. We can go into a deep slumber for one day or forever. The only people who can bring us out of it are the gods and goddesses. My mom and dad really should take a break at some point." Ash sighed. "It’s been over a billion years since they last rested."
"Yes, mom especially. She works too hard." Ritsu said, frowning.
"Its been around for 500,000 years me since my last slumber," Leviathan added.
"Well, when this is all said and done, hopefully you can all take a nice rest and I can take some weight off your shoulders!"
"As long as you lift this curse, I’m good with whatever happens Tyler. You should really go meet my sister."
"Isn’t that going to send me up to SSS though? Isn’t that too much power too quickly?"
"Your growth is limitless. It’s the way mom set it up. That’s all I’ll say, go enjoy your time with the ladies and enjoy the Leviathan show!" Ash cheerfully chirped.
"Thanks everyone. We’ll go tomorrow. That’s their girls night so it’ll be perfect."
"I’ll let her know. You’re going to have to link with me and carry Nyxara to teleport somewhere out in the middle of this ocean." Ash reminded him.
"Ok, will do. Leviathan, give me like 10 minutes."
"No rush kid. Thank you!"
Tyler’s ladies were chit-chating about potential strategies for the tournament. Nyxara explained more details on the forest and why it changes every night. She admitted there were Eidolons in the forest that got out somehow hundreds of years ago and they took control over the forest. They bred beasts they personally created, according to her family’s knowledge.
She didn’t know all of the details, but they now guessed how they got there. It was probably Professor VanHorn’s family line opening pentagrams to bring them to Vexarra.
Vivian was listening and overheard the information.
"Tyler, not to add more to your plate, but the forest is the forest because the VanHorns started bringing Eidolons here hundreds of years ago. You’re going to have to shut that thing down in the tournament. It’s not safe for anyone to have rogue Eidolons ruling over a planet."
"Thanks for the heads up. I wonder why all of you didn’t know this? Is it because your parents can’t interfere with the galaxies?
"Yes and without a host, we wouldn’t be here and summoners, aside from the young master Sanju who passed away before you arrived, have been extinct on this planet for a long time.
Tyler gave Amanda, Kass and Sophie a hug and kiss and explained everything he just learned. He said he’d be right back. He linked with Ash and flew into the air with Nyx tightly wrapped in his arms.
"Don’t you dare drop me!" She playfully teased.
"Never babe. I will never let you go, I promise. I love you now and forever. You’re kinda stuck with me and the rest of us." Tyler said sincerely.
"You’re so sweet. I love you too. Alright, let’s get this thing going. There should be massive whales here."
Tyler spoke out loud for Nyx to hear.
"Leviathan, come on out to eat!"
