Chapter 86: The Secret Academy Room [Bonus]

Tyler and Nyxara spent a romantic birthday dinner together where they were formally introduced as prince and princess. Tyler was proud of the positive feedback Kass, Sophie and Amanda received from the royal chamber for the way they all conducted themselves during their meetings. Even the Queen praised their intelligence and charisma.

He bought Nyxara a diamond necklace with a ruby angelic heart as well as some ruby earrings. Kass even switched nights with her on her regular rotation so she could have alone time with Tyler. They spent an evening of sensual sex, with some roleplay and other things, but it was just the two of them. The rest of the ladies went back to the apartment that Sunday to prepare for school.

It felt like ages ago. The new year had come and gone and so much had changed over winter break. Everyone woke up Tuesday morning and got ready for school. They walked to the cafeteria and Tyler was glad to see his friends. Adam and company were with Sophie’s friends at breakfast exchanging stories.

Adam immediately "bro" hugged Tyler and they were both happy to have their best friend back.

"You wanna be my best man Adam?"

"Hell ya bro! I’ll proudly stand up there with you. Congrats again, are you ready for these other schools to start arriving?"

"How the hell do they all fit?!?!"

"Magic genius!" Adam playfully nudged Tyler, laughing.

"They build makeshift large apartments with rooms for professors and such. It’s only the top students from the 7 schools so it’s not like entire campuses are coming."

"Always good to have the home field advantage! Sleep in our own beds and enjoy our campus."

Adam and Cece were growing closer and met each other’s parents.

After their first two periods, they came to homeroom and Tyler noticed Professor VanHorn leave without notifying anyone.

"Adam. Send your smallest snakes to follow him. If he finds something, have him use your visual prowess to see what he’s up to."

A tiny ball python emerged and slowly slithered, keeping a safe distance from Mr. VanHorn. He took a turn toward the staff housing. After ensuring no one was there, he went into his home, room 6, removed the picture from the wall and continued down the secret tunnel.

He went to the table and reviewed some notes before making adjustments to his demonic pentagram. The snake linked with Adam.

Not wanting to cause paranoia, Adam quickly leaned and whispered to Tyler,

"The professor lives in room 6 in staff housing. There’s a secret passageway leading to a creepy room behind a large painting of elven warriors. That’s where the original pentagram that sucked you into the Land of Summoned Monsters is!"

"I need to see Nyxara’s father. He has a homeroom class, correct?"

"Yeah bro, I’ll cover for you. If the professor comes back I’ll say you went to the bathroom."

"Thanks, I appreciate it."

He whispered to Sophie, then Amanda, "I love you, I’ll be back shortly."

Amanda reminded him, "Remember, you can always portal to the Land of Summoned Monsters or teleport to one of us if you’re in danger."

He smiled and quickly walked to Nyx’s dads homeroom. He knocked on the door twice and Professor Atwood excused himself after seeing Tyler through the window in the door.

"Hello Tyler, what can I help you with?"

"Hey professor! I was wondering if you could please tell me where Nyxara’s homeroom is?"

"Why didn’t you just call or text her?" He said with a kind smile. "Anyway, it’s Professor Swanson in the east corridor, next to the second year dojo.

"Thank you. If I’m not back for dueling, can you please inform Professor Sanju that I had an urgent matter to attend to?"

"Yes. Tyler, what’s going on?"

"I don’t have much time, I’ll fill you in later, sorry!" Tyler said before hastily walking away.

He pulled out his phone and texted Nyx.

"Can you please get excused from homeroom? I really need you right now."

He continued walking and received a notification.

"I’ll be out in 2 minutes. Where should we meet?"

"Outside the second years dojo. Love you."

"Love you too."

’What the hell could this creep possibly be doing and Bahamut already handled it, why would he want to go back?’

Nyxara loved that Tyler’s eyes always lit up with love and admiration for her whenever he saw her.

"Babe, what’s wrong? You’re running your hand through your hair again...that’s when you’re always nervous."

Tyler spoke as softly as he possibly could. Other people wouldn’t be able to understand but with Nyx’s abilities, it wouldn’t be a problem.

"Professor VanHorn has a secret passageway outside of his apartment for the faculty. I need you to teleport us into Room 6."

She quickly grabbed his hand, checked to see if anyone was there before vanishing with Tyler.

He immediately recognized the painting on the wall and went to remove it, only, it wouldn’t come off the wall.

"Sealed with magic. Can you get behind it Nyx?"

She tried and successfully got to the other side, returned, hugged Tyler and they were both in the tunnel’s entrance.

"This is where he has that pentagram. He left our homeroom without saying a word so I had Adam use one of his snakes to track it. Let’s be careful, I love you, thank you Nyx." Tyler whispered while igniting a small flame in his hand.

"Woah, this corridor is huge. We need to be careful Tyler!"

They tip-toed hand in hand checking for any trip-wires, traps, detectors when they both spotted an invisible magical barrier.

"That would have probably turned us to dust if we walked through it..." Nyx gasped.

"Can we disable or teleport around it safely? I don’t want you to get hurt Nyxy."

"Use Ritsu, she can probably figure it out!"

Tyler facepalmed. "I’m such an idiot sometimes! Thank you babe," Tyler said while giving her a kiss.

"You’re not an idiot, you are just very eager to get there before it’s too late!" Nyx smiled. "I love you too Tyler."

"Ritsu, I need you out and can you figure out this barrier please? If anyone else has an idea, please let me know."

Ritsu and Vivian appeared and the kitsune, now with her fourth tail beautifully glowing in the dark, scanned the area in her fox form.

’WHY am I so absent minded today?!’ Tyler thought, perplexed.

’System analyze this area.’

[There is a protective barrier perpendicular to your path forward. Would you like me to disable it?"

’Yes, please do it. Thank you system!’

[The barrier will be inactive for 15 seconds.]

’Full recall.’

"Nyx quick!" He whispered as they dashed through the opening and noticed an oak door at the end of the tunnel with a password combination lock..

"Please don’t touch that door until we know it’s safe," Tyler said while giving her a hug.

He was baffled that there wasn’t a security camera so he assumed his Professor was confident in his magical protection on the picture and barrier in route.

’Inspect this door to make sure there are no booby-traps or nasty side-effects from touching it.’

[There are no spells detected on this door, nor any harmful booby-traps around. Would you like me to enter the combination?]

’One minute please, I need to talk to Nyx.

"Nyx, we can get in. I have the password now. What do you think we should do? According to Adam this is the room that contains the pentagram to force your way into the Eidolon realm."

Nyxara thought about it for a moment. She was always calm, cool and collected.

"Open it." she winked.

’Enter passcode.’

[Unlocked.]

They stepped in, startling the Professor.

"What the hell are you two doing here!" He screamed while shooting off two rapid spells at the couple.
