Limitless Summoner System
Chapter 158 - 1000 vs Tyler
Over the weekend into Monday, they followed the rotation, and not much happened on Vexarra. Tuesday rolled around, and they were chilling in homeroom when alarms went off. The Necrams arrived. Tyler used his system to send a message to the girls.
[This is my fight, not yours. Stay inside unless I’m in danger. Love you.]
They received the message, although he was able to explain to Sophie and Amanda why. They all watched the livestream, so they figured it was just the commander. Tyler teleported to the dean’s office, gave him the same message, and headed out about 2 miles outside the school.
’System, how many of these AI bots are coming?’
[Scanning... Scanning... 1,000 of their lower-tier bots.]
’Excellent.’ Tyler smirked. ’I can’t give away the power of my staff. Everything else is pretty much fair game. I’m not even getting a system quest for this, so this shouldn’t be too bad. Hope they have cameras like I asked.’
The silver bots marched in a square formation with one at the front. He was slightly larger than the rest, but they couldn’t be more than 8 feet tall. They didn’t look intimidating at all. They looked like scout bots with giant yellow beams on their heads. As soon as they got close, Tyler let them all shoot charges, and he absorbed them with his staff.
[Congratulations! Your staff is now level 9. 10 stat points awarded in each category. Would you like me to release the charge?]
’No. Store it for later.’
[Understood.]
Tyler quickly let his Eidolons out and linked with Vox. He teleported through them with ease, swinging his staff like a bat and knocking their heads clean off. Every time they shot at him, he either teleported through it or used magic to blow them up. He noticed several AI cameras toward the back of the army.
"Ash, nuke those cameras. We don’t need them getting more intel on us." Tyler grinned.
"On it!" Ash screeched as he let out a powerful blast that knocked out over 100 cameras. After four or five blasts, all the cameras were gone.
"SON OF A BITCH!" Commander Alger yelled. "How is one fucking summoner making us look so foolish? General Astrid, what the fuck is going on with this unit?"
"You told me to send 1,000 scouting units for them to show us their power. Did you really think the child from the interview would show up alone? None of us did. You cannot fault me for not taking that into consideration," she said matter-of-factly, smashing her tablet into pieces.
"I pay you to take every scenario into account... although, I must admit... the boy showing up alone is a bit strange. How can he teleport through us so easily?!" the commander screamed at the rest of the generals. He hated that they were fighting blind.
Meanwhile, Dean Pritchett and the rest of Vexarra were celebrating. One summoner and 1,000 bots, and he was making it look like a stroll through the park.
’He hasn’t even discharged his staff yet. What a fucking genius! I could kiss Master Sanju right now!’ he thought while laughing.
Tyler continued to blast the bots with ease. He used some of them as target practice, and when he was certain all of the cameras were gone, he released his staff, and the electricity from it shocked all of the bots and blew them into oblivion. He went and picked up a head from one of them as a souvenir.
Kass and the others teleported to him. Kass unloaded her dimensional space but did bring Tyler a jug of Esper’s super juice, which he took a sip of.
[You are fully restored.]
{You have loaded 15 dismembered bots into your demonic dimensional void. Congratulations! You may now store 75 items.}
"Well, that was easy... too easy," Tyler muttered skeptically.
"Looks like they just sent scouts. I wouldn’t be surprised if more came," Nyx said calmly.
*******
"Well, do we send more?" General Davicci asked.
"No, not today. We’ll send them tonight. I know they have that system that alerts them, but if we send the dark green ones, they might have more trouble?" Commander Alger suggested.
"I doubt it. Did you see that kid’s raw power? He has 12 Eidolons with him. If anything, I say we should attack a different school tonight," General DeRock suggested.
"What good is that gonna do? The fucker can teleport. You saw him phasing through our bots like it was nothing. What the hell is that power? It clearly was not simple teleportation," the commander demanded while smashing another tablet.
"Perhaps he can open a door to a different realm and temporarily travel there?" General Astrid suggested.
"That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever—"
"Shut the fuck up. I think she’s right. Roll back the footage." The commander shot a sticky goo over the other general’s mouth.
They watched the footage several times, and for a fraction of a second, Tyler was there, then he wasn’t.
"That’s what it is. How the hell do we counter that?" the commander asked his group of generals.
"The rods!" General Astrid exclaimed. "We need one of them to start draining his power just for a second. If they hit him before he tries to move, he won’t be able to teleport or travel dimensionally!"
"Genius. Okay, the next attack will be on the Arctic Academy. All of our research suggests that the visibility is low and it’s cold up there. General Astrid, it will be your responsibility to neutralize Tyler," Alger ordered his group.
"Do you really think he’d be foolish enough to teleport there himself?" Astrid countered.
"What, are he and his wives going to take out 10,000 of our higher-level bots?" Everyone laughed.
********
Tyler and his wives returned to the main lab, where the techs started working on the AI bots. They were surprised at how advanced they were for just minor scouting bots.
"I think the next wave is going to be a lot more difficult and not something Tyler should take lightly," the head technician said.
"All right, ladies, next attack, you’re with me." Tyler grinned. "Bring these fuckers on!"
