Limitless Summoner System
Chapter 146: Intergalactic Affairs
On Vexarra, the military continued to try and get any intel on the enemies. They had several teleporting users get in and out quickly but they weren’t able to gather much information. The majority of the army remained in the sky, hovering over the Vexarran terrain like they owned it.
The head of the military on Vexarra sent out communication to the mothership but received no signal back. It wasn’t until the demigod judge, Cyrus Vayne, reached out did they receive any type of answer. When asked what they were doing on Vexarra, the Commander simply stated they were there to take their power and move on. The demigod wasn’t thrilled with the news and asked why he wasn’t notified. They basically told him they answered to no one and would do whatever they pleased.
Cyrus went back to Paradise and informed Zeus of the situation.
"You know the rules Cyrus. No divine intervention," Zeus said with a long sigh.
"Technically I’m half human. How is it divine intervention if I assist them in the fight?" He countered.
"Because I’m giving you a direct order not to help them. Oversee the OEA as you always have. Keep an eye on that Rask family. I believe they will be large players in this war. Bahamut swore he was the right selection and it seems like each passing day his recommendation was a good one." Zeus admitted.
"Yes, but can a summoner, a demon, a vampire, an elf and a human really save the world, even if they’re immortal?" Cyrus didn’t look confident as he asked.
"It’ll take a lot more than just the five of them. Vexarra is the strongest planet in Orion. This will decide the galaxy’s fate. If they do not stop the Necrams, they will most definitely continue to the next Universe."
"How can you be so sure? I’m sorry I don’t doubt you my lord, it’s just that has not been done by anyone who isn’t Eidolon or a god. Not even the great Seraphim could dimensionally travel after his curse." Cyrus said as a shiver ran down his spine.
"That curse was necessary and one of the hardest things I’ve had to do as absolute ruler. I understand his point of view but to kill your host rather than looking for other means to try and stop him..." Zeus cut himself off.
"I digress, anyway, please return to your intergalactic oversight. If anything changes on Vexarra that you feel is important, please do not hesitate to let me know," Zeus said while patting Cyrus on the back.
"I will talk to you soon," Cyrus said before he disappeared back to his OEA ship, which was still floating around the Orion galaxy.
’Well, hopefully Tyler is using this time to strengthen his family because they’re going to need him.’ Cyrus thought while rolling his eyes at the stack of paperwork in front of him.
"Another trial in 5 Judge Vayne," his assistant said with a frown. "Are you sure you’re ok Cyrus? You look so exhausted. Why not take a week or two off?"
"I wish I could but now simply is not the time. Is this another dark arts case?" He asked his assistant with a faint smile.
"It is. Why the sudden, sharp increase in these cases?" She asked politely.
Cyrus and his assistant worked together for over 500,000 years. They had a very close relationship and they were able to vent to each other because they couldn’t talk to anyone else about OEA affairs. She passed up several promotions to remain his assistant and lived a comfortable life on the OEA enterprise.
"I’m not sure but now isn’t exactly the time we need to be dealing with dark magic when there’s an apocalypse going on," he said while transforming into his suit and tie.
"Alright Maggie, let’s head in there," he said while walking toward her.
"Cyrus... before you go, I have one more thing to say," Maggie said with a small smile.
"What’s that?" Cyrus asked with an eyebrow raised.
"I’m sorry Zeus wouldn’t let you help in the war. You would have been a great addition to that army. Vexarra could have used someone as noble and true as you," she said while giving him a hug.
"Thanks Mags. I thought we agreed you weren’t going to use your telepathy on me?" He chuckled.
"Well, you weren’t going to tell me or talk about it so I figured I’d make it easy for you." She laughed.
"Yeah, you know how he is with rules. Anyway, we’re going to be late, let’s go."

Tyler and the ladies continued their journey north and fought off rogue beasts along the way. Some of them were new, some of them looked familiar. Tyler let Kass and Amanda do most of the heavy lifting as they had the most to gain. Sophie, Nyx and he would jump in when they needed help, which wasn’t often. Kass had just dismantled a horde of werewolves with Amanda’s buffs and she was getting really good with her spear. Her Qi technique added extra power to each thrust she killed a massive boar that charged Kass from behind.
"Ooooooh, those are safe to eat! Looks like we’re eating good today!" Ash said cheerfully.
Tyler cut out the heart for Amanda and her and Kass took a swig from one of the jugs. Without fail, it always restored their health, mana, any status ailments they had and left them full. They cooked the meat and Tyler let all of his Eidolons out, including Leviathan, who came out in his Eidolon form. They loaded their backups up with the crystal hearts, ate, rested a bit and were on their way. They were making good time.

They passed two more factions they didn’t recognize but chose to keep heading onward. The issue they always had in the Land of Summoned Monsters was it was almost always dark. There was no sun or moon, just a cycle of darkness that was lit by fires.
"Ash, you never explained how this realm is able to exist without any sunlight. How are there those weird trees, grass and all of those other things with no nutrients?" Tyler asked curiously as they finally started to see snow.
"Well, beasts are the answer. Not every beast is some big massive threat. There are insects, just like Vexarra or even Earth. Everything here was created to live and thrive by my parents so it just works," Ash tried his best to explain.
"It’s really complex and I don’t think anyone other than my mother and father understand it fully," Ritsu interjected. "That’s why many Eidolons were sad when the summoners died off. They were our way to see the world. Now, it’s just you, which is ok with me."
"Tyler, I think we should set up camp for the evening," Nyx said while staring at a beautiful range filled with snowcapped mountains everywhere.
Kass pulled out the tent and they attached it to a nearby purple tree.
"Woah, this thing is incredible!" Sophie said as she walked inside the tent. "Big comfy mattress for all of us!"
