Limitless Summoner System
Chapter 144: The Apocalypse?
Tyler and Nyx dropped their barrier and they all followed the dean to the control room. It was nothing like they ever imagined or had seen before. There were hundreds of workers on thousands of monitors displaying everything in real time while others edited clips from past events. They were quickly ushered into a room labeled, "Board of Directors," and the Dean told Tyler to speak.
"Hello everyone. Today at approximately 3:10 PM, an unknown air strike happened in the land of the elves. We have proof of the location of the attack from Amanda’s cell phone. We are not sure what their next move is, but we must ensure the lockdown and safety of this school. As the Vampiric Prince, I feel it is necessary to inform all governing bodies, the military, both ability and non-ability based," Tyler stated calmly and clearly.
"Yes, good call on canceling the tournament. Is there any imminent danger to anyone at this location?" Mr. McFaggen asked.
"Not that we know of sir. It looks like they struck the land of the elves and the fleet has not moved. I’m not entirely sure how any of this works, but I think it’d be best if I headed to the Eidolon Realm and got as many answers there as I can. Please contact the necessary people for me?" Tyler asked politely.
"Already ahead of you Mr. Rask. Great job in this tournament and thank you for being upfront about this situation. The military is moving in slowly to see if we can get any detail on this race." One of the members of the board said.
Tyler noticed almost everyone was on the phone with someone. He turned and saw military officials had already arrived and were helping escort the other academies back "home" via the monitors for the tournament.
"How advanced is the military here? I’m sorry, I grew up home scho–"
"We know Mr. Rask. The ability military has some of the strongest people on Vexarra. There are also people who work strictly in the field of intergalactic safety, I think you’ve met them, the OEA." Dean Pritchett answered calmly.
"Yes, is Cyrus going to take action or how does this work?" Tyler asked while squeezing Amanda’s hand. She finally stopped crying.
"Mrs. Rask, can we get you anything? I’m so very sorry about your situation and the loss of your people," Mr. McFaggen asked, clearly avoiding Tyler’s question.
"Tissues would be nice, thank you sir." She said with a faint smile.
"You can’t let this break you Mrs. Rask. You’ve come too far and you are one of the strongest students any of these schools has to offer. Don’t let this leave the room, but it would not surprise me if the military called upon our universities to help in this war," Mr. McFaggen said while giving her a box of tissues.
Tyler nodded and made a portal to the Land of Summoned Monsters. "Keep us informed, please."
"Be safe." The Dean waved as they walked through the portal.
"There he is!" Esper said cheerfully.
"What are the odds we end up here?" Tyler shook his head in disbelief. "Hey Esper, sorry for the not so warm welcome. It appears Vexarra has been attacked by an unknown enemy."
Esper immediately noticed Amanda wasn’t her normal self and went over to her. He gave her a big hug and whispered something in her ear.
"I can make you forget, if you’d like?" He politely offered.
She weighed the decision. Part of her wanted to forget all of the persecution and hate she received growing up. Then she remembered her parents last text message to her and she simply couldn’t bear losing all the memories of them.
"That’s very thoughtful Esper, but if I don’t have any memories of my family...I won’t have any memories of my home or meeting Tyler. Thank you." Amanda said while returning the short man’s hug.
Nyx whispered to Tyler what she heard via her supersonic hearing and it made Tyler smile.
’She’s come so far. That is such a tempting offer... to forget all the pain and hardship. On the other hand, I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have my memories from Earth. It’s shaped me into who I am today.’ He thought while admiring each one of his beautiful wives.
"I’d love to stay, but we need to return to the Castle immediately," Tyler said while giving Esper a hug.
"Here, take this." Esper said while tossing Tyler a giant bottle.
"Esper, what’s this?" Tyler smiled.
"It’s my latest creation. Food, mana, relaxation and health. One swig should do the trick. Don’t drink too much of it." He smirked.
Tyler popped the top off and even the ladies admired the aroma. He took a sip.
[Ping! Your health, mana and energy are now full. You are no longer hungry.]
"Woah, you have to try this," he said, handing it to Amanda.
{Ping! You have begun relaxing. Health, mana and energy replenished.}
All of the girls took a swig and the bottle barely looked touched.
"This is truly amazing Esper, thank you." Sophie said while handing it back to Tyler.
"Tyler, let me have it?" Kass asked.
"Yeah sure babe what’s up?" Tyler said while handing the bottle to Kass.
’Limitless Demonic System please store this potion in my dimensional void.’ She thought.
{Dimensional void items: 16. You may store up to 50 until it levels up. Potion dissipating now.}
The group watched in awe as the bottle disappeared out of Tyler’s hand and floated in a black orb, much like Tyler’s summons would, into Kass’ chest.
"You have a storage skill now?!" Nyx asked in amazement.
"Yup, up to 50 items so if you ever want me to carry your gear for you, let me know. We can all thank Tyler for that one." Kass smirked.
"Truly remarkable what this young group has accomplished in such a short time. Now quickly, I’m sure Bahamut and Asura are waiting!" Esper said while walking with them out of the building.
"Close the portal please, I’m going to make sure all of the Patrons forget what they just saw." Esper winked.
"So that’s been your ability all along. You could have completely erased my memory. Thank you for being kind, Esper." Tyler said in disbelief.
"Thank Seraphim and that good head on your shoulders. Had you not given me good reason to trust you, I absolutely would have erased your memory of my inn but Ash and I go way back. He’s a great phoenix and you’re an amazing human...I can see it in your eyes, all of you. You are all destined for more. Go become great." Esper said with a cheerful smile and his hands folded. He waved, walked into the inn, cleared everyone’s memories and watched Tyler’s portal disappear.
’No need to cause panic in this realm. They’ll just forget seeing Tyler and his wives today.’ Esper thought while he watched them teleport away.
They finally arrived at the Castle where Asura was waiting.
"Come, quickly." She said while gathering them all in the throne room.
Bahamut was waiting. "Where should we begin?"
