Chapter 143: The Duo Finals...

After two weeks of fun and the sun, Tyler and his new wives returned to their apartment for their final event on Monday. Nyxara and Tyler would face Sophie and Amanda. They went back and forth on whether or not it was even worth injuring one another going all out, but they also realized they wouldn’t have many opportunities to go head to head.

Tommy V and EmieStreamz both showed up for the final event and with only a week to go in the tournament, as long as the match took place, Ability Academy would take home the win. They were simply too many points ahead of the other schools for the last few events to matter.

#2 Armitage Academy - 280,000

#3 BloodCrest - 190,000

Sophie and Nyx were competing in the following week’s target event, where each of them would have to hit targets that popped in the air with magic. Some were decoys, some were viewed as "friendly" targets and points would be deduced from hitting these targets.

The PDL had their officials on site for the match and Dean Pritchett already had the names of Tyler and his wives on the trophy. It was sitting out for all to see. There were over 500,000 fans outside in the newly built stadium for the event. Everyone worldwide tuned in as the match started.

"3-2-1 Fight!"

Amanda quickly buffed Sophie as Nyx turned into her assassin form 37. Tyler summoned all of his Eidolons, aside from Ash, while buffing Nyx and teleporting through the air. It was a constant onslaught on Amanda, which was their plan from the beginning. Part of Tyler felt bad, but he knew if they could pick her off, Sophie would essentially be a sitting duck.

"What’s that ship?!" Someone said while looking above.

"I don’t think I’ve ever seen a spacecraft that big... Why are there so many? Who are they and why are they at the tournament?" Tommy V said to his stream while taking his headphones off and using binoculars to get a better view.

"Fuck." Tyler thought as he watched them fly quickly through the sky.

"Everyone stay where you are!" Nyx said while Sophie surrendered to the official, who looked confused.

The ships continued flying past them but within seconds, several large explosions could be heard from the southwest. Amanda immediately covered her face and dropped to her knees.

"That’s where I’m from..." She sobbed as the fleet continued their onslaught of the elven people.

Amanda’s phone buzzed, it was from her father. There was a picture attached with him hugging his mother and the destruction in the background.

"We love you Amanda. Sorry we were so mean to you. Live your life for us..."

Tyler recalled his familiars and set up a barrier with the help of Nyx surrounding all the people. Dean Pritchett was storming down from the control room in a rage.

"Tyler, what the hell are you doing?!" He screamed.

"There’s been an attack on the elves sir. They’re no longer on this planet. It looks like an alien race has come to invade our planet." Tyler said calmly.

"So much for them playing friendly. Didn’t Mom and Dad say they liked to make friends before causing destruction?" Ritsu said in an anxious tone, one Tyler was not accustomed to.

"Calm down Ritsu. If you get worked up, I’ll get worked up. We just need to relax and focus on what we can control. Right now Amanda needs us. It looks like the ships have stopped moving.

Tyler ran to Amanda who was still sobbing uncontrollably on her knees holding her phone to her chest.

"They’re gone... they’re all gone." She screamed in agony. Tyler gave her a big hug and let her sob into his chest.

"I know sweetheart. This is terrible. I’m sorry your people are gone but we have each other. If I didn’t have you and the other ladies, and our friends, I would be just as alone in this world as you are so we need to fight for the ones we love babe. I love you sweetheart I can’t imagine what you’re going through..." Tyler said while hugging her and running his hand through her hair.

"My parents finally told me they loved me... look at this Tyler, it’s terrible." Amanda sobbed while showing Tyler the phone.

The picture revealed the beams coming from the ships and too many smaller ships coming down to count. His heart skipped a beat.

News spread like wildfire. Even Tommy V got word that the entire elven race and capital had been wiped out in a matter of minutes.

"To all my views, I say this with the deepest sincerity. I am so terribly sorry for the loss of loved ones. I don’t want to cause panic and spread false news, but it looks like we are under an invasion from an unknown attacker."

EmieStreamz held a moment of silence for the elves while everyone else stood huddled around in the barrier Tyler and Nyxara put up.

"Dean, you have to put the school on lockdown. No one in or not one out. We need to send the other schools home and end this tournament," Tyler said matter-of-factly.

"Right. Everyone’s safety should be our top priority. Bring your wives with me, let’s go." The Dean commanded.

"Uh, sir?" Tyler asked politely.

"You’re the prince of the vampires Tyler, your word is going to carry a lot of weight. This isn’t going to be an easy decision." The Dean said while Nyx teleported the others to them.

"Aren’t you going to make a formal announcement or something?" Nyx asked. Look at Amanda, all of her people were killed within seconds. There are plenty of elves that go to this school. They have the right to know most of their kind is gone.

Dean Pritchett pulled out his tablet and entered his hologram form.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. This concludes the 99th annual Prestige. To our visiting Academies, we urge you to return home safely and protect your loved ones. An unknown race has attacked our planet and the elven people were their first target. Our school will be on lockdown until we know more. If you do not feel safe traveling home, we will make accommodations. All staff please escort the civilians to safety."

People started sprinting and tripping over one another, shoving each other just to get out as quickly as possible.

Tyler summoned Ash and told him to get everyone in line. The mighty phoenix roared and people looked up at the message etched into the sky.

"Stop fighting amongst yourselves. No one here is in danger. Get home safely."

Tyler grabbed Kass, Nyx grabbed Sophie and Amanda and they teleported to different sides of the arena.

"Charm as many people as you can to get them to safety." Tyler ordered Vivian and Max, who were out and amongst the people quickly.

"Kass, charm them if you have too, we need to get some form of crowd control going here." Tyler said while his friends approached him.

"What do you need us to do bro?" Adam asked.
