Life Game In Other World
Chapter 1909 - 1908: [The Dead]
A twisted and terrifying power outlined itself between heaven and earth, as if the rules of the entire world were bowing beneath the massive giant.
He Ao felt his entire body rapidly stiffen, twist, as though the weight of the entire world pressed upon his shoulders, forcing him to bow, to kneel.
Crack—
Under the intense rule of this force, his body, constructed entirely of power, showed clear cracks.
His movements became increasingly difficult, and the speed of his body slowed more and more.
Yet his actions did not halt; he still raised his head, gazing at Sulan.
Stepping forward.
Sulan watched that gaze, the smile on his face gradually stiffening.
He had seen this gaze long ago, on that burning altar, in the eyes of that slave at the center of the altar.
No fear or retreat, only absolute hatred and anger.
A gaze that defies a monarch.
This unbearable memory surged into Sulan’s mind, rushed to his soul, causing his body to tremble, instantly relieving the oppressive rules around him.
He Ao’s figure instantly appeared before him, the pitch-black blade held high, growing hundreds of meters in an instant.
One sword strike.
The dazzling sword light instantly severed the flames on Sulan’s body surface, severing his body, splitting his massive husk in half.
One by one, the Netherworld creatures enveloped in flames rapidly collapsed, scattering into a spreading blaze.
He Ao withdrew his hand, the black longsword quickly retracting, transforming into its original shape.
Naturally, Sulan could not control his power poorly enough to show such a clear flaw.
But a ’Memory Inheritor’ is an expert in memory, and the power contained in the Coffin of Time is an adept at manipulating cognition.
With these two powers combined, even though He Ao cannot read Sulan’s memory, he can directly amplify the cognitive concepts Sulan least wants to recall, forcing him to remember unwanted memories, thereby forming a flaw in his thinking.
"The Tyrant Talent Sequences do not suit you," He Ao lowered his head, gazing at the bifurcated Sulan, "A person who is a lapdog can never be a true monarch, let alone a tyrant."
He raised his hand, attempting to tear open the void, to leave this interstitial space.
It was at this moment that a surge of flames suddenly lit up, appearing by his side.
"Denos, do you qualify to judge my Talent Sequences?"
The corpse lying on the ground suddenly stood up, the neatly sliced wound wrapped in intense flames, rapidly healing.
"You want to kill me?" Sulan lowered his head to gaze at He Ao, a slightly mocking smile on his face, "Do you not know? Death is the Authority of my master. How can you kill my master’s servant under the cover of Netherworld power? Don’t you think you’re being somewhat naive?"
He raised his hand, new Netherworld creatures crawled out from the earth, wrapped in surging flames, growing into massive giants in the blink of an eye.
He gazed down at He Ao, "That slave truly is the hatred of my lifetime, but when he killed me, I killed him as well. The final conclusion was,"
He smiled faintly, "He really died, and I returned from death."
He looked at He Ao, shaking his head slightly, "You know, you disappoint me greatly. I deliberately left you a gap for performance, yet all you showed was this little power. Your kind of strength utterly fails to live up to my lord’s regard for you."
He sighed lightly, "My lord is still too cautious."
Meanwhile, He Ao simply gazed at him calmly, chuckling softly, "Is that so?"
The moment his words fell, this interstitial space trembled violently.
Sulan raised his head, looking at the sky, where above the firmament, the inverted huge Kovotra Ruins were now enveloped in surging red radiance, a violent explosion ignited on those ruins, tearing open numerous cracks.
The originally carved purple radiance on the ruins flickered intensely, and in the sky above, Vissen, the Netherworld in the mist, and the War God’s Tomb covered in fog all flickered intensely at this moment.
Accompanied by the collapse of Kovotra Ruins’ ritual base, this summoning ritual too began collapsing at a speed visible to the meat eyes.
"What did you do?" Sulan lowered his head, looking at He Ao with fear, "You clearly didn’t touch the Kovotra Ruins, how did you do it?"
"Some things don’t require contact, right?" He Ao looked at Sulan, smiling.
"Was it the summoning ritual? Did you project your power over there?" Sulan murmured to himself, "But where did you get a Ritual Holder···"
Quickly, he thought of something, raised his head, looking at the Kovotra Ruins covered in cracks above, gazing at the protrusion on those ruins, "Was it those ’security personnel’ excavating the ruins? Impossible, how could it be, you just relied on those mortals?"
There were people inside the Kovotra Ruins, and He Ao had seen them; they were the security personnel sent to excavate the ruins.
They were not in Vissen, so they were unaffected by the Sacrifice ritual, meaning they were awake now, and Sulan didn’t care about them, thinking they were just a few mortals, who would eventually become insane monsters when placed in the Array.
But these people instead could be ’influenced’ by He Ao.
When Geslo and He Ao entered the ruins, they had already established a minor mystical connection with He Ao.
However, they had no recognition of He Ao, so He Ao couldn’t directly influence them through Super Memory.
Therefore, He Ao needed to approach Kovotra. If Sulan didn’t obstruct him, he could smoothly enter Kovotra Ruins.
If Sulan blocked him, he could also strengthen his weak mystical connection with those security personnel up close, using this to modify their cognition and memory with Super Memory and the power of the Coffin of Time.
In the moments when He Ao and Sulan were confronting in this interstitial space, those security personnel were engraving the Array directed towards He Ao, summoning the power projection of He Ao.
Of course, just a simple projection, He Ao couldn’t blow up the Kovotra Ruins covered with the Death God Power.
So he directly used the projection as a base, drew a symbol directed towards Nell, performed a secondary summoning, and summoned the War God’s power over.
He Ao’s projection couldn’t bear the War God’s Power, so this transferred power directly became a big bomb, exploding in the Kovotra Ruins.
This Divine Power explosion directly destroyed the foundational Array of Kovotra, as the Death God power left wasn’t substantial.
Of course, there’s a loophole here, that is his summoning of the War God’s power would create a large commotion, hard to hide from Sulan’s perception.
So during that time, he directly ’killed’ Sulan.
Even though Sulan revived, he would miss the perception of that period, overlooking the commotion caused by He Ao.
Just like it had slid past a blind spot in sight.
And as the explosion continued, Sulan seemed to refocus his perception on the Kovotra Ruins, gradually understanding He Ao’s actions.
He lifted his head to gaze at He Ao, "Denos, I admit you are indeed good at scheming."
His body retreated in an instant, glancing at He Ao with hatred, "But the will of the Divine Being does not rest."
He Ao’s expression slightly changed.
The sudden change in Sulan’s attitude was obviously not from natural introspection but rather from receiving some additional ’instructions.’
But before he could react, Sulan’s entire body vanished in an instant.
He Ao raised his head, looking upwards.
Above the shattered Kovotra Ruins, a Crimson Giant suddenly materialized.
The skeletons and undead on the ground, losing their power support, were crumbling at a visible speed.
He Ao hesitated not at all, directly soaring skywards, piercing through the sky almost instantly and leaving this Interstitial Space, as no one obstructed him.
Some Cerberus tried to stop him, but before they could take flight, they were quickly entangled by their own kind.
In a flash, He Ao appeared in the shattered void outside, lifting his gaze towards the continuously rotating Kovotra Ruins in the void.
At this moment, the ruins had completely shattered, the entire Array was on the verge of collapse, yet the summoning ritual that precipitated everything had not disappeared.
The smoke from the Netherworld still covered the Firmament above, and after slight trembling, the War God’s Tomb resumed its slow descent, while the dense smoke covering the entire tomb continued to wriggle violently.
He Ao directed his gaze towards the Kovotra Ruins below, his entire body drawing near the ruins.
Sulan had now fallen within the ruins of Kovotra, surging purple radiance emanating from his body, with a horrifying vast aura rising from the ground.
A terrifying existence was using Sulan’s body as a vessel to descend into this world.
Above Sulan’s head, a new fissure ripped open, revealing an eye in the mist.
The eye within the fissure slowly converged and naturally fell upon He Ao.
In that instant, He Ao felt his heart cease to beat, and his powers seemed frozen in place as if iced over.
He Ao stared at that eye in the mist.
The Grim Reaper had descended at this moment.
Old Geezer, unable to outplay and personally stepping in.
In the instant He Ao’s thoughts surfaced, he felt his mind also momentarily stagnate.
The eye in the mist seemed to hear his inner voice or guessed his thoughts from his gaze.
A terrifying aura stabbed into his flesh like a sharp spike, piercing into his body, penetrating into his soul.
Fierce pollution exploded within his soul.
He made no move, but he could no longer make any move.
Still a petty tyrant.
The terrifying pressure and the distorted power instantaneously sealed off He Ao’s body and power.
This was not something a normal projection of the Divine Being could achieve; the Grim Reaper was descending more of his power into this area.
"Denos," the entire body of Sulan, laying in the Kovotra Ruins and restricted by the purple radiance, raised his head and shouted excitedly at He Ao, "Under this great power, we are all but ants; the end of defying a Divine Being is only a road to death!!! I can’t wait to watch you die!"
"Sulan," He Ao lowered his head, looking down at Sulan, seemingly ignoring the eyeball suspended in the mist, speaking slowly, accompanied by a hint of sharpness, as if wrestling with an invisible force, "I told you, you don’t suit the ’Tyrant’ from the Talent Sequences, a lapdog cannot be a tyrant; I can recognize you, you’re a qualified lapdog."
"Denos, what are you talking about! You don’t know the benefits of following a Divine Being—" Hearing this, Sulan suddenly grew enraged, and the purple radiance enveloping his body started to surge violently.
At this moment, the mist surrounding the eye above him trembled slightly.
The eye made no movement, but all of Sulan’s actions were paused, his entire body was suddenly suppressed, and the purple radiance on him stabilized.
He seemed unable to speak, only able to raise his eyes, staring angrily at He Ao.
And He Ao merely gazed at him calmly, smiling, "Such is the fate of a lapdog."
Sulan struggled with fury, his mouth opening and closing, seemingly mocking He Ao’s ’weakness.’
But at this moment, He Ao had already lifted his gaze, confronting that eye in the mist.
Endless pollution exploded in He Ao’s mind, and the power stabbing into his body grew increasingly formidable and terrifying with this confrontation.
It is forbidden to gaze upon a God.
The Divine Power continued to pour into this area ceaselessly.
He Ao felt a swell of pain in his eye sockets, his eyes enduring an insurmountable pressure, as if at any moment, they might burst outright.
Yet he did not avert his gaze, instead calmly staring at that eye, hoarsely saying, "Sulan, when will you realize that to the Divine Being, we are all just pieces on the chessboard; the life and death, glory and disgrace, flattery and toadying of the pieces are of no consequence to the player."
At the moment his words fell, a terrifying might pierced through the void.
In the sky overlaid with Netherworld mist, once again, a massive rift opened in space-time.
The world’s foundation trembled and rippled, reflecting an expansive, boundless world upon the Firmament, mirrored in this space filled with fractured regions.
In that world was a vast continent, with flowers and cities naturally spreading across it.
Countless lights and shadows circulated in the world, ultimately converging upon a hazy area at the world’s center.
He Ao continued to gaze at the eye, speaking calmly, "The only thing a piece can influence the player with is fear, fear that can destroy the entire chess game."
The mist and the trembling Array in the sky all paused at this moment.
Endless radiance gathered in the sky, the terrifying might piercing the fractured void.
The eye in the mist finally lifted, gazing upon the sky’s reflection.
The figure at the center of that reflected world, carrying immense might, began to tremble slowly.
