Chapter 2158: Chapter 2158: Mr. Zombie (17)

Chuzheng brought Bei Chi back, with Zhi Kai trotting over: "Boss, want something to eat? I saved some for you..."

"No."

Chuzheng carried Bei Chi into the car, slamming the door shut with a swish.

Zhi Kai: "..."

"Brother Kai, why is the boss’s lips so red?" Xiao Gong lowered his voice: "Did the boss secretly eat something?"

"Huh?"

Zhi Kai hadn’t noticed earlier, but hearing Xiao Gong’s question, he realized that the boss’s lips seemed not only a bit red but also a bit swollen.

The boss might have really secretly eaten something, but...

No, what he imagined was a bit scary.

Zhi Kai thought it was impossible; after all, that’s a zombie, even though he looks good and is clean, he’s still a zombie!

How could the boss be with a zombie...

No, no, no.

It must be his imagination.

Right, he imagined too much, maybe it was just mosquitoes or something?

"Brother Kai, why are you shaking your head?"

"Nothing." Zhi Kai quickly found an excuse to leave the area of the car with Xiao Gong.

Zhi Kai convinced himself it was just his imagination, but the next day, he stumbled upon a scene that was genuinely terrifying for him.

Xiaoyu asked him to get something from the car, assuming Chuzheng had taken Bei Chi out for some air, paid no extra attention, and opened the door to get in.

Who would have thought upon entering, he’d see Bei Chi sitting on Chuzheng, carefully nibbling on her lips.

From Zhi Kai’s angle, it looked like Bei Chi was kissing Chuzheng.

And the boss had one hand resting on the seatback in front, allowing Bei Chi to lean steadily, while the other hand wrapped around his waist, looking expressionlessly at the void.

Zhi Kai inexplicably felt the boss seemed a bit resigned... yet a little indulgent.

Zhi Kai’s brain forgot to function and just froze in place.

Chuzheng, on the other hand, remained calm, pulling Bei Chi away, hugging him in, and directing her gaze at him: "Need anything?"

Zhi Kai stammered: "Just... just getting something."

Zhi Kai quickly rummaged through the box in the back for what he needed, then dashed out of the car.

Upon closing the car door, Zhi Kai hesitated.

"Bo... boss... won’t this cause infection?"

Being scratched or bitten by zombies could lead to infection, but... no one has ever done this, so it’s really unknown.

"Don’t know."

"Then you..."

"What?"

"No-nothing."

-

Zhi Kai secretly observed Chuzheng over the following days, realizing she didn’t show any changes, thus feeling slightly relieved.

Seems like this won’t cause infection.

Bei Chi got used to their presence, and now he wouldn’t attack them even if not bound.

Of course, the premise is not to provoke him.

Zhi Kai wandered around Bei Chi for several days, and perhaps Bei Chi felt the human was sneaky, definitely with bad intentions, therefore...

"Bei Chi!! Brother Kai!"

"Bei Chi, don’t bite!"

Terrified screams erupted within the temporary camp.

Chuzheng heard the commotion and came out of the car to find Bei Chi pinning Zhi Kai to the ground, growling low in his throat, attempting to bite Zhi Kai.

Chuzheng walked over and pulled Bei Chi away.

Zhi Kai scrambled up using both hands and feet, assisted by Zhao Yingjun and the others.

Bei Chi was somewhat irritable, growled twice at Chuzheng, but she didn’t indulge his tantrum, directly slapped him.

Having a reason to bite people!

You can hit him, but you can’t just bite people, can you?

Do you think everyone is like me? Letting you bite at will?

Bei Chi was hit and felt wronged, gave a small ’huh huh’, hung his head low, and calmed down.

"Get in." Chuzheng pointed to the car.

Bei Chi grumpily got into the car while Chuzheng turned to look at the frightened Zhi Kai.

"What are you doing?"

"Didn’t... didn’t do anything." Zhi Kai was innocent too: "I did nothing, he... he suddenly attacked me."

Zhi Kai felt wronged as well.

"If you weren’t doing anything, why wander around him?" Chuzheng irritatedly: "Didn’t I warn you not to get too close to him?"

"..."

Zhi Kai knew he had a fault, so didn’t dare speak up.

-

Chuzheng got into the car, glanced around, and didn’t see Bei Chi.

She instinctively looked at the windows, all closed... where did he go?

Chuzheng found him in the last row, squatting in the seat gap, putting on an act as a bullied little pity.

Upon hearing footsteps, the little pity even squeezed further inwards.

"I told you not to bite people, why don’t you listen?"

Bei Chi: "..." He was sneaky on his own, how am I at fault too?

Bei Chi turned his head away, not looking at Chuzheng.

Mr. Zombie believed he wasn’t wrong, but due to his lack of articulate speech, could only protest in such manner.

Chuzheng sat behind, naturally blocking him in. Bei Chi turned his entire body around, facing outward, back facing Chuzheng.

Chuzheng tugged at his collar, pulling him up.

"Huh!" You’re annoying!

"Why are you fierce?" Chuzheng roughly pushed him back into the seat.

"..."

"Come here."

Bei Chi glared at her with his hazy eyes, like demanding what exactly she’s up to.

The past period witnessed Bei Chi’s emotions becoming more apparent, now showing emotion displays like anger and irritation, albeit feeble, but as time goes on, his emotions are expected to increase.

"Hug for a bit."

Bei Chi tilted his head, seemingly puzzled by what Chuzheng said or felt her action was inappropriate.

He didn’t move.

"Hurry." Chuzheng urged: "Or I’ll hit you."

"..."

Bei Chi understood the word ’hit’, his nose slightly twitched and he moved towards Chuzheng.

The girl’s body was Soft and Tender, completely unlike his cold, somewhat stiff body.

Bei Chi wasn’t sure what this feeling was, nonetheless, he found it... quite comfortable.

When Bei Chi felt comfortable, he would take over, so the once resistant Mr. Zombie now behaved actively.

Chuzheng patted his head: "No biting next time."

"Huh huh."

Didn’t even bite, is it necessary to say it so many times?

If that person wasn’t bouncing before him, he wouldn’t want to tear it apart, is that his fault?

Fast thoughts were happening in Bei Chi’s little head, no apparent purpose but phrases kept surfacing.

Sometimes he couldn’t figure things out; yet zombies think little, so if he couldn’t figure it, he simply didn’t dwell.

-

After what Bei Chi pulled, Zhi Kai and the others were scared again, daring not to get close to Chuzheng’s car casually.

But someone needed to drive for Chuzheng, so...

A group outside drew lots, besides Xiaoyu and Xiao Gong, the other three took turns driving for Chuzheng.

Every drive came with anxiety, afraid Mr. Zombie would suddenly leap from the back and bite them.

Fortunately, in the following times, Mr. Zombie behaved well without causing any trouble.

However, the intimacy between Chuzheng and Bei Chi became more apparent, not only seen by Zhi Kai but by others too.

The group seized the chance when Chuzheng and Bei Chi went out for air, gathered together to discuss.

"...What does this even count as?"

"Well... actually Bei Chi is very handsome." Xiaoyu looking only at the face.

"But he’s a zombie."

"What’s wrong with a zombie, except for a skin tone difference, does Bei Chi even resemble a zombie?"

"..."

Cannot refute.

Even being a zombie, the appearance is top-tier.
