Chapter 2150: Chapter 2150: Mr. Zombie (9)

The man struggled for a long time and finally found a tire. He huffed and puffed as he changed Chuzheng’s car tire and cleaned up the things on the road.

He stood in front of Chuzheng with a smile on his face, nodding and bowing.

Chuzheng asked Zhao Yingjun to try if the car would start, and there were no issues with it starting.

Chuzheng glanced at those people, not intending to do anything, and got into the car.

The car started and slowly passed by them.

The man let out a slow breath of relief, thank goodness...

In the man’s line of sight, the car suddenly stopped, and Chuzheng’s face appeared again.

The man’s knees almost gave out, and he nearly knelt down to her.

He was wrong, he was wrong, isn’t that enough?

"Take off your clothes." The girl’s voice from the car issued a clear instruction.

"Huh?"

What did she just say?

"Take off your clothes," Chuzheng repeated expressionlessly, with no fluctuation in her tone.

"..."

Why!!

The man didn’t dare to ask, quickly taking off his clothes, and Chuzheng’s gaze fell on his pants.

Man: "!!!"

I prefer death to dishonor! Fine, I’ll do it!

A few minutes later, the car sped away, leaving a few people standing on the roadside wearing nothing but their underwear.

In front of them lay some glittering gold bars.

"..."

What kind of freaks are they?

-

Chuzheng didn’t want to be a freak either, but King’s Account insisted on making her one. What could she do?

[...] King’s Account felt terribly wronged. It clearly provided an opportunity for her to act like a boss, how did it force her into being a freak?

It refuses to take the blame for this!

The people in the car like Zhi Kai also found Chuzheng’s behavior a bit... inexplicable.

At first meeting, she was binding a zombie, and now she even keeps a pet zombie... Let it go, the more you think about it, the more terrifying it gets.

-

Nowadays in the city, those who could escape have long gone, those who couldn’t have become zombie companions, and the rest are barely surviving like this group with Zhi Kai.

On the road, they encountered some survivors, but most were like those who blocked the road and robbed them, all harboring no good intentions.

There were even some fiercer ones who directly brought zombies to chase them, but ended up getting caught themselves.

Through these experiences, Zhi Kai and the others know that Chuzheng must not be offended.

As long as you don’t provoke her, she usually ignores you. She might even give you a few gold bars...

Though they don’t understand what use these things have, so heavy and can’t fill your belly.

Where does the boss stash all that gold? Doesn’t she find it heavy?

-

In the apocalypse, the most scarce resources are food and water. The water nowadays is polluted and undrinkable, finding safe and usable water will become increasingly difficult.

On the highway, a long line of vehicles is parked, many people stand outside their cars, each looking exhausted and haggard.

"I’m so thirsty."

"I’m thirsty and hungry."

"I heard there’s a water plant ahead that hasn’t been polluted."

"Really?"

"I heard it from someone in front, not sure if it’s true."

"This is mine, why are you snatching it! Have some shame, let go, I said let go, didn’t you hear!!"

"Ah ah!"

The already irritable crowd, under such circumstances, seemed even more anxious, like there was smoke coming out of their throats.

Amidst the noise, a car slowly pulled up at the end of the line.

Everyone was watching the commotion, nobody noticed.

Zhao Yingjun leaned halfway out of the passenger seat to look around, but in the end, couldn’t see clearly, so he got off to have a look up front.

"Boss, there are quite a lot of survivors here." Zhi Kai turned around to talk to Chuzheng.

Chuzheng was flipping through a book she found who knows where titled "Scientific Development," next to her was the pet zombie, staring at her without blinking.

Its cloudy, vacant eyes giving off an extremely eerie vibe.

"So what?"

"..." Nothing in particular, just making an observation to start some conversation.

But evidently, the boss didn’t really want to chat.

Zhi Kai exchanged glances with the three people in the backseat, then turned to face forward.

Xiaoyu nestled next to her boyfriend chatting, while Xiao Gong was playing with a slingshot, none of them seemed very scared anymore.

Zhao Yingjun returned after a while: "There’s a water plant ahead, so we’ve stopped here for now. No idea when we’ll be able to move."

The entire area only had this one road getting here; going back takes a while, so to move on, the people in front have to clear off.

"Why don’t we wait too? We’re short on water." Ah Yi said, "Besides, we’ve been seated for so long, Xiaoyu wants to stretch her legs."

From morning till night, their bodies were getting stiff, needing some movement.

Chuzheng didn’t really react, if she didn’t object it generally meant agreement.

Everyone gradually got out of the car. After letting them down, Chuzheng returned to the car and continued reading.

"Grr!!"

The zombie pet was notably unhappy, its head turning left and right, seemingly catching a scent it wanted to taste.

"Quiet down," Chuzheng warned it, "otherwise, if someone pops your head, don’t blame me."

"Grr!!"

"..." Didn’t understand.

Forget it, let’s pretend we didn’t hear.

Bei Chi grunted for ages, not achieving anything, then started scratching the seat with its nails, the sound was quite unpleasant.

Chuzheng: "..."

Chuzheng couldn’t find anything to block her ears, so she decided to tackle the root of the problem.

"What do you want to do?"

"Grr!!"

Bei Chi roared arrogantly, though its voice was somewhat muffled as its mouth was stuffed with a cloth.

Chuzheng shut her book with a snap: "Cut your nails!"

Bei Chi: "???"

Chuzheng pulled out one of its hands, and started trimming its nails. Possibly due to the virus, its nails grew extraordinarily fast.

Chuzheng snipped away quickly, smoothing out the sharp long nails.

Once she finished trimming both hands, she tied it up again.

"Grr!!"

"Hungry?" Chuzheng guessed randomly, as her eyes glanced his way a little: "You’ve not eaten for so long without any problem, what are you hungry for?"

Zombies are very aggressive, but they hardly eat. Much like animals, they tear their prey apart over and over... Maybe they find it fun.

But rarely eating doesn’t mean they don’t eat.

Whether zombies can starve to death... Chuzheng thought maybe she could experiment.

Chuzheng’s wicked gaze fixed on Bei Chi.

Anyway... he wouldn’t know!

[Miss, I advise you to act human.] King’s Account couldn’t hold back anymore.

"..." Is thinking about it a crime too?

[...]

Who knows if you’ll actually do it!

Chuzheng waved her arm in front of Bei Chi: "Want a bite?"

"Grr!!"

Chuzheng noticed Bei Chi’s vacant, cloudy eyes light up a bit upon seeing her arm, visibly wanting a bite.

Chuzheng slapped him on the head and fiercely said: "You dare to try biting!"

"..."

The little pet seemed very aggrieved.
