Legacy of the Dark Sage

Chapter 330 Domain

Zephyr looked at Kyran quizically.

Before he could ask further, Kyran said, “We’ll go there too. In the future, that place will serve as our meeting place. I’ll give each one of you access there.”

When Kyran said this, Zephyr’s expression instantly turned grim. He said, “C-Can I just wait for you guys to return—.”

“No,” Kyran interrupted as he turned to look at him in amusement. It had been a few years since he had last threatened Zephyr in using his warp ability and still found it amusing.

Thinking of this, Kyran decided not to tell Zephyr that he could now warp others without causing them to feel nauseated. He wanted to ‘surprise’ him.𝒐𝑣𝗅xt.𝓒𝑂𝓂

Zephyr’s complexion paled as Kyran rejected his plea without even batting an eye, “M-Master…”

He sometimes wondered whether Kyran was a good master or evil.

No, not evil, but a big bully!

Kyran ignored Zephyr’s plea and continued, “There’s another person I want all of you to meet.”

As he said this, he took out a dark purple communication disc which was similar to the one he gave Byron a few years back— a couple of weeks ago in real-time.

“You mean the first one?” Zephyr said. He was not really asking because he knew he was right. His worry about experiencing Kyran’s ‘warping’ was immediately replaced with anticipation as he thought of finally meeting the first Sigil.

Zephyr already knew there was someone before him and that Kyran met with that person when he and Nolan left a couple of weeks ago.

Once he had asked what kind of person Kyran’s first Sigil was, but the latter only gave him a blank expression and refused to say anything. After that, Zephyr did not ask again. Besides, Kyran would eventually introduce him when the time was right.

It seemed the right time was today.

“Yes,” Kyran replied.

Without waiting for the two to ask more questions, his eyes turned dark purple as he activated the disc on his hand.

As soon as he let his magic sense enter the disc, Kyran’s expression turned grim.

His expression alarmed Zephyr and Tritus, but before they could say anything, Kyran’s grip on the disc tightened.

Cracks appeared on the disc and were on the verge of being destroyed.

“Master, what happened?” Zephyr and Tritus asked at the same time.

With one brow twitching and the other side of his head full of black lines, Kyran shook his head, “Nothing. I… Give me a minute, I’ll be right back.”

“Master, let me—.”

Before Tritus could finish what he was about to say, Kyran had disappeared in thin air. This caused his eyes to widen in disbelief.

“W-What?” He exclaimed.

Zephyr also gaped in shock. He had not seen Kyran warped without summoning those purple rings.

Now that he thought of it, the ability Kyran had shown when working on the temple’s defensive array was different from when he was working on the cottage’s array. Initially, Zephyr had thought the reason might be because the Array level installed at the cottage and the temple were far apart.

‘His improvement is insane,’ Zephyr thought.

Tritus looked at Zephyr and asked in confusion, “Where did master go? No, more importantly, just now… he did not use any token when he disappeared. How?”

With a slight smile, Zephyr looked at Tritus. Then he said, “It’s better to let master explain it.”

“I understand,” Tritus replied with a slight nod.

Meanwhile, when Kyran left, he appeared at a dark corner of a study room.

Sitting behind the study table that was filled with stacked up documents and scrolls was none other than Byron.

“Argh! Why is the leader letting me deal with this! I thought I’m already off the hook now that all the executives had returned, but no~. I still have to deal with all of these paper works! Just where are they anyway?” Byron ranted as he continued to read a thick book.

On the cover, it showed the words ‘Ledger’ written in gold.

All of a sudden, Byron stood up and tossed the book in the air while screaming,  “AAAAARGH! I’ve had enough! Master! Where are you! I miss you!”

Kyran’s brow twitched.

The last few words Byron had shouted were the same words Kyran had read in the disc. If it had been one coded message it would not have annoyed him, but 47 out of 126 messages all contained the same ‘Where are you, master! I miss you!’ message.

“Why did you suddenly show your handsome face to the public? How will I convince you not to use an ugly disguise now?” Byron continued to rant.

Black lines appeared on Kyran’s head. He had not expected showing Byron Tyr’s face would make him act like this.

Besides, Nar’s face was not that ugly okay?

Nevertheless, all of those things did not matter because whether it was Tyr or Nar, both were not his real face anyway.

Kyran heaved a sigh. His first Sigil was really… an oddball.

When Kyran had sighed, Byron’s immediately went on guard as he turned toward the dark corner of the room to his left.

Light green magic arrays appeared right under Kyran’s feet.

“You dare to— Gwah—!”

Even before Byron could threatened Kyran, the latter had waved his hand and the light green magic array under his feet shattered.

Byron coughed out a mouthful of blood not from the backlash of having his magic array destroyed but because his Sigil activated.

“T-This—!” His mind reeled as he stared at the silhouette slowly walking toward him from the corner.

After walking a few paces, Kyran stopped just close enough for the floor lamp beside the study table to illuminate his features.

Byron gaped at the young man in black clothes with cold eyes before him.

Before Byron could once again make an attempt to attack, the young man suddenly spoke which made immediately made his whole body tremble.

“I only left for a couple of weeks and now you dare to attack?”

Byron’s eyes widened as he immediately recognized his master’s voice! His eyes brightened as he once again realized that the face his master was using was also handsome!

“M-Master!” Byron sprang to his feet and was about to jump Kyran while saying, “Please use that handsome face when I introduced you to my—.”

A huge purple circle appeared vertically between Byron and Kyran, and the moment Byron stepped into the circle, he disappeared within.

Kyran scowled.

“The hell I will use my own face,” he replied and also disappeared.

Just as the purple circle where Byron had slipped into vanished, the door to the study opened and a young woman wearing a blue uniform peered inside.

“Sir Byron? Is everything okay?”

Back at the Shaiha Ruins temple, a huge purple circle appeared above Zephyr and Tritus and a burly man fell.

As soon as the man feel, he vomited things that would cause nightmares to small ones if it was described in details.

Kyran appeared a second after Byron, still wearing a scowl on his face.

Zephyr and Tritus could not help but gape at Byron. Both had different expressions, the former had a sympathetic expression while the latter wore a shocked one.

“Now that he’s here, let’s go to where Max is,” Kyran said, not even bothering to introduce Byron.

Since Zephyr had been with Kyran mostly compared with the other two, he already sensed how annoyed he was and thus did not try to argue. As much as he did not want to be warped and suffered like this burly man again, he could only endure than face Kyran’s wrath when he was clearly pissed off at something.

“W-Wait! M-Master! L-Let me catch my- bleergh..!” Byron vomited once again.

“Now you remember who I am?” Kyran said looking at him piercingly.

Byron swallowed the next bout of things his stomach was about to throw up.

Seeing his action made Zephyr clamp his mouth as his stomach churn.

That was… disgusting.

“I-I did not recognize your new handsome face, M-Master!” Byron said while looking at Kyran.

Kyran only gave him a blank expression and waved his hand.

Byron disappeared again.

Zephyr and Tritus looked at Kyran with a blank expression.

Kyran had been very amiable a while ago and they had almost forgotten how cold and ruthless he could be.

‘Let’s not annoy him,’ the two thought, unknowingly coming into a silent agreement.

“That guy is…” Kyran started but then sighed. Then he shook his head and looked at Zephyr and Tritus, “If you two say anything about how look too, I’ll punish you.”

The two obediently nodded their head, “Yes.” But then shook their head and amended their reply to, “We mean.. we won’t say anything!”

Surprisingly, Zephyr and Tritus were in sync.

“Alright, enough fooling around,” Kyran said. He seriously felt he grew some white hairs whenever he had to deal with Byron. “Let’s go.”

Without waiting for the two to reply, his eyes turned dark purple and they all disappeared from the temple.

When they disappeared, the whole temple also trembled.

If anyone was above the Shaiha Ruins, they would have seen how a semi-transparent purple half-sphere covered the valley where the temple was located.

Everything inside the semi-transparent purple half-sphere blurred, and in a blink of an eye, it disappeared, leaving a huge crater on the ground.

Zephyr tightly closed his eyes as he braced for the nauseating feeling that would come right after getting warped.

However, that feeling never came.

‘This…?’ Zephyr opened his eyes.

What greeted him nearly made his eyes popped out of their sockets!

Before him was a vast green land.

At one side, there were strange looking buildings Zephyr guessed were houses. And on the other side was an enormous field filled with different types of crops.

Then up ahead, was a dark purple tower where rune writings circled its facade. It eminated a rich magic energy which Zephyr realized was none other than the Void.

“Master, this…?”

The one that had spoken was Tritus.

Zephyr turned and saw Kyran looking at them with a slight smile.

“As I said, this place will become our meeting place. Whenever you need to report something, just enter this place and I will know your inside and will appear before you.”

“But this place is not… in the Human plane is it?” Zephyr chimed in.

“No,” Kyran replied. “Because this is my passive domain, ‘Void World’.”
