Chapter 95 Collecting Data [Bonus]
POV RadiantHero:
The man wearing a heavy plate armour bounced up and down as he sat on top of a large white horse covered in layers of chain armour and fabric. His long blue cloak waved in the wind as he galloped through the old unmaintained muddy road, with dirty brown water splashing under his horse’s hooves.
Wooden fences lined the road, marking pastures for the animals, but they were almost empty, with only a few cows and sheep to be seen, even though the land was green and verdant enough to support a large number of animals.
‘What happened here? Maybe some monster attack?’
He kept galloping through the muddy road, soon noticing a farmer in a straw hat and common but clean cloths moving a large carriage loaded up to its brim with wheat.
He pulled the harnesses of his white horse, slowing down to the speed of the carriage.
“Hey, there, a good man. Why are so few animals here? Did some monster kill them?”
The farmer looked at him with his eyes, immediately straightening his back, his eyes turning fearful upon noticing the shiny plate armour worn by the RadiantHero.
“My lord, thieves in masks came here during the night and stole a large number of our cattle. When the guards came, they were already gone.”
‘Is it the same group as that one that kidnapped that girl?’
RadiantHero nodded at him and speeded up his horse once again, quickly galloping towards the nearby town, hearing a quiet murmur of the farmer behind him, “It’s all fault of that baron. He had to provoke that beast…”
‘Nobles provoking dangerous beings is an old story, but it always repeats.’
POV Vesuvius:
The construct, made of shiny metal, looking like chrome, moved at great speed, swishing through the air with its plasma halberd heading towards the dragon’s head, leaving behind a trail of blue plasma.
The metal constructs passed through the air, electricity crackling around its shiny metallic body. The bright blue and gold electrical tendrils moved around its body, with its moves becoming stiff and laggy. However, it still kept moving, closing on the dragon.
The dragon swung his clawed hand, claws crashing against the plasma blade, runes flaring up in bright blue light with dozens of sparks flying in all directions. He kept pushing, his muscles tense, against the construct.
Both of them stood firmly, their legs digging into the ground. Then Vesuvsiu pushed even stronger, his claws pushing the halberd away and sending the construct flying backwards through the air.
It hit the ground, still moving backwards, its heavy metallic body creating a crevice in the ground. The crystal wings on its back suddenly ignited in blue flames, stopping it as it stabilized its tall armoured body. Its arm that was holding the halberd was limply hanging next to its body.

The magitech soldier regained its balance. Screeching noises akin to these made by old dial-up modems came out of its armoured head as it moved its remaining undamaged hand, grabbing the plasma halberd with it.
‘I wonder what the world of magic and technology from where this dungeon came looks like… Anyway, I have now at least estimated their physical stats. Now is the time to test my different elements against it.’
The dragon locked his reptilian eyes with the glowing blue eyes of the construct. Mana poured through his veins as a magical triangular diagram formed in his mind, and his long claws covered with dimly glowing runes ignited in bright golden orange flames blazing around his hand, creating long blades of flames extending around and from his claws.
In a blink of an eye, the dragon moved. Its bulky body, covered in rough-looking volcanic stone, moved nimbly with feline elegance towards the mech. In a few moments, the dragon moved through the distance and swung his burning claws towards the construct.
The construct retaliated, swinging its halberd and locking its plasma blade covered in a force field that was giving it physical resistance with the burning claws. Their impact sent shockwaves and sparks of fire and flames in all directions, brightly flickering in blue and orange light.
Blazing heat radiated out of the flames, causing the grass surrounding the dragon to burn. The mech’s arm holding the halberd quickly turned red from the heat, droplets of molten metal dripping down.
The mech bent its mechanical legs, jumping backwards and quickly retreating from the heat.
The dragon just opened his mouth, looking at the result, causing the magma to drip out of his mouth and burn the ground under him. He didn’t press with his attacks as he dispelled the flames around his claws.
Then the diagram formed again, glowing in blue light as large arcs of electricity started to run along his claws.
‘This should have bigger voltage than that in my smoke. Let’s see if it can pass through its resistance.’
The mech just stood on the spot, unmoving as white vapour leaked out of its body, covering it whole with the red hot metal quickly returning to its original appearance.
Vesuvius ran forwards towards the mech, his heavy steps destroying the grass under him. The mech reacted instantly, bending its metallic legs and with its crystal wings igniting in blue flames as it launched against the dragon like a bullet. It swung its plasma blade halberd in mid-flight. Its plasma blade once again collided with claws sparkling with electricity, sending shockwaves through the plains, causing the grass to move.
The tendrils of lightning passed through the halberd, and electrical arcs struck between the claws and the mech’s body, electricity sparkling all around it.
Its glowing blue eyes flickered, and suddenly its metallic body became limp, bending in its waist with smoke coming out of its body.

‘Both of them are effective… but lightning is definitely much more.’
