Chapter 334 The Sunny Disgrace, Part 1/2 [Bonus]
An ethereal and melodic voice spoke out of the gate of light, sounding like the most gentle and beautiful voice that one could imagine, “Confess to your sins and leave them behind! Join the side of purity and righteousness!” and the next instant swarms of angels with one and two pairs of wings rushed out like a flood wave of light and feathers.
They all flapped their wings, their heavenly weapons of light shining in their armored hands.
The cries of joy and reverence echoed through the collapsing town, “Ohhh, it is their holiness, dominion authority, the most powerful angel! They came to help his draconic holiness!”
‘Time to see what can my new form do!’
The dragon hovering within the haze of dark clouds flapped his wings, and a cloak of lightning and fire enveloped his body as he shot forwards. His eyes shone while the flickering mass of a fire burning within clouds crackling with lightning gathered in his mouth.
Like a cannonball, he shot forwards, leaving behind a fire trail. The shockwave from his sudden acceleration landed right into the white town, houses, and everything else, collapsing in dust clouds.
Hundreds of lights pulsed within the clouds as spears and rays of angelic light shot straight at him. In a split second, they showered his body in light, the small pulses of white looking like stars harmlessly dissipating within the black darkness of his armor.
‘Phh, these low-level angels can’t even scratch me!’
His body passed through the angelic formations, the flames and lightning exploding out of his body, burning and incinerating the angels in droves. His body smashed into angels, his armor crushing and breaking them. Their metallic heavenly armors creaked and caved in like tin cans. The angels splattered in his way, bursting into motes of light like bugs hit by a car.

…
The wyrm flapped their feathery wings, and hundreds upon thousands of small spells circuits inscribed on their wings flashed in the light. The salvos of light feathers shot out, burning in the shiny sunfire like a swarm of rockets.
Vesuvius immediately recognized their identity, ‘This is the method of enchanting used by angels… To think that they let these winged fanatics inscribe on their body…’
The dragon’s aura exploded out, smashing and dissolving the spells circuits on the wyrm’s wings, their sun-like eyes pulsing in shock.
The dragon didn’t even bother to dodge as he closed his eyes and flew straight through the barrages of feathers while the ball of fire and lightning kept growing in his mouth, looking as if he had devoured a cloudy Sun. The feathers exploded all over his body in miniature sun-like explosions, creating dents in his shiny armor, only for them slowly repair as if they never even existed.
He felt the heat wash all over his body.
‘If some casual attacks posed a threat to me then all of my efforts to increase my defenses would be absolutely laughable.’
Vesuvius quickly flew toward the wyrm that flapped its feathery wings in slow-motion. The magic circles danced and spun around their claw made of pure light.
‘Ohhh, their claws are like my horns used to cast magic! That is interesting. Write it down, system!’
The dragon’s aura constantly washed over them, but they only slightly flickered as the wyrm expected it this time, putting much more focus on their casting, its eye shining in pure sunlight.
“Blinding brilliance!” The wyrm’s voice resonated with magic, causing all the light gathering in its claws to brighten up.
The vision of the dragon turned white, his eyes burning and evaporating under the immensely bright light accompanied by the pain. He closed his heavy eyelids, and the pain immediately subsided as his eyes regenerated.
He felt magic pulse by his side and the next second, something crashed into his side, and immense force accompanied by the sun’s heat cracked his armor, the force of the impact reaching all the way to his scales while something drilled through his armor, layer after layer, like a high-powered laser.
He couldn’t see, but his body instinctively moved on its own as perfect moves encoded within his muscles triggered using all his other senses to pinpoint the attacker.
His torso twisted in the opposite direction of the attack, dispersing the kinetic energy while his massive tail, clawed hand, and even his crystalline wing struck in the direction of the attack.
He felt a warm liquid splash on his claws as they struck something and burst into the elemental storm, his aura coating them and increasing their sharpness, cutting through something hard and then soft.
“Graaah!” A growl of pain echoed through the entire sky while more and more spears of light fell upon his body, making it look like a rain of light.
His eyes finally snapped open, seeing the wyrm falling from the sky. Its side was torn apart, the red blood glowing in white light flowing out like a waterfall of blood and light. The injury was massive and deep, revealing the bones and intestines of the wyrm and making Vesuvius realize that he had won.
‘They really had a trick under their sleeve… but they were too overconfident in it and tried to strike from close. And I was afraid that they would pester me with their magic for hours…’ He finally saw how powerful the perks given to him from his battle lord evolution were.
‘I don’t need to even think and my body will strike with the proficiency of a master.’ He knew it was something one could learn only after decades of training, yet he got it with a single evolution.
He threw one last look of ridicule at the wyrm, ‘This is why I refused to go for evasion, high-speed build. Just one mistake was enough to end their life.’
He opened his mouth, and a stream of lightning, fire, pyroclastic cloud, and radioactive particles rushed out, descending down and quickly catching with the falling wyrm.𝑜𝔳𝐋xt.𝑐𝑀
Suddenly a bright and pure light fell upon his back. A huge angel as tall as a statue of liberty flapping its twelve pairs of wings appeared right next to the dying wyrm in the flash of light.
Three pairs of wings were on its back, one on its shoulders, the fourth one in place of its legs, looking almost like a skirt of feathers, and the last one crowning its armored head hidden under the helmet forged of silver and white luminescent metals.
A light barrier expanded from its spinning golden halo, and the dragon’s breath hit straight into it, flowing and burning around it like a tide around a rock.
A light enveloped the falling wyvern, suspending its body in midair while dancing around and closing and regenerating its injuries.
Right under the dragon’s eyes, all his work was undone while more and more angels poured out of the gate. The two-winged, four-winged, six-winged, and even eight-winged angels in their shiny armor of metal and light descended at the dragon. Their weapons of light pointed at him as if they were Polish cavalry galloping down a hill, ready to impale their enemies.
Their light was brightening up with each angel that joined the fray.
The dragon’s aura exploded out, and the tide of fire and lightning crashed with the tsunami of light.
