Konoha: Let's Just Destroy It
Chapter 65: “Orochimaru, Someone Wants to See You”
Silence~!
The students of Class 4-A fell into a stunned silence, and the entire classroom became eerily quiet.
A pair of chopsticks slipped from someone’s hand.
Clack!
It was so quiet that even a pin could be heard dropping.
In disbelief!
Naruto had actually brought Sasuke a lunch box!
And Sasuke had actually accepted it!
He had even said thank you!
Had they heard wrong?
Were they under a genjutsu?
Something must have gone wrong with the way they were eating their lunch!
Some students closed their lunch boxes again, shut their eyes, clasped their hands together, and silently said,
"Let’s eat."
Then they opened their lunch boxes again and quickly glanced toward Naruto’s and Sasuke’s lunches.
They were stunned once again!
The dishes were exactly the same!
The lovestruck girls behind Sasuke were screaming internally.
Sasuke... don’t eat it! It’s poisoned! Eat mine instead!
Some of them even clutched their handkerchiefs in both hands, imagining scenes of Naruto as the dominant one and Sasuke as the submissive one...
They looked utterly heartbroken, yet somehow tearfully supportive.
Meanwhile.
Ino, her face full of question marks, poked Naruto.
"Naruto, when did you and Sasuke get so close?"
Hinata beside her couldn’t help looking at Naruto as well, curiosity filling her timid face.
"Izumi made it. I just happened to bring it over."
Naruto shrugged and quietly explained.
Of course, Uchiha Izumi hadn’t paid any attention to Sasuke.
Naruto had asked her to make it while she was preparing his lunch.
Sasuke was currently at the lowest point of his life.
Naruto had thought about it for a long time.
It would be a shame to give up on such a powerful future asset.
His personality didn’t matter.
It was just a phase of adolescent edginess.
A young master who had grown up surrounded by luxury and had never experienced the hardships of society becoming a little edgy was perfectly normal!
A few good beatings would fix that!
As for whether Sasuke would eventually be affected by the fate of reincarnated chakra and end up fighting Naruto, Naruto wasn’t worried.
The Ashura chakra within his body had already been processed by the system, eliminating all its harmful effects.
It would no longer influence Naruto’s personality, effectively severing the cycle of fate.
The destiny that caused Ashura and Indra to fight generation after generation was mutual.
If the influence was removed from one side, the other side naturally wouldn’t be able to continue the cycle either.
But Naruto still possessed Ashura’s chakra.
Therefore, he would still attract Sasuke, who possessed Indra’s chakra.
That wasn’t a harmful factor.
It was simply the natural sense of closeness between descendants of the Sage of Six Paths.
Of course, this wouldn’t affect Naruto.
But it would affect Sasuke.
Without the influence of their destined rivalry, it was equivalent to removing the conflict aura while leaving behind the attraction aura.
A future powerhouse who would come running over on his own no matter what Naruto did.
Why would Naruto refuse?
Meanwhile.
At an orchard somewhere in Konoha.
Uchiha Izumi had accepted a D-rank mission to pick fruit.
In just a few hours, she had finished harvesting the entire orchard, which covered nearly ten acres.
After the enthusiastic old farmer had signed the mission scroll to confirm its completion, she invited Izumi to stay for lunch.
"Izumi, thank you for helping today. Why don’t you stay here for lunch?"
"I still need to hurry back and turn in the mission, so I won’t trouble you."
After taking the mission scroll, Izumi politely declined and left.
"I’m being watched?"
"The Third Hokage already withdrew the ANBU following me. So who is it?"
Could it be...
Remembering Naruto’s words, Uchiha Izumi initially headed toward the village.
But after leaving the old farmer’s line of sight, she quickly changed direction.
She ran all the way to the Forest of Death.
Once she arrived, Uchiha Izumi suddenly turned around, kunai in hand.
"Come out!"
Somewhere behind her.
A pale, cold-looking figure with a sinister expression and dangling earrings stepped out from behind a tree.
"How interesting. How did you discover me?"
The newcomer licked his lips, his snake-like pupils filled with interest.
The moment Uchiha Izumi suddenly changed direction, he knew he had been discovered.
But he hadn’t immediately attacked.
Uchiha Izumi was one of his potential targets.
She was merely prey that he could capture at any time.
He didn’t mind taking the time to examine her carefully and see whether she was suitable as a vessel for himself.
Of course, deep down, he was more interested in Sasuke.
Sasuke’s bloodline was purer.
Uchiha Izumi was only of mixed blood.
But as research material, there was no such thing as having too much.
Uchiha Izumi frowned slightly.
"If I couldn’t even notice someone staring at me with such an undisguised, venomous gaze, wouldn’t that be underestimating me, Lord Orochimaru?"
After hearing Naruto’s description and seeing the person standing before her, Uchiha Izumi had already confirmed his identity.
Orochimaru!
"Since you know who I am, yet deliberately lured me here alone, what exactly are you relying on?"
Underestimating her?
No.
Was a mere Konoha genin really worthy of Orochimaru’s attention?
Even if intelligence reports stated that she had awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan?
Even a Three-Tomoe Uchiha wasn’t enough to make Orochimaru take them seriously.
One hand would be enough.
Someone who had received no proper guidance and wasn’t considered important—how much of the Sharingan’s power could she possibly bring out?
But now, Orochimaru felt that he had slightly underestimated Uchiha Izumi.
An ordinary genin couldn’t have discovered him.
And an ordinary genin shouldn’t have known his identity.
But it was only a slight miscalculation.
Izumi smiled.
"Then what about you, Lord Orochimaru? As a missing-nin of Konoha, what gives you the confidence to swagger back into Konoha like this?"
Orochimaru’s expression froze.
He had just been looked down upon by a Konoha genin!
Were all Uchiha this arrogant?
Most people trembled in fear simply upon hearing the name Orochimaru.
It had been a long time since he had encountered such a bold and interesting little brat.
The interest in his eyes grew even stronger.
He said nothing more.
Orochimaru suddenly rushed toward Uchiha Izumi, his right hand shooting forward.
"Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
Several giant snakes with viciously gaping mouths shot out from his sleeve!
A thick, foul stench filled the air, causing Uchiha Izumi to furrow her brows.
The kunai in her right hand swiftly swept through the air, flashing several cold rays.
Shhk!
Several columns of blood sprayed into the air!
Orochimaru failed to capture her.
Uchiha Izumi felt a wave of disgust rise in her heart and quickly retreated.
Orochimaru’s confident expression froze.
"Was there really such a hurry to attack? Couldn’t we continue talking, Lord Orochimaru?"
Uchiha Izumi landed more than ten meters away and looked at Orochimaru with a smile.
He hadn’t managed to take down an ordinary genin!
At the same time, she pulled out a trident-shaped Flying Thunder God kunai and infused it with chakra.
She had no intention of engaging Orochimaru in a prolonged fight.
She hadn’t forgotten Naruto’s instructions.
If she accidentally scared Orochimaru away, that would be troublesome.
"Oh? Then does Izumi-san have something she wishes to discuss with me?"
The attack just now had merely been a test, and Orochimaru didn’t attack again.
But he had to admit that he had still underestimated Uchiha Izumi.
A genin couldn’t have blocked his Hidden Shadow Snake Hands so easily.
Nor could an ordinary genin have killed his summoned snakes with such ease using nothing but a kunai.
"Not me. But someone wants to see you."
Uchiha Izumi playfully shook the kunai in her hand.
The trident-shaped Flying Thunder God kunai was Naruto’s little quirk.
Hearing this, Orochimaru casually glanced at the kunai in her hand.
His pupils suddenly contracted.
Then his eyes narrowed.
He hadn’t seen it wrong!
He narrowed his eyes again.
There was no mistake.
It was the Flying Thunder God kunai of Minato Namikaze!
Orochimaru licked his lips.
Things had suddenly become much more interesting.
