Chapter 62: Uchiha Izumi’s Resolve

Hearing Naruto’s question, and then looking at the Mangekyō Sharingan in his hand, Uchiha Izumi finally realized what he meant.

Yet she still couldn’t help falling into a daze.

In other words, as long as Naruto was willing, he could help every Mangekyō Sharingan evolve into an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan!

And after reaching the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, what if they died once more?

Wouldn’t Naruto have another pair of Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan?

Uchiha Izumi’s imagination really was something else.

Even Naruto hadn’t thought of that, yet she had!

Seeing that Izumi remained silent, Naruto teased her,

"What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you’re afraid of the pain?"

Izumi rolled her eyes and asked in return,

"You’ll do it?"

Naruto immediately shook his head.

"No. You have to do it yourself."

At the same time, he was thinking about whether there was some painless way to let her die.

There was only one reason.

He couldn’t bear to do it himself.

Uchiha Izumi had already awakened her Mangekyō Sharingan, so she directly activated her eyes.

Her thoughts were very simple.

Naruto had already gouged out one of his own eyes just to test whether this was possible. He would even have to do it once more later.

Naruto was only eight years old, yet he was willing to silently endure the pain of gouging out his own eye just to help her.

So what was there for her to fear about dying once?

Without the slightest hesitation, Uchiha Izumi pulled out a kunai and swiftly plunged it into her heart!

Naruto froze when he saw this, then his eyes widened.

His veins bulging on his forehead, his scarlet Mangekyō Sharingan fully revealed, Naruto stared at Izumi.

In her weakened state, Uchiha Izumi smiled and reached out to touch his face.

"Naruto, why are you making that face? Don’t tell me you’re about to cry?"

Naruto pulled Uchiha Izumi into his arms and gave a bitter smile as he shook his head.

"You scared me."

As he spoke, he gently stroked her back, trying to distract her and ease some of her pain.

She didn’t answer.

Leaning against Naruto, Uchiha Izumi’s eyes gradually lost focus, and her consciousness was about to fade.

Naruto kept repeating silently in his heart,

"Analyze, analyze, analyze..."

Finally—

Ding! Analysis of Uchiha Izumi successful. Obtained Uchiha bloodline, Fire, Water, Lightning, and Yin Release attributes, and all ninjutsu possessed by the Uchiha before their bloodline evolved.

Naruto silently said again,

"Switch specifically to Uchiha Izumi’s Mangekyō Sharingan."

Ding! Switching successful!

As soon as the system notification sounded, Naruto quickly gouged out both of his eyes.

After witnessing what Uchiha Izumi had just done, Naruto had already figured everything out.

It was painful.

Even though he knew nothing would go wrong, seeing someone close to him hurt still made his heart ache uncontrollably.

Looking at the two pairs of Mangekyō Sharingan in his hands, Naruto silently said,

"Switch back to my eyes, then fuse Uchiha Fugaku’s Mangekyō Sharingan."

Ding! Switching and fusion successful.

The ocular power in both of Naruto’s eyes surged dramatically, but he paid no attention to it.

His attention remained completely focused on Uchiha Izumi in his arms.

A short while later, Uchiha Izumi began breathing again.

She didn’t recover anywhere else. She remained nestled in Naruto’s arms, listening to his thump, thump heartbeat.

Suddenly, Izumi let out a soft laugh.

She lightly poked Naruto’s chest with her finger.

"Naruto, your heart is beating really fast!"

How could it not be fast?

He had been worried sick!

Inside the sealing space, Minato Namikaze shook his head.

He really couldn’t bear to watch this.

Were young people these days really this shameless when they fell in love?

Even an old man’s heart couldn’t take it!

Although he didn’t even have a heart anymore...

Outside, Naruto began examining Uchiha Izumi’s injuries.

Izumi simply smiled and allowed him to examine her from head to toe.

That single act of stabbing herself in the heart seemed to have broken through the invisible barrier between the two of them.

It made them both understand the place they held in each other’s hearts, as well as their own place in the other’s heart.

It also caused the subtle relationship between them to undergo a change.

After confirming that there were no problems, Naruto finally let out a complete sigh of relief.

Seeing this, the smile on Uchiha Izumi’s face grew even wider.

Naruto took out a pair of Mangekyō Sharingan.

"All right. Lie down. I’ll help you fuse them."

Naruto knew a little about Medical Ninjutsu as well.

Of course, fusing the eyes didn’t actually require Medical Ninjutsu.

They only needed to be placed into the other person’s eye and absorbed.

The only problem was that after being absorbed, they needed time to slowly develop into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Naruto’s own eyes had been fused with the system’s assistance, allowing him to complete the fusion immediately.

But Uchiha Izumi’s could only develop gradually.

Uchiha Izumi obediently lay down on the bed before asking mischievously,

"It won’t hurt, right?"

Where had all that decisiveness from earlier gone?

Naruto shook his head.

"Don’t worry. It won’t hurt too much."

Izumi continued asking,

"Then what do I need to do?"

Naruto answered,

"Just open your Mangekyō Sharingan."

Since her Mangekyō Sharingan was already active, Uchiha Izumi said nothing more.

Naruto brought the pair of Mangekyō Sharingan in his hands toward Izumi’s eyes.

Then, slowly, they began to merge into Uchiha Izumi’s eyes.

Izumi felt a dull swelling pain coming from both eyes, as if another pair of eyes were forcibly squeezing their way into hers.

At the same time, the ocular power within both of her eyes continued to surge.

It was a strange sensation—painful and yet incredibly comfortable at the same time.

Several minutes later, the Mangekyō Sharingan had completely fused into Uchiha Izumi’s eyes.

Naruto asked,

"How do you feel?"

"It feels like something is developing inside my eyes, and my ocular power keeps getting stronger."

Izumi continued,

"But I can’t deactivate the Mangekyō Sharingan. Looking at light makes my eyes uncomfortable."

"At the same time, my vision is doubled. It feels as though I have two pairs of eyes looking at everything simultaneously."

Uchiha Izumi explained all of her sensations before closing her eyes.

Naruto nodded.

"The fusion needs time, and the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan needs time to develop as well. You probably won’t be able to see anything for the next few days."

Izumi asked in confusion,

"Then what will I do when I return to Konoha?"

"You don’t need to go back. I’ll use the Spore Technique to create a clone and have it disguise itself for a few days. There won’t be any problems."

After spending so much time with Uchiha Izumi, Naruto had already memorized many of her habits and little details.

He could easily disguise a clone as her for a few days without anyone noticing anything wrong.

"Okay!"

She nodded.

As if she had suddenly thought of something, Uchiha Izumi continued asking,

"Naruto, are you staying here too?"

"Mm-hmm. I’ll just leave two Shadow Clones in Konoha. All right, let me wrap your wound with a bandage first."

"Okay!"

Hearing this, a smile appeared on Uchiha Izumi’s face.

Naruto smiled helplessly and shook his head before opening Uchiha Izumi’s ninja tool pouch.

There were some basic medical supplies inside. Every ninja carried them.

After finding the bandages, Naruto helped Uchiha Izumi sit up and then gently wrapped them around her.

After tying the knot, Naruto nodded in satisfaction.

"All right!"

Then, as if remembering something, he continued,

"But you won’t be able to wash your face or hair for the next few days. Just endure it for now."

"How can I do that?!"

Hearing this, Uchiha Izumi immediately objected.

Then, as if she had thought of something, the corners of her lips curled upward.

"Naruto, you wash it for me."
