Chapter 136: Chapter 136: its a myth
For several seconds she simply stared at the ceiling, stunned. That hadn’t been an ordinary dream. The details were too sharp, the emotions too raw. She reached for her phone and silenced the alarm with clumsy fingers—then froze.
Enzo was still in the bed beside her.
He was already awake, grey eyes open and fixed on her with quiet intensity.
"Were you in a strange dream too?"
Amelia realized that they shared the same dream.
"That was... our first past life. The day it all began."
A slow, almost cheesy smile curved Enzo’s mouth.
"So you really did have a crush on all three of us."
Heat flooded her face. She yanked the blanket up to cover her naked body, cheeks burning.
"Just—start leaving already."
She slid out of bed with the blanket. The sudden movement left Enzo fully exposed, his morning arousal impossible to miss. Amelia’s eyes flicked down before she could stop herself, then snapped away.
Enzo clearly enjoyed the reaction. His voice was mild, almost teasing.
"Do you even have the strength to stand properly?"
"Shut up," she retorted, gripping the blanket tighter.
He grew more serious.
"This could be a way for me, for us, to remember our past lives, right?"
"True... but I’m not sure yet."
Enzo stood without warning, completely naked. Amelia made a strangled sound.
"Cover up!"
He only tilted his head, that same faint smile returning. "Then we’ll just have to do this again to confirm the theory, won’t we?"
She knew exactly what he meant. A traitorous throb pulsed between her legs. She kept the blanket pressed to her face, but it left her back bare. Enzo’s hand landed in a light, spank against her ass.
Amelia jerked forward with a startled yelp.
"Enzo!"
"You’re too easy to tease."
His low laugh followed her as he finally moved away to collect his clothes, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
"Whatever you decide," he said while dressing, "we’ll follow. This dream we shared wasn’t a coincidence."
Amelia already knew that much was true.
When he was fully clothed he stepped close, pressed a brief kiss to her forehead, and walked to the door. He glanced back once, offered her a quiet smile, then slipped out and closed it behind him.
Amelia let the blanket drop and climbed back onto the bed, staring at nothing.
Her parents had known something about her—something special, something different. How had she never remembered this part before? In every life she could recall, her memories always began from the moment she swore to find her fated mates again... right up until the day she died. Everything before that had stayed blank.
Could this shared dream be a new gifted ability?
It had to be.
She pushed the thoughts aside and forced herself into her morning routine. Through the doorway she could already see a few other women emerging from their rooms, starting their own.

Later that morning, the military training field was already alive with activity.
Amelia jogged at a steady pace, with Amy keeping stride beside her. A small group of recruits followed a short distance behind them, making little effort to keep their voices down.
"Is that really Amy talking to her?"
"After what happened in front of everyone?"
"She’s actually running with the girl who embarrassed her. What happened to holding a grudge?"
Amy showed no sign of hearing them. She kept her eyes fixed ahead and maintained her pace, refusing to give the gossiping recruits even a glance.
Amelia turned her head to look at her.
"Looks like you’ve reached a conclusion."
Amy didn’t hesitate.
"We’re not friends. This is a beneficial relationship. Once I get what I want from you, I won’t have anything to do with you anymore."
"Agreed."
Amelia seemed perfectly satisfied with that answer, which earned her a brief, curious look from Amy. Apparently, she had expected at least a little argument.
They finished the rest of their exercise routines in relative silence before finally dropping onto the sidelines to catch their breath. Around them, other recruits were already sparring in pairs, their fists and feet moving rapidly as occasional bursts of released energy crackled through the air.
Amy wiped the sweat from her forehead and turned toward Amelia.
"So, what do I have to do?"
Amelia watched two fighters exchange a series of blows before answering.
"I can still remember the day I got Swifty. My divine beast."
Amy wrinkled her nose. "That’s a terrible name."
Amelia turned to her, looking mildly offended. "Swifty won’t be happy to hear that."
"Good thing it isn’t here, then."
A faint smile tugged at Amelia’s lips. "And just so we’re clear, divine beasts aren’t ordinary animals. They’re beasts blessed by the gods."
"I already know that," Amy replied, sounding a little impatient. "You don’t have to explain things I learned years ago."
"Then you should also know that getting one to become your companion isn’t as simple as finding a beast and asking nicely." Amelia leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees. "You have to do something that catches its attention enough for it to choose you. Divine beasts have their own minds, and they don’t just agree to bond with anyone."
Amy listened without interrupting this time.
"Of course, there’s another option," Amelia continued. "You can force a bond, but that’s cruel. And even if you manage to do it, there are consequences that can come back to haunt you later."
Amy’s expression grew more serious. "So what exactly do I have to do?"
"We’ll have to go to the place where most divine beasts live."
Amy stared at her for a moment, apparently waiting for Amelia to elaborate. When she didn’t, Amy’s eyebrows drew together.
"Isn’t that just a myth?"
"No. People call it a myth so everyone will stop looking for it." Amelia shrugged. "The place is real. It’s just hidden from the rest of the world."
Amy studied her face, searching for some hint that Amelia was making it up. She found none.
"And you know where it is?" she asked slowly. "How?"
Amelia met her gaze without flinching.
"That’s a secret."
Amy’s mouth tightened. "You expect me to help you get permission to leave this place when you won’t even tell me how you know about a place everyone else thinks is a myth?"
"I never said you had to help me." Amelia rose to her feet. "But if you can find a way to get us clearance to leave this place, I’ll take you there."
