Chapter 438: Chapter 416: Mortal Godslaying (Pseudo)! Reputation System

"When the threads of fate intertwine, witness the final dawn."

Roland’s voice suddenly rose, ringing with the solemnity of a proclamation.

A blinding light burst from the hilt gripped in his hands, as if he were holding a star on the verge of exploding.

Countless fine streams of luminous Energy, like threads of fate, began to frantically weave and coil between him and the blade.

Avril shot her last arrow with all her might, then drew the Dagger at her waist and lunged, only to be casually blocked by Corellon.

Just then, Roland finally recited the last verse of the incantation.

"Thus, this is the blade that shatters all shackles,"

"The mirror that pierces illusion and reflects truth."

As the final verse rang through the sky like a sentence of judgment, the Moonlight Longsword in Roland’s hand erupted.

It was no longer a surge of boiling, Blood-colored Fighting Spirit, but a torrent of endless, azure Wind Element.

As if summoned from beyond the Star Realm, they transformed into a myriad of shimmering whirlwinds of light. They were wreathed in the pure, vast glow of Positive Energy that dispelled all shadows, and they let out a roar that made heaven and earth resonate.

The rubble and splintered wood on the battlefield were swept up by this current of pure Energy, only to be annihilated before they could even touch the blade.

All the Energy...

The savagery of the wind, the purity of the light, and Roland’s own indomitable will—all frantically converged and compressed into the blade of the Bright Moon in an unprecedented fashion.

The blade became like transparent crystal, a torrent of blinding azure and pure white flowing within.

It was as if he held a solidified river of stars, a sliver of the newborn sky.

At that moment, Corellon finally abandoned his attempt to coalesce his Divine Attribute.

With a flourish of his arms, a majestic wave of Divine Power rippled outward, brutally swatting away Avril and Duadeng, who were desperately clinging to him but were already spent forces, sending them flying like fallen leaves.

The pair crashed heavily in the distance, temporarily incapacitated.

He stared at the Longsword in Roland’s hand—a weapon that had already transcended mortal concepts. Sensing the immense Power contained within it, a Power great enough to shake the very Rules, a look of pure, unadulterated admiration appeared on his flawless face for the first time.

"Such light... Such Power..."

His voice seemed to pierce the fabric of space, resounding directly in Roland’s mind with a faint, distant Echo.

"If this were that distant age when the gods walked the earth and a Divine Format was not so unattainable, then with the will and potential you now display, perhaps... you could truly have earned the world’s acknowledgment, seized the supreme Authority, and become one of us..."

Before His words had fully faded,

The Energy accumulated within the Bright Moon had reached its breaking point.

The immense Power distorted the space around Roland.

Light was devoured, sound was silenced.

He seemed to stand alone in a newborn, endless Void where only wind and light existed.

With no shout, no warning, Roland simply swung the Bright Moon—heavy with the weight of a river of stars and the vast heavens—down toward Corellon.

It was not a physical strike, but a release of Energy.

A torrent of azure and pure white—its magnificence beyond description—surged forth. Like the primordial light that birthed the world, it tore through space, annihilating all matter in its path, imbued with the absolute will of judgment and purification.

In Corellon’s eyes, His timeless indifference was finally replaced by an unprecedented gravity.

His hands rapidly traced complex, ancient Divine Patterns before him, calling upon every last bit of Divine Power he could muster.

The viridian Guardian of the Goddess of Life, the united bulwark of the Elf Gods, and even his own foundational Divine Power as a Main God.

All of it formed a dazzling, multi-layered bulwark, shimmering with countless Runes and chains of the Rules.

The next moment, the torrent and the bulwark collided.

There was no sound. Or rather, any sound was erased the instant it was created by an even greater power.

There was only the terrifying sensation of Energy so pure it tore at one’s very senses.

The point of impact became a light-devouring singularity before erupting in a flash so brilliant it would make the sun itself seem dim.

A brief stalemate ensued.

The divine bulwark twisted violently, countless Runes flickering as it frantically consumed Divine Power to resist the destructive torrent.

Corellon’s figure stood tall within the light, arms pushed forward as if propping up a collapsing sky.

However, the torrent—born of the Essential Fusion of a mortal’s will, the Wind Spirit, and Positive Energy—was far more immense than imaginable.

It was not a singular blast, but a continuous, boundless stream, as if connected to an endless font of Energy.

"CRACK—BOOM!"

The sharp cracking sound was like the death knell of a collapsing Divine Kingdom.

The first layer of the Divine Power bulwark shattered, followed by the second, and then the third...

Like snow in the sun, they melted away, layer by layer.

Cracks began to appear on Corellon’s perfect body, like fine porcelain being shattered by an internal Power.

A flicker of disbelief crossed His eyes, and...

a hint of release.

Finally, the last bulwark before Him disintegrated into a sky full of shimmering fragments of Divine Power.

The immense torrent of Energy completely engulfed His form.

There was no explosion, only purification, Annihilation, and a complete scouring away.

Wherever the torrent passed, the earth did not crumble. Instead, as if wiped clean by an eraser, it simply caved inward and vanished, leaving behind a vast, mirror-smooth, bottomless chasm that stretched to the horizon.

The light faded, and the sound of the wind returned.

All that remained on the land was the ghastly chasm of Void, as if the earth had been cleaved open by the Giant Axe of a Divine Spirit.

Roland knelt on one knee at the chasm’s edge, the Moonlight Longsword plunged deep into the scorched earth, propping up his nearly collapsed body.
