Chapter 809: Chapter 364: Graycliff Cigar_2
Lin Yu’an didn’t hesitate at all, directly pulling out ten hundred-dollar US Dollar bills from his wallet and sliding them over.
This straightforward attitude made the smile on Enrico’s face even more genuine.
While checking out, Lin Yu’an looked at Enrico and casually said, "Mr. Enrico, thank you very much for your generosity today."
He paused, then added something that left Enrico somewhat puzzled: "I feel like your future orders... might explode."
"Oh?" Enrico chuckled, assuming it was just a good-natured blessing and compliment from this young customer after spending a hefty amount.
"Well, I’ll take your word for it, hoping my little shop can snag some of your adventurous luck."
Enrico was completely unaware that the influence of the man before him would soon make them regret allowing this livestream...
[Guys, I’ve found it, the store address is...]
[Is there any stock left, hurry and get some for me!]
[Oh no, China’s purchasing power is about to teach the boss a lesson.]
[Boss: If I could start over, I would never serve that Chinese guy! We can’t handle all the orders!]
Lin Yu’an didn’t offer further explanation, he just smiled mysteriously. Carrying the cedar wood humidor that exuded a rich aroma, he turned and left the small shop filled with stories.
After leaving the cigar shop, he was drawn to a fruit stand on the street corner by a fruit he had never seen before.
The vendor was a chubby lady with a bright headscarf and an amiable smile. She enthusiastically introduced her treasures to Lin Yu’an.
"Try this, young man!" She cut open a rough-skinned, heart-shaped brown fruit, "Sapodilla, sweet like caramel pudding!"
Then she picked up a fruit that looked like a green lychee, peeled its skin, revealing the semi-transparent pulp inside.
"This is called Ginep. Put it in your mouth, it’s sweet and tart, the taste of the Bahamas summer!"
Lin Yu’an bought some of everything, also purchasing a large bunch of small "finger bananas" and a few heavy, fragrant local mangoes.
When he returned to the dock with these exotic spoils, it was already past four in the afternoon. The sun was no longer scorching, casting a lazy golden hue over the entire yacht harbor.
Lin Yu’an had ended the livestream, and also recorded plenty of material today, planning to make a video as it had been a while since he last released one.
When he got back to his berth, he found Mike had already returned, who enthusiastically waved him over.
"Hey! Lin! Come have a drink!"
Lin Yu’an walked over and handed Mike a Gauci cigar he had just purchased.
Mike accepted it with delight, clearly someone who knew quality.
He merely squeezed the cigar, feeling its perfect elasticity and humidity, then brought it to his nose to inhale the faint sweet scent of the wrapper, his eyes lighting up.
"A freshly hand-rolled Gauci! You sure know how to pick!"
He retrieved a refined leather case from the boat cabin, containing a German Virtue cigar cutter.
"For good things, you must use tools that match their quality." With that, a crisp "click" sound was heard as he cleanly snipped the cigar cap, the cut as smooth as a mirror.
Lin Yu’an walked over, just about to sit down, when Mike pulled out an identical Gauci cigar and unceremoniously stuffed it into Lin Yu’an’s hand.
"Just beer is too plain," Mike grinned, "you must also try this, it’s the best way for a captain to celebrate a successful voyage."
Lin Yu’an looked at the finely crafted cigar in his hand, "I... don’t smoke."
"Ha! Then it’s perfect for me to teach you!" Mike said with the excitement of discovering the New Continent. "Today you’ll experience the real joy of cigars!"
He handed the cigar cutter to Lin Yu’an, "Come, cut off this little cap. Remember, don’t cut too much, about two millimeters; too much and the wrapper will unravel."
Lin Yu’an mimicked his actions and also cut the cap off his cigar.
"Great!" Mike nodded approvingly, then took out his torch lighter, "Now it’s time to ignite, there’s a lot to this."
He didn’t directly ignite the cigar but first patiently "toasted" the end with the outer flame of the blue fire, slowly rotating the cigar.
"Remember, Lin," Mike instructed while demonstrating, "Lighting a cigar isn’t a barbecue, you need patience."
"We don’t want to set it aflame, but ’awaken’ it. Use the outer flame to slowly toast it until the whole cut turns into a bright red ring."
"Like the edge of a volcano, this ensures it burns evenly and doesn’t deviate."
Once the cigar’s end was perfectly lit, he didn’t rush to smoke but brought the cigar to his mouth, gently blowing a few puffs to ensure an even burn.
Then he brought it to his nose, inhaling the intensified pure tobacco aroma unleashed by the flame, a look of indulgence spreading over his face.
"You try too," he gestured to Lin Yu’an.
Lin Yu’an mimicked his actions, somewhat clumsily, but successfully lit his cigar.
"Alright, now for the crucial step." Mike brought the cigar to his mouth, "Remember, cigars are for ’tasting,’ not for ’smoking.’"
