Chapter 2739: An Undying Body

Chapter 2739: An Undying Body

“This woman is insane!”

That was the thought on everyone’s mind. Even Tingxue raised her eyebrows, surprised by Yani’s strength.

The grayish-white dragon opened its mouth and roared furiously, unleashing an invisible sonic boom that caused the surrounding ocean water to bubble.

The crew members activated the frigate’s defensive formation, forming a transparent barrier around the vessel. It blocked the sonic boom.

However, the grayish-white dragon followed with a breath. Those on the frigate shuddered in fear as they remembered how an unlucky person had been killed and enslaved by this breath. Many guests were prepared to leap off the frigate to avoid the attack.

Yani harrumphed as she hurled a punch over.

It was a simple move, but her punch easily smashed through the dragon breath and charged toward the dragon’s head. Upon contact, its head exploded into a rain of flesh and blood, and its body plummeted into the ocean as a carcass.

Many on the frigate gulped. Good thing we didn’t cause trouble at the hotel, or else we could have been the recipients of that punch.

Zu An was dumbstruck, too. Is she One-Punch Woman?

But Yani didn’t look relieved in the least. She eyed the area where the dragon had just plummeted with a frown. The water bubbled, and a massive bone dragon flew out from within. It opened its mouth and unleashed a soundless roar.

The dragon was truly enraged this time. Despite losing its flesh, it felt more intimidating than before.

“This appears to be its true form,” the white-haired butler said grimly as he stood in front to shield Isabella. “Big miss, it looks like we have encountered a Deity of Death worshiper, and I suspect that is the legendary envoy, Alati.”

The word ‘envoy’ shocked the nearby guests. Many showed looks of despair.

In terms of strength, envoys were second only to the universal deity of their respective daos. They wielded power bestowed by their universal deity, and ordinary worshipers wouldn’t stand a chance against them.

Furthermore, Alati was an extremely famous envoy in the Myriad Worlds. Death followed wherever he appeared. Countless famous and legendary experts had fallen to him.

He'd disappeared when the Deity of Death passed away. Some said he'd been protecting the Deity of Death when the Deity of Annihilation personally vanquished him. Some said he'd betrayed the Deity of Death at a critical juncture and gone into hiding.

No one on the frigate had expected to encounter the legendary Death envoy here.

The talk about the almighty Death envoy brought a frown to Zu An’s face.

It was then Isabella who voiced the doubt that was lingering in his mind. “Hm? Somehow, it doesn’t feel as powerful as the legendary Alati.”

The white-haired butler replied, “The demise of the Deity of Death was bound to weaken all Death worshipers, especially Alati, who used to be a Death envoy. It’s struggling to maintain its sanity. It’s more like a corpse that is battling by instinct.”

“I see.” Isabella nodded. The other guests breathed a sigh of relief.

Zu An was awed. As expected of someone tasked to protect the Universal Conglomerate’s princess. That old butler is highly knowledgeable.

It was then that there was a twist in the battle.

Yani fearlessly charged at the bone dragon and hurled a fist. The dragon fought back ferociously. The terrifying shockwaves rising from their clashes produced a massive whirlpool under them.

The crew members quickly steered the frigate away from the whirlpool, while the other guests watched the battle.

Yani clearly wielded the upper hand, with every punch she hurled shattering multiple of her enemy’s bones.

A few guests whistled. Yani’s beautiful appearance and explosive figure made her quite a spectacle to behold when fighting.

“She’s ferocious. I wonder if she’d be as ferocious in bed.”

“Pft. Her legs would crush that scrawny body of yours.”

...

Of course, the guests dared not say those words aloud, fearing that Yani would murder them on the spot.

Yani suddenly roared and punched the bone dragon in half. The crowd gasped.

Forget it. It’s safer to pursue the adorable Isabella.

“Big sister Yani has won!” Isabella cheered.

“Not yet,” Tingxue said.

Confused, Isabella glanced at the old butler for confirmation.

The old butler nodded. “Alati was a Death envoy, after all. It wouldn’t be that easy to kill it, even if it is far weaker than before.”

Shortly after those words were spoken, the bone dragon emerged from the ocean with its shattered bones and torn flesh regenerated.

Yani frowned. She charged at the bone dragon once more and engaged it in an intense fight.

Some time later, the dragon plummeted into the ocean once more. However, it didn’t take long before emerging yet again.

This time, Yani learned from her lesson and sought to shatter the bones into powder, thinking there was no way Alati could regenerate from that.

However, the dragon still emerged again shortly after, with the shattered bones reassembled as good as new.

“How is that possible?!” the guests exclaimed in disbelief. Yani had already killed the bone dragon multiple times now, but the latter kept returning to full health.

Yani’s breathing had become ragged, and her chest puffed up and down, threatening to pop her buttons and break free of her shirt. At this rate, she was going to be at a disadvantage. Despite being the stronger one here, it felt inevitable that she would be defeated.

“Uncle Alfred, are Death envoys immune to death?” Isabella was intrigued.

The old butler frowned. “That’s impossible. If that was the case, Death worshipers would be invincible. Even the Deity of Death can die, so how can a fallen envoy be immune to death?”

A groan suddenly echoed.

As the battle dragged on, Yani was eventually struck by the dragon’s attack and knocked back. The dragon pursued her relentlessly, not giving her time to rest, determined to exact vengeance for the earlier insult.
