The bar erupted with laughter, hinting that the boss lady was not bad either, and that a visible beauty was better than an unseen one.

The boss lady wasn’t angry, leaning against the bar while gently swirling her wine glass, "If you can talk, then talk more now. Later my man might get angry and cut off your tongues for appetizers."

Most of the people in the bar didn’t take it seriously, with only a few whose smiles became strained, probably because they knew the boss lady’s background.

"Handsome, you’ve been sitting here for ages, not talking or drinking. Do you have something on your mind?" The boss lady scooted a bit closer to Xu Huo, her fingertips lightly sliding along the rim of his glass, "If anything’s troubling you, feel free to tell me. In Lake City, there aren’t many things I can’t handle."

Xu Huo smiled, "I’ve heard the Wildberry Bar boss is very capable. As long as you pay, you can handle what others can’t."

The boss lady grinned charmingly, "It’s just that people give face. If you have anything, we can discuss it inside, as for the price, it’s negotiable."

"Discuss what?" Someone nosily approached, naturally putting his hand on the boss lady’s back, "Why don’t we three discuss together?"

In a small room reserved for guests, the boss lady poured a cup of tea and placed it in front of Xu Huo, "Tell me about your business."

"Miss Ruo," Xu Huo stated.

The boss lady’s expression turned subtle, "I thought you were a gentleman, sitting next to me for an hour without a glance, but it seems you have quite discerning tastes."

"You’ve misunderstood," Xu Huo replied, "Two days ago, I entrusted someone to send a visit letter to Whale Garden, but Miss Ruo hasn’t replied yet. I suspect it’s because the intermediary wasn’t diligent enough, so I want to try a different channel."

"You’re quite patient," the boss lady chuckled, "But you’re asking the wrong person. Even the district government from Lake City might not get any courtesy from Miss Ruo."

"I don’t need you to necessarily help me enter Whale Garden, just inquire for me." Xu Huo took out several stacks of White Notes and placed them on the table.

The boss lady’s gaze swept over his gloves briefly, then she suddenly asked, "Can you take off the gloves for me to see your hands?"

"Why?" Xu Huo asked with a smile.

"Players often traverse dangerous places, so wearing a protective suit all day long is not strange. Therefore, during leisure, most choose a more relaxed style. Wearing gloves like you does seem unusual."

Xu Huo smiled and nodded, rising to leave.

Not long after leaving the bar, two players followed him, one being the man who earlier negotiated with the boss lady.

Leading them around the island for a bit, he finally stopped at a less populated area.

"Looking for me?" Xu Huo inquired, observing the two emerge from the shadows along the wooded path in the small park.

"Just wanted to know about your business with the boss lady," the man said.

Xu Huo raised an eyebrow, "So idle, why don’t you scoop lake water with a spoon for fun?"

Unfazed, the man grinned, "Hey buddy, refusing a toast and opting for punishment is no fun..."

"Is that so?" Xu Huo casually lifted his chin, and Spatial Ray Blades and Spatial Barriers already suspended the two in midair, "Does this seem fun?"
