(Wait a moment to modify) Xu Huo watched the promotional clip and cheerfully paid the money. The young woman was also happy to see him being so generous and suggested he could check out the underwater meteor phenomenon after the sculpture exhibition.

"The underwater meteor phenomenon is a spectacle formed by worms that can enter the water. During their mating season, they flock into the water, forming a river of glowing light beneath the surface, looking like shining stars. Occasionally, they suddenly dive or rise, and the light in the water elongates their glow, resembling meteors."

"However, the ticket price for the underwater meteor phenomenon is quite expensive, and the chances of seeing it are not high. I don’t sell tickets here; you can try your luck at the venue."

Xu Huo nodded, gave a small tip, and prepared to leave.

As he exited, another guest entered the shop. A tall woman dressed in relaxed, casual attire lacked the androgynous beauty typical of Lake City people, making her stand out. The young ladies in the shop eagerly gathered around, their eyes sparkling as they introduced the fine wines to her.

"Please, don’t fight over it, okay?" The woman flicked her short hair and smiled at everyone. "I’ll try all your recommendations later, but just make sure not to get me drunk!"

The girls responded with crispy laughter, "We have places to stay here, so if you get drunk, you can rest, and we guarantee it’s safe!"

Even when Xu Huo walked far away, he could still hear their laughter, a scene commonly seen in this vibrant city.

"Such a lively and enthusiastic city."

Xu Huo went to the well-known places on the island first, tried the recommended food, and then went to the underwater sculpture exhibition.

The scale of the underwater sculptures was much larger than he imagined, almost as vast as a small island. Besides the totems and scripts formed by ancient cultures, there were also works by famous sculptors from Zone 022 in recent years, symbolizing a continuation of tradition.

The ticket price for the underwater meteor project was indeed high. Unlike the sculptures with an underwater passage, it utilized a spatial barrier to form an underwater bubble, where people could sit like on a cable car and observe closely.

The number of visitors per viewing session is limited, and so is the duration, so whether one encounters a meteor is purely down to luck.

Xu Huo purchased a single person ticket and drifted into the depths with the protective barrier.

About a minute later, faint glimmers appeared in his field of vision. Initially sparse, they soon gathered underwater into a winding moving river of stars, heading toward the deeper heart of the lake. Yet, in the dim underwater light, the spectacle painted a unique luminous panorama.

Suddenly, the entire river of stars began to sink. Streaks of faint green light arced underwater. From a lower position, they really looked like falling meteors, and they lasted for quite a while.

Beneath the shimmering light, Xu Huo bobbed with the currents, and bubbles occasionally floated by. Suddenly, a bubble rising slowly from the star river below accidentally entered the meteor group. One after another, worms collided against it, and the flickering glow illuminated a woman’s exceptionally beautiful face inside the bubble.

Even in such obscure light, many eyes were drawn to her. A player reached out and pulled her from the star river. She turned around and politely smiled at the person.

It went without saying: "The district library has a lot of resources; you can look up anything you want."

"So you think black space is similar to a black hole?" Xu Huo pursued, "Why?"

"So you think black space is similar to a black hole?" Xu Huo pursued, "Why?" [The darkness of the heart is unfathomable; wherever the heart covers, so too does darkness.]

"My Heart is Dark" had a straightforward introduction, but with the little girl’s example, Xu Huo quickly grasped its usage.

First was that black force, indeed a kind of power, capable of wrapping others and moving them to a desired location. Moreover, the larger the area and longer the duration it enveloped, the greater the deviation in perception and basic judgment it would cause, to the extent it could even swallow space-time power.

But that doesn’t mean space-time power is entirely ineffective. In any confrontation, the amount must be considered. For example, a general spatial barrier cannot interfere with time force, but dimensional space power can, and so can this black power.

Next is the coverage area, mostly centering around the building where the holder resides. However, being shrouded and traveling by the black power wasn’t the same as spatial evolution, which traverses special space channels, but rather entering another space, or a space’s corner. When the item is activated, the holder is taken into another black space, understood as adjacent to the current space. Once inside, it’s equivalent to temporarily leaving the original space, albeit not completely, because the duration is limited. Prolonged stay results in the black space automatically expelling the holder.

Xu Huo speculated this was a restriction designed to align with the instance, as entering the black space didn’t mean truly leaving the current space entirely, thus still unable to take advantage of it to escape the instance directly across district or Wormhole Points.

Of course, its function is not just in enveloping others. More importantly, it has very peculiar defensive capabilities. Being able to swallow time force implies that most characteristics may fail to activate when encountering it, even when effective, it can be easily interrupted.

Xu Huo tested its maximum range and duration. Once darkness was generated, as long as he didn’t use it to engulf others, it could last indefinitely. However, if he followed into the black space, the external darkness would fade, and he could stay in the black space for at most five seconds.

This applies to the holder; if it was someone else.

He looked at the little girl, namely Lei Jie Lian.

Lei Jie Lian was already crouching on the ground, having run back and forth in the black space several times with Xu Huo, appearing more exhausted. But upon catching his dangerous gaze, she couldn’t help but say, "You’re not thinking of throwing me into the black hole, are you?"

"What would happen if I did?" Xu Huo asked.

"They would disappear forever," Lei Jie Lian said, "I advise against doing that."

"I’ve thrown quite a few people in before," she said, "and those thrown in never come out again. Even if I immediately go back in, I can’t find them, and the more people you throw in, the larger the darkness grows. The larger the area the darkness covers, the more it drains you."

"I wasn’t this weak when I first obtained this item."

"Have you researched this item?" Xu Huo asked, referring to the District Government and Chief Governor.

"This is my secret. Why should I tell others?" Lei Jie Lian said naturally, "The district library has a lot of information; you can look for anything there."

"So you think black space is similar to a black hole?" Xu Huo pursued, "Why?"
