Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 2775: Lost
After the woman finished speaking, she slammed the door shut with a deafening sound. The twins glanced at the little girl behind them, then picked up the dead bird from the floor again. However, the commotion finally drew the attention of the servants, who arrived belatedly. The two women hurriedly coaxed Xiaoxiao, Tiantian, and the little girl back to their rooms. As for the twins, no one paid them any mind, not even daring to cast a glance their way.
The twins exchanged a look, seemingly having lost interest, and kicked the bird aside as they returned to their room.
Shortly after the servants left, the little girl’s room door opened again. Holding the doll she had painstakingly glued back together, she quietly ran downstairs and started talking to a painting hanging on the wall.
"Mom, when are you coming back?"
"Tiantian misses you so much."
"The older boys here bully me and broke my doll. I don’t like them."
"The adults don’t like me either. They call me a little mute behind my back and secretly put leftovers in my bowl. I don’t want to eat it, but they force me to finish it."
"I want to grow up quickly so I can leave this place. I don’t like that uncle who visits me often. His gaze is very strange, and he looks at the older boys oddly too."
"The adults say to call the police when in danger, but the law enforcement team uncle tells me to be obedient. I don’t want to listen at all. I want to grow up, have long arms and legs, be able to go anywhere, and not be trapped here..."
She spoke as she cried, seemingly with endless grievances to express.
After she had cried her fill, she climbed up and slowly walked back.
In the deep night, the mansion was silent, especially after the twins fell asleep. Xu Huo wandered around and discovered several tightly locked rooms. It was impossible to see what was inside from the outside. The doors and walls were equipped with alarm systems that would immediately alert others if forced open, and this alarm system likely connected to more than just the mansion’s internal facilities.
While sitting upstairs for a while, he suddenly heard a noise from downstairs. The sick girl was tying the curtains and bedsheets together to slide out of the window. Although it was the third floor, the mansion was quite tall. She slid halfway down but couldn’t go further. As she cautiously looked down, she seemed to want to jump directly.
"What are you doing?" Xiaoxiao suddenly appeared on the balcony, quickly pressing the call button to get the servants to help.
In panic, the sick girl let go, fell to the lawn, and struggled to get up again, limping toward the outside of the mansion, shouting as she ran, "I don’t want to stay with the monsters! I’m not a monster! Help! Kill her! Kill that monster!"
The servants quickly chased after her, tied her hands and feet, and dragged her back. Although they said nothing, their expressions were full of displeasure, and their actions were forceful.
The sick girl cried out in pain, muttering to herself all the while, though everyone else pretended not to hear, bringing her back to her room and tying her to the bed, even stuffing a towel in her mouth.
Once the mansion quieted down again, the ten-year-old boy named Tiantian quietly entered the room and approached the bed. He first looked at the sick girl silently, then said, "You can’t escape. Once you run away, you lose your value and will be killed."
"If you just want to die, you might as well jump directly from upstairs. No need to drive yourself insane."
He sighed like an adult, untied the ropes on her body, and was about to remove the towel from her mouth when the girl suddenly flipped over and pinned him to the ground, choking him viciously and saying through gritted teeth, "You should be the one to die!"
Tiantian struggled, his eyes rolling back, unable to free himself, stretching out his hand towards Xiaoxiao, who was unknowingly standing at the door.
The older boy Xiaoxiao, larger than the sick girl by two years, simply watched the scene coldly, as if not witnessing a murder attempt.
In no time, Tiantian was motionless, but the little girl from the next room came out and asked Xiaoxiao why he was standing at the door.
Xiaoxiao consoled her with a word, then hurried inside to pull the sick girl away and kicked Tiantian, "If you’re not dead, get up."
Still unsatisfied, he coldly looked at the girl, "You’re so useless, with those hands, you can’t even choke someone to death."
The sick girl had calmed down by now, sitting at the edge of the bed, immersed in her own world.
Tiantian woke up, staring hatefully at Xiaoxiao.
Xiaoxiao didn’t care, sneered, and left.
The night saw several rounds of turmoil before dawn, yet no servant came upstairs to check.
"These people are all crazy, right?" The two players who entered the mansion after Xu Huo watched the whole drama through the night. The female player said, "At first, I thought those three kids were pitiful. Who knew they’d all be so abnormal?"
The man accompanying her said, "People being locked here and not allowed out, there must be a reason. We should look for the ’bone statue’ first. The one on the second floor is fake; the real one must be somewhere else."
They inspected all the rooms in the mansion, also discovering the sealed-off spaces. Knowing beforehand that this was the Governor’s property, they dared not recklessly destroy anything, deciding instead to find someone to ask.
The servants were obviously the best to approach, but when they went downstairs to head to the servants’ quarters, they found themselves lost. The once-clear corridors had suddenly multiplied, leading nowhere. One corridor led to another, with endless corners, going in circles.
Spinning around, they couldn’t find the servants’ quarters or even the way back upstairs.
"Who are you, uncle and auntie?" The little girl’s voice unexpectedly sounded behind the pair. Startled, they exchanged a glance before the woman approached, crouching down kindly to talk to the girl, "Little girl, we’re guests here, but we accidentally got lost. How did you get here?"
The little girl pointed back, "I was hungry and came down to find something to eat. You can go out that way."
The two players looked up, seeing no change in the corridor, so they took out some candy, "Little girl, if you lead us, these candies are yours, okay?"
The little girl nodded and led the way at the front, strangely unrestricted by the mansion, with both players safely exiting.
Seeing an opportunity, the man asked, "Do you know where there’s another statue like the one on the second floor?"
The little girl, eagerly eyeing the candy in their hands, counted on her fingers before speaking, "I saw it upstairs, on the floor above the second floor."
"That must be the third floor." The two players exchanged looks. The third floor was where the kids lived. They had just checked there and found nothing.
"Why don’t you take us there?" The man offered more candy.
