(Wait a moment to revise) The sound of a throat bone breaking was clearly audible; no one expected the butler to suddenly explode into a killing spree. As the others had yet to react, he directly sank into the wall, even pulling along a player who was nearby!

The closest female player in green immediately released a prop, plastering a layer of protective film on the wall except for the butler’s arm. The player caught by the butler’s hand got stuck on the prop briefly, then forcibly detached from the butler.

Thanks to the prop and evolution, this person’s neck wasn’t torn apart on the spot. He backed up against the wall and swiftly downed a bottle of self-healing potion marked with Stellar Medical’s custom logo. The neck wound visibly healed; he realigned his throat bone himself. Though temporarily unable to speak, it was no longer a major injury.

But at this moment, no one cared for him because after the butler disappeared, all the lights in the mansion went out, and the starlight from outside couldn’t penetrate, greatly compressing visibility and perception. Everyone felt their hair standing on end!

"Quick, get into the room!" Someone uttered, followed by the sound of a door being slammed open, but only the trembling collision of the door panel was heard; the players in the room had already vanished!

"Stay calm!" The scholar shouted: "Don’t move around recklessly..."

Before finishing his sentence, a splash of blood sprayed onto his face, abruptly silencing the voice, plunging all players into a moment of silence!

They couldn’t match the killer’s speed; not even noticing when the attacker approached. Only by the disappearance of those nearby could they gauge the attack range, but that was already delayed. Death shadowed them relentlessly; anyone might perish in the next second!

Suddenly, a light illuminated from behind them, causing everyone to turn involuntarily; it was Xu Huo using a lighting prop.

In fact, at this moment, whether there was light or not hardly mattered; others couldn’t fathom his reason for illuminating, but seeing him heading upstairs with the prop, they followed.

After feeding the birds, Huo left the door ajar, paying attention to the movements within the mansion.

Undercover, attempting to sneak upstairs, naturally became the focus of everyone’s attention. Several players acted simultaneously, yet the prop was sent out only to disappear in the darkness, and even the player who just went up vanished without a trace.

Just as others cautiously prepared to check it out, a dripping sound suddenly echoed from the stairs, followed by a large amount of blood soaking the carpet, a head rolling down in quick successive bounces—it was the head of the player earlier!

Everyone was shocked, knowing no one could disappear almost entirely from others’ sight, but that shadow earlier, they couldn’t make out anything. Players couldn’t even differentiate between human and animal; it just seemed like a thin patch of black swiftly passed by in their vision, and the shadow came and went as quickly. Nobody saw where it originated or knew exactly where it vanished!

All the players in the mansion sprang into action, with Xu Huo swiftly stepping out of the room, making it to the garden just in time to glance at the botanist who was ripped open before a shadow fiercely rushed toward him!

The immense sense of danger prompted an instinctive activation of the "Hand of Space-Time"; as the space cutting line bounced away, large swathes of flowers, along with the nearby gazebo, were sliced into pieces. Yet even amidst such intense defense, the shadow moved effortlessly, failing to land a hit and quickly circled toward another direction!

The spatial body accumulated like a layered wall, forming a massive barrier around Xu Huo, with the time force traversing space, similarly enclosing him!

For the general player, it would be difficult to penetrate the space body belt, but for that shadow, it was no more than a breeze on the face. Its speed did not decrease; instead, it forcibly broke through the defensive barrier, only to abruptly halt when about to enter the time force’s coverage!

It was this brief pause that allowed Xu Huo to barely capture the outline of the shadow: looking at least two meters tall with a robust figure, draped in a cloak-like thick feather robe. This robe not only concealed the form but also blurred the head area, making it utterly impossible to discern!

After a mere transient moment, the shadow disappeared in the sea of flowers before other players arrived.

Standing still, Xu Huo’s childhood and adolescent personas appeared on its path, watching the direction where the shadow vanished.

"Did you catch it?" A player’s voice came from behind; by now, the shadow had disappeared underground. Xu Huo donned his gloves and went to check the botanist’s corpse.

When Xu Huo descended from upstairs, the person was already dead. The shadow not only possessed extraordinary speed but also unparalleled lethality; the botanist’s gruesome death looked much worse than the one earlier sliced into pieces, with forceful enough abdominal penetration to drag all the internal organs out. Besides a small portion smeared on his face, the rest was flung far away.

The faces of several scholars were visibly unpleasant; they anticipated facing attacks but didn’t expect the risk to be so high. Rank-B players hadn’t even seen the face before being killed, implying none present were a match for the shadow!

"Ordinary players wouldn’t make the murder so grotesque." The female player in green said: "The instance holder might not be human."

Initially suspecting Mr. Wen, but judging by the state of the deceased, it is difficult to conclude the killer’s mental state is normal; Mr. Wen clearly does not fit.

Even if he had a split personality, it wouldn’t suddenly double his combat power.

"Nails." Xu Huo found a small piece of hard shell embedded in the botanist’s wound prop.

"Human nails." The gourmet swiftly said: "Judging by the thickness, it must have mutated, some secondary evolvers can alter certain body parts."

"Did you see who it was earlier?" He asked Xu Huo again.

"Wearing protective armor, face unrecognizable, over two meters tall, undoubtedly a secondary evolver." Xu Huo looked back toward the mansion, "When you came out, were the bodies of those two who died still in place?"

Everyone dead, who would care about the bodies?

"The butler appeared." The scholar reminded.

Xu Huo quickly collected the botanist’s corpse and returned to the mansion with the group, only to find the bodies of players who died on the fourth and third-floor stairs had disappeared, without even traces of blood left. Staring at the dim wall lights, everyone felt a chill down their spine.

After a silent two seconds, a player suddenly turned around and grabbed the butler, demanding: "It’s you who killed, or you couldn’t have come so quickly!"

The always courteous butler’s face sank at this time; he slightly lowered his eyelids, looking at the person with eyes reduced to mere slits, "It’s very late, everyone should rest in their rooms, rather than wandering about."

The player holding him was indifferent, "If it’s not you, it’s that old lady, or perhaps the sickly person upstairs..."

Before the words finished, the butler’s fingers suddenly, vigorously, plunged into their throat!
