Chapter 312: Ye Xiaohan Returns for Revenge

  • Next Chapter

Chu Fan had noticed that table of people a long time ago. Although they were dressed like people from the Eastern Domain, a distinct gamey odor gave them away.

Besides, with five of the eight at the Divine Separation Realm and three at the Soul Emergence Realm, it would have been impossible for Chu Fan *not* to notice them.

Now, looking closer, Chu Fan judged from their facial features that the eight of them were from the Northern Domain Grassland.

Chu Fan had crossed paths with people from the Northern Domain in the Miracle Secret Realm before, and he’d even killed a fair number of them. From the looks of it now, the Ye Family had very likely colluded with the Northern Domain.

At Ye Shanglun’s words, the three Soul Emergence Realm experts among the eight stood up.

“Patriarch Ye, a wise man adapts to the times. We’ll lend you a hand.”

The three of them walked toward Ye Xiaohan and the others.

Chu Fan stood where he was, arms crossed, simply watching.

Ye Xiaohan’s Cultivation was at Tier Seven of the Soul Emergence Realm, and so were the three men from the Northern Domain.

Chu Fan was also curious to see how Ye Xiaohan would handle these three.

All three men carried broad-bladed sabers.

“Stand back!” Ye Xiaohan shouted to Wang Xing and Qi Wei, gripping his sword as he charged to meet the three men.

As the four of them clashed, many of the guests retreated another few dozen feet.

Ye Xiaohan’s trip to the Hua Xu Secret Realm had clearly resulted in a significant boost to his abilities.

Despite facing three opponents of the same Realm, he wasn’t at a disadvantage in the slightest after more than ten exchanges.

His Sword Technique was exceptionally sharp and fierce.

As the four fought with wild abandon, the residual Sword Qi and Saber Aura from their attacks shattered the nearby trees and flowerbeds.

“That Ye kid fled Xingyuan City back in the day. To think that in just eight years, he not only became a Cultivator but also got this powerful.”

“Sigh, it’s all fate. What good is his strength now? It’s obvious the five people still sitting at that table are even stronger. Even if the kid manages to kill these three, what’s he going to do about the other five?”

“What’s the story with those eight?”

“Who knows? Judging by their grey irises, they’re probably not from our Eastern Domain.”

“Ye Shanglun is truly ruthless. Eight years ago, he spared almost no one from the main family branch.”

“Forget it. Is this sort of thing really that rare among the Noble Families? Whoever has the bigger fist calls the shots.”

In truth, Ye Xiaohan was also growing anxious. He hadn’t expected the Ye Family to have another card up their sleeve.

Of course, it wasn’t as if he had no backup plan of his own. If he truly couldn’t win, a single whistle from him could summon a horde of wild beasts.

Still, the combat experience he’d gained fighting beasts in the Hua Xu Secret Realm three years ago was now on full display.

After several dozen exchanges against the three Martial Artists of his Realm, he managed to wound one of them with his sword.

With one man injured, Ye Xiaohan’s Sword Techniques became even more fluid and connected.

The three men were already on the back foot, and now their defeat seemed inevitable. However, Ye Xiaohan wasn’t overwhelmingly stronger; killing all three would still take some time.

After another dozen exchanges, Ye Xiaohan found an opening. His sword flashed, and a beam of Sword Qi shot directly at one of the burly men.

The burly man had no way to dodge.

Even if the other two had wanted to intervene, it was already too late.

But just then, one of the five men at the table suddenly leaped into the air. He threw a dart that shot toward Ye Xiaohan’s chest, imbued with immense power.

At that moment, Chu Fan flicked his finger, and a burst of Qi Power knocked the dart out of the sky.

An instant later, on Ye Xiaohan’s side of the fight, one of the three burly men let out a pained cry and collapsed, unmoving.

“Who was that?!” the man who had thrown the dart demanded, his eyes scanning the crowd.

Chu Fan’s cold voice cut through the air. “What’s this? Can’t even win a three-on-one, so a Divine Separation Realm expert like you has to resort to sneak attacks? Are all the people from the Northern Domain so shameless?”

As Chu Fan finished speaking, all five men stood up and glared at him furiously.

Ye Shanglun spoke up. “Young man, do you intend to meddle in the Ye Family’s private affairs?”

“Shopkeeper Qiao!”

Chu Fan placed a hand on Shopkeeper Qiao’s shoulder, stopping him before he could speak. His eyes locked onto Ye Shanglun. “Your Ye Family has some nerve, colluding with people from the Northern Domain. Betraying your country for personal gain. And you have the gall to question me?”

“How dare you!”

Chu Fan’s current identity was, after all, just a Guard. Hearing his words, Ye Shanglun was terrified. The Ye Family’s dealings could not be exposed yet. Otherwise, they would surely face sanctions from the Great Xia.

“Righteousness isn’t measured in volume, Patriarch Ye,” Chu Fan said. “Why don’t you just watch the show for now. We’ll deal with your problems later. If any of these five make another move, they die.”

With that, Chu Fan crossed his arms again and turned his attention back to Ye Xiaohan’s fight.

Just then, Ye Xiaohan cut down another one of his opponents.

The five Divine Separation Realm experts could finally sit still no longer. One of them leaped up and lunged at Ye Xiaohan.

“I told you not to move. You just wouldn’t listen.”

Chu Fan shook his head. He picked up a chopstick from the table in front of him and flicked it casually. The chopstick curved in mid-air, embedded itself between the Divine Separation Realm expert’s eyebrows, and exited through the back of his skull.

The man only made it halfway before his body fell, stiff as a board, to the ground.

“You…”

The remaining four stared at Chu Fan in terror, but none dared to speak.

Another scream rang out as Ye Xiaohan finished off the last of the three men. Without a moment’s hesitation, he turned to Chu Fan and bowed with his fist clasped in his hand.

“Thank you for your help, brave warrior.”

“We met on Yunmeng Mountain and spent several days together at the Celestial Dao Palace. ‘Thank you’ feels a bit too formal between us,” Chu Fan said lightly.

Ye Xiaohan didn’t immediately register Chu Fan’s words, but then a look of delighted surprise spread across his face.

“You… You’re…”

“Shh!” Chu Fan stopped him from saying any more.

“I can guarantee no one in this courtyard will dare to move. Go on to the rear courtyard. The hatred from all those years ago must be washed away with blood,” Chu Fan said.

“Right!” Ye Xiaohan responded, then led Wang Xing and Qi Wei as they charged toward the rear courtyard.

“Stop them!” Ye Shanglun bellowed.

But which of the Ye Family’s Guards would dare to stand in their way?

Ye Shanglun himself rushed forward, trying to block Ye Xiaohan’s group. However, Ye Xiaohan had no intention of killing him just yet. He simply tossed him aside, sending him crashing onto a table and scattering shattered dishes across the floor.

The four remaining Martial Artists from the Northern Domain stood frozen, their cold, deep-set eyes fixed on Chu Fan. They didn’t dare to move. The thought of escape crossed their minds, but they didn’t dare act on it.

Before long, a torrent of screams erupted from the rear courtyard.

“You… you people…” Ye Shanglun struggled to his feet, pointing a trembling finger at Chu Fan.

“You are reaping the bitter fruit of the seeds you sowed eight years ago. This is the Celestial Dao, the cycle of Cause and Effect,” Chu Fan said with a cold laugh. “What’s the matter? Did your hand not tremble when you were the one doing the killing back then? Can’t you bear to watch your own family fall under the blade now?”

“Who are you?” Ye Shanglun pleaded. “If you spare my Ye Family, our entire clan will serve you like slaves.”

“Serve me? A traitor like you isn’t even qualified to be my slave.”

Chu Fan had only intended to watch a good show, but this was an unexpected bonus. The Ye Family was actually colluding with the Northern Domain.

Now that he’d stumbled upon it, how could he possibly turn a blind eye?

“They only came to our Ye Family to purchase warhorses! The Ye Family has done nothing to betray the Great Xia,” Ye Shanglun flatly denied.

“We’ll find out whether or not you’ve betrayed the Great Xia in a moment. I’m sure these four will tell the truth,” Chu Fan said, nodding his chin toward the four men from the Northern Domain.
