Junior Sister, I Really Have to Control You
Chapter 137 - 95: Three Yang Spirit Fire
Chapter 137: Chapter 95: Three Yang Spirit Fire
Grand Daoist Yanyu took a long time to accept a certain reality.
As the most talented cultivator in the current generation of Zulu Temple—and perhaps even in the last three hundred years—she had barely broken through to the Divine Travel Realm near the end of her lifespan, and only with the help of two fellow Grand Daoists.
Yet, Li Yinsheng was just in his early twenties and already a Grand Daoist of the Divine Travel Realm.
The first thing she did after breaking through was to waive all the expenses Li Yinsheng and his companion had incurred for repairing the White Rainbow Sword and purchasing the Vein Casting Rope.
Following her breakthrough, the restoration of the White Rainbow Sword had conveniently reached its final stage.
Previously, the three Daoists of Zulu Temple had merely prepared the numerous materials needed for the repair and subjected them to initial Refinement; they hadn’t actually begun fixing the blade.
After Daoist Yanyu’s breakthrough, she rested for only a single day to stabilize her cultivation before personally stepping in. Using the prepared materials, she restored the White Rainbow Sword herself.
In Li Yinsheng’s guest courtyard.
Daoist Yanyu stood to the side. Li Yinsheng cradled the repaired White Rainbow Sword in his hands, gazing down at it intently, while Shangguan Ling’Er leaned in close beside him.
The repaired White Rainbow Sword didn’t look much different, except that the fine, dense cracks that had previously webbed across its entire body had completely vanished. Now, the entire blade shimmered with a lustrous glow, like white jade.
Its edge didn’t appear particularly sharp, but as Li Yinsheng brushed his fingertips along it, he had a premonition that even with his current physique, the blade could effortlessly slice through his defenses.
However, after a century of his nurturing, the White Rainbow Sword’s Spirituality had grown incredibly close to him. No matter how much he stroked the edge, it wouldn’t harm him.
In terms of sheer sharpness alone, the Celestial Cyan Sword still fell far short of the White Rainbow Sword. But regarding Spirituality, even after its restoration, the White Rainbow Sword remained inferior to the Celestial Cyan Sword.
Even so, Li Yinsheng estimated that with the White Rainbow Sword restored to its peak condition, it would be several times more effective when teaching his junior martial sister the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword. Coupled with his guidance and the Shifeng Sword Intent on Cangfeng Temple’s Washing Sword Mountain in three months’ time, his junior martial sister actually had a chance of cultivating the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword to produce one hundred and twenty-eight streaks of Sword Light.
However, what would limit her by then might not be the inherent difficulty of the Yin Yang Light-Splitting Sword itself, but rather her Magical Power.
At that time, she would only have a little over thirty years of cultivation. Unleashing one hundred and twenty-eight streaks of Sword Light all at once would most likely drain her Magical Power completely dry.
He wondered if there was any way to help her improve her cultivation further, or perhaps deepen her reserves of Magical Power.
"Yin Sheng?" Shangguan Ling’Er seemed to notice him deep in thought. She poked his shoulder with her fingertip. "What are you thinking about?"
"I’m thinking about Xiaoyu’s cultivation," Li Yinsheng said, absorbing the White Rainbow Sword back into his body and looking at her. "Her cultivation progress is still a bit too slow."
"Slow?" Shangguan Ling’Er’s eyes widened. "With her level of talent, cultivating normally for an entire lifetime might not even yield thirty years of cultivation!
"Are you still not satisfied with that?"
"It’s not enough." Li Yinsheng shook his head.
"I have no idea what you’re thinking. Will you only be satisfied once you’ve dragged her all the way up to become a Daoist? Is she really that important to you?" Shangguan Ling’Er wore a look of utter incomprehension.
Ignoring her complaints, Li Yinsheng turned to Daoist Yanyu and smiled. "Yanyu, the White Rainbow Sword has been restored as good as new, and its Spirituality is perfectly intact. Thank you for your hard work."
"Li, you’re far too polite. If it weren’t for you and Spiritual Phoenix Daoist, I would have perished completely. This meager effort is far from enough to repay the immense gratitude Zulu Temple owes you both," Daoist Yanyu laughed warmly.
She felt a wave of deep emotion in her heart.
Three Grand Daoists. Zulu Temple currently housed three Grand Daoists!
Even Shouyi Temple, with all its arrogance, only had two Grand Daoists. Although the two in front of her were only guests, she herself was now a bona fide Grand Daoist. In the future, when dealing with Shouyi Temple, Zulu Temple would have a much stronger backbone.
"When it comes to accomplishments in Artifact Refining, under the Zhengyang Dharma Vein, there shouldn’t be anyone who can compare to Daoist Yanyu, right?" Li Yinsheng smiled.
"You flatter me, Li." Daoist Yanyu smiled modestly.
However, her implication was clear: Li Yinsheng was absolutely right. Before she became a Grand Daoist, Bifeng Temple—which was also skilled in Artifact Refining—did have a Daoist whose refining skills were on par with hers. But now that she was a Grand Daoist, her mastery over her Divine Sense and Magical Power was far superior to before. Naturally, she would be much more adept during Artifact Refining.
Seeing Daoist Yanyu’s seemingly modest yet tacitly agreeable demeanor, Li Yinsheng’s eyes lit up.
Previously, he had been racking his brain over how to quickly help his junior martial sister improve her Artifact Refining skills. Now that an Artifact Refining Master of the Grand Daoist Realm was right here, things would be much more convenient.
"Yanyu, I have a presumptuous request," Li Yinsheng said.
As he spoke, he glanced toward the neighboring guest courtyard, where Mu Xiaoyu was studying Artifact Refining under the tutelage of a female Steward.
Following his gaze, Daoist Yanyu immediately understood his intention.
"Are you worried about Mu’s Artifact Refining studies, Li?" she asked.
"Indeed," Li Yinsheng nodded. "I intend to have my junior martial sister take Artifact Refining as a minor. She does have some talent for it, but since she’s only just beginning, I’m afraid she’s lagging behind quite a bit."
"Starting to learn Artifact Refining at this age is indeed a bit late compared to the disciples of Zulu Temple," Daoist Yanyu noted. "However, I can see that Mu has excellent talent for it. Moreover, she is grounded, diligent, and trains painstakingly hard.
"It’s just a delay of a few years. At her current age, as long as she receives guidance from a good teacher and practices relentlessly, she will certainly achieve great things in the future."
"It’s a pity that our Xuanzhen Temple currently doesn’t have any cultivators skilled in Artifact Refining." Li Yinsheng sighed and shook his head, his face carrying a look of regret.
