The Pinnacle of Moon Edge Style

Once again, no one was able to see Victor draw his sword.

The movement had been so fast that even the sharpest eyes present could not catch the moment the blade left its sheath.

There was only the faintest flash of silver.

Then Fean’s body had been divided.

One cut.

Then another.

Then another.

The wounds were so clean that for a brief moment, the pieces of Fean’s body remained in place, as though his flesh had forgotten that it had already been separated.

The cave became strangely quiet.

Dust floated through the air.

Small pieces of stone continued to fall from the damaged ceiling, but nobody paid attention to them.

Evelyne stared at Fean.

Her breathing had become shallow.

She had witnessed Eddy’s attack, but even after seeing the result, she still couldn’t understand how he had accomplished it.

He hadn’t appeared to move.

He hadn’t seemed to draw his sword.

Yet Fean had been cut apart.

Evelyne’s fingers tightened around her own weapon.

"That sword..."

She swallowed.

There was something fundamentally different about Eddy’s swordsmanship compared to everything she had seen before.

It wasn’t simply fast.

Speed alone could be trained.

Strength could be cultivated.

Power could be increased.

But this was different.

His movements seemed to exist between the moments that ordinary people could perceive.

Evelyne looked at the scattered pieces of Fean’s body.

For a moment, she thought it was over.

The berserk Fean had been cut apart so thoroughly that even someone with incredible vitality should have struggled to survive.

Surely this should finish him.

But then—

Something moved.

A faint twitch passed through one of Fean’s severed pieces.

Evelyne’s eyes widened.

The pieces began shifting.

Slowly at first.

Then faster.

Flesh stretched toward flesh.

Blood vessels extended like thin crimson threads.

Muscles pulled against one another.

The severed pieces began bonding together again.

Evelyne’s face turned pale.

"No..."

The word escaped her before she could stop herself.

The body that should have remained scattered across the floor was beginning to reconstruct itself.

Eddy had already guessed that this might happen.

He had been waiting.

His expression didn’t change as he watched Fean’s body begin to reconnect.

He had expected regeneration.

After all, Fean had already demonstrated that his body possessed an abnormal ability to restore itself.

What mattered now wasn’t whether Fean could regenerate.

It was how far that regeneration could go.

Eddy’s eyes narrowed.

Then his hand moved.

Again, nobody saw the sword leave its sheath.

A silver arc flashed through the dim cave.

"[Moon Edge Style- Moonlit Dance]"

The blade passed through the pieces of Fean’s body.

Once.

Twice.

Again and again.

The already severed pieces were cut into even smaller fragments.

The sound of slicing flesh mixed with the sharp ringing of steel.

Fean’s remains scattered farther across the ground.

What had previously been roughly a hundred pieces became countless smaller pieces.

It should have been impossible for anything to reconstruct itself from such destruction.

Yet Fean’s body continued moving.

The tiny fragments trembled.

Then they began crawling toward one another.

Even pieces that had been separated by several meters slowly dragged themselves across the stone.

Evelyne couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

"He’s still regenerating..."

Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Eddy didn’t answer.

His golden eyes remained calm.

He simply watched.

He wanted to know.

If Fean could continue regenerating after being reduced to such pieces, then there was no point wasting strength trying to destroy him through repeated attacks.

But if there was a limit...

Then that limit could be exploited.

So Eddy waited.

He didn’t attack again.

He didn’t rush forward.

He stood quietly with the sword in his hand and allowed Fean’s body to reconstruct itself.

Seconds passed.

The fragments slowly merged.

Bones connected.

Muscles formed around them.

Skin spread over the newly reconstructed flesh.

Blood vessels reconnected.

Piece by piece, Fean’s body returned to its original shape.

The process was disturbing to watch.

It wasn’t natural regeneration.

It looked as though the very concept of separation was being rejected.

Eventually, after several seconds, Fean’s entire body was fully repaired.

He stood again.

His body was complete.

His limbs were restored.

There wasn’t even a missing piece.

But Eddy noticed something else.

Fean was breathing heavily.

His chest rose and fell much more violently than before.

Each breath was deeper.

Rougher.

The unnatural calm that had surrounded him was momentarily disturbed by the physical exhaustion of the process.

Eddy’s eyes narrowed.

So that was it.

The regeneration wasn’t free.

It consumed something.

Stamina.

Mana.

Perhaps both.

The more damage Fean suffered, the more resources he needed to restore himself.

Eddy’s lips slowly curved upward.

A vicious smile appeared on his face.

It was the same kind of smile Victor and the other incarnations often wore when they finally discovered the weakness of an opponent.

"Interesting."

Eddy’s grip tightened around the sword.

Now he understood.

There was a limit to Fean’s regeneration.

That was enough.

He didn’t need to know exactly how much mana Fean had left.

He only needed to make sure Fean spent it faster than he could recover it.

For the first time since taking control of Victor’s body, Eddy looked genuinely pleased.

"Since this is the first battle I had in ages, I’ll allow you to witness the pinnacle of the Moon Edge Style."

His voice wasn’t loud.

Yet the words carried through the cave with absolute clarity.

Evelyne looked toward him.

Something in his tone made her heart tighten.

There was confidence there.

Not arrogance.

Confidence born from familiarity.

It was the voice of someone who had spent an unimaginably long time refining the same blade.

Eddy slowly raised his sword.

His Zenith Aura began covering Victor’s body.

But this time, something was different.

The aura wasn’t spreading around him in a large, overwhelming layer.

Instead, it remained close to his body.

A smaller layer.

Dense.

Controlled.

Every trace of energy seemed to have been compressed until it became almost tangible.

The ground beneath Eddy’s feet began to crack.

Crack.

Crack.

Crack.
