The Memories of Adam and Eva!!!

Adam finally sighed.

"I really think you should go back, Eva."

This time, his voice was more serious than usual.

The casual smile disappeared from his face.

Eva’s expression changed.

"Why?!"

Her voice carried more emotion than before.

"Do you really think that I will be getting in your way?"

There was pain in her eyes.

For the first time since they had started arguing, she looked genuinely hurt.

Adam immediately shook his hea d.

"No."

His answer came without hesitation.

He turned toward her completely and looked directly into her eyes.

"You can never be in the way."

Eva’s lips parted slightly.

Adam stepped closer.

The violent wind continued to howl around them, but his voice remained calm.

"It’s just that, if I know my woman is going to be in danger, of course, I want her to stay back."

The moment Adam said those words, Eva froze.

"My woman."

Those three words seemed to hit her harder than the divine energy shaking the heavens.

Her blue eyes widened.

A faint blush appeared across her cheeks.

Then the blush spread.

Within seconds, her entire face had turned crimson.

Adam noticed.

A small smile appeared on his lips.

Eva looked away immediately.

"Huh?"

Her voice suddenly became much quieter.

"W... Wh... Who is... your w...w....w....w-ommmm... woman? Who is? Huh?"

She stumbled over every word.

The confident alchemist who had been arguing with him moments ago had completely disappeared.

Adam couldn’t help himself.

He smiled.

Eva’s embarrassment only grew.

She tried to look anywhere except at him, but her flushed face made it impossible to hide what she was feeling.

Adam had seen her angry.

He had seen her serious.

He had seen her standing fearlessly in the middle of dangerous battles.

But seeing her like this was rare.

And he found it adorable.

Eva finally gathered enough courage to glance at him.

"What are you smiling about?"

Adam didn’t answer immediately.

Instead, he raised one hand.

Then he pointed at Eva.

"You are my woman, Eva. I love you."

Adam said it with a completely straight face.

There was no hesitation in his voice.

No embarrassment.

No attempt to soften the declaration.

He simply looked at Eva with his golden eyes and stated it as though he were announcing an undeniable truth.

For a moment, Eva became completely still.

Then her face turned even redder.

If someone had been standing nearby, they might have genuinely wondered whether smoke was about to start rising from the top of her head.

"Y-You..."

Eva’s fingers curled nervously at her sides.

She wanted to argue.

She wanted to say something clever.

She wanted to regain the confidence she had possessed only moments ago.

Unfortunately, her mind had stopped cooperating.

Adam watched her reaction with a faint smile.

He had known Eva for a long time.

He had seen her face terrifying enemies without blinking.

He had seen her stand on the battlefield with blood and dust covering her clothes.

He had watched her calmly analyze complicated alchemical formulas that would make most people lose their minds.

But apparently, three simple words were enough to completely defeat her.

I love you.

Adam decided to make things even worse.

"So, Eva, how about you? What do you feel about me?"

His question came so naturally that Eva almost forgot how to breathe.

She looked at him.

Then she looked away.

Then back at him.

Adam waited patiently.

Eva had been caught completely off guard.

"Do I really have to say it?" Eva asked.

Adam raised an eyebrow.

"I told you my feelings, isn’t it fair to tell yours?"

There was a teasing note in his voice.

Eva’s cheeks grew hotter.

"You already know how I feel. Do I need to say it?"

She was clearly trying to escape the situation.

Adam simply nodded.

That single nod made Eva realize there was no escaping this.

She scratched the back of her head awkwardly while lowering her gaze toward the ground.

The mighty alchemist who could confidently argue with Adam about divine energy was suddenly fascinated by the dirt beneath her feet.

"Fine, but..."

She swallowed.

"I... I... I lo...love you... too."

The words came out in fragments.

There were several pauses between them, and Eva looked as though every syllable required tremendous courage.

But she had said it.

She had finally said it.

Adam’s smile became warmer.

Without giving her any time to retreat, he stepped toward her and wrapped his arms around her.

Eva’s eyes widened.

"Hey, wait, Adam—"

She didn’t get to finish.

Adam leaned down and kissed her.

Eva froze for a heartbeat.

The world around them seemed to disappear.

The raging divine energy in the distance, the dark clouds above, the violent wind sweeping across the land—all of it seemed to fade into the background.

There was only the warmth of the person standing in front of her.

Adam’s kiss carried all the affection he had been holding back, while Eva slowly stopped resisting and allowed herself to return his feelings.

Their lips remained together for a long moment.

To Adam, it was simply a tender confirmation of what they had finally admitted.

To Eva, it felt as though time itself had stopped.

After what seemed like an eternity to her, Adam finally pulled away.

Eva stood there staring at him.

Her face was completely crimson.

Then reality returned.

"W... W... W... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

Her voice echoed across the surrounding wilderness.

Adam tilted his head in confusion.

"Huh? That was a kiss, wasn’t it?"

Eva’s mouth opened.

She stared at him as if she couldn’t believe what she had just heard.

"I know that was a kiss! What I meant was why did you do it?"

Adam blinked.

"Huh? Aren’t we lovers now? Isn’t that what lovers usually do?"

Eva’s shoulders dropped.

"Yes... But..."

She let out a long sigh and rubbed her forehead.

"Never mind."

Adam’s smile widened slightly.
