-> A being that possesses not one or two but twelve unique skills.
-> As an ancient species that has gone extinct more than a few centuries ago, this unique being is one of the anomalies that has appeared in an age where it should not have belonged.
-> It belongs to a certain group of beasts that are known as (Individualists), creatures that despite being from a certain species do not possess any certain racial characteristics.
-> They are born naturally from the meeting of two of their species however, the abilities that they have makes them completely separate from the others.
-> Since they are individualistic species, they naturally do not have any great parental obligations towards their offsprings, however, they do take care of them in certain cases.
-> It has been judged that the reason this particular one from the lost tribe is present here, also has something to do with its parents.
-> Though, even within beings of this kind, this particular one seems to be unnaturally unique.
-> To possess a few unique skills itself is something considered to be a blessing from the world itself, but to possess unique skills of diverse variety, to possess null element skills and skills that can perfectly enhance the abilities of these null attribute skills, is something one could not possibly ignore.
…
…
…
-> This is an absurd creature. In the near future, with the help of right guidance, it might prove to be an asset that could help more people than one could possibly imagine.
============
My eyes strangely had a lot to say about this creature… it did not curse at me, it also did not go around the things and said exactly what I needed to know and exactly what someone who had understood the uniqueness of the situation might say about this being.
“Greetings, Great Aunt.”
“Great aunt? Huhu, don’t be like that, little Eon. I’m not so old that you’d call me ‘great’ aunt, now, am I?”
She was a unique null attribute mage, one that actually knew what null attribute was unlike Quin. and, though she was comparatively younger than our Great uncle, she was still much older than our mothers.
“You’re old, Mime~. Hehe, you’re definitely old~.”
“Awww… don’t be like that, Anna. you’re breaking your Mime’s heart here, ahen ahen.”
She was strong, though she did not look like it.
‘With her simple looks, her long black hair, and her dark hazel eyes that seem more southern than the lighter shade of eyes that one might find in the north.’
Just like the ocean blue eyes of my grandfather, the light brown eyes of my grandma and mom, the deep pink eyes of my great uncle that still are of a light hue, the darker shade of eyes that Great aunt had were similar to the eyes that people living in the south of the empire had…
‘Just like how Rein has a distinctly darker hue of light pink, how her grandpa has a deep purple shade, and how her grandma has a deeper silver shade, the eye colours that one has particularly changes depending on their geographical origin.’
It has something to do with the water and Mana of that place, the energies and the soil as well perhaps, but the eyes do tell a lot about a person than their faces and hair in this world.
‘And, that is the very reason the distinctly darker red eyes that my father, I, and Anna have do not fit into the characteristic eye colour of any human region.’
Red eyes are common within the vampires and a few other species, it’s also seen among people possessing a distinctly high concentration of a high density energy, but, it’s pretty rare to see the kind of shade of red that we have in people that mainly use lighter density energies like Mana, Arcanum, or Solnova.
‘So, we are pretty special… but I should not be thinking of those things when I am talking with someone else.’
I know she can tell I’m lost in some other kind of thoughts, so… I should stop this.
“That’s considered disrespectful in many places, Eon.”
“Yes. I made a mistake… I apologise, great aunt.”
“Again with great aunt? You’re going to break my heart as well, Eon~.”
She was upset that I was calling her great aunt instead of her name like Anna does. But, she did not mind it, really.
She was simply being playful when she acted as if she was almost about to cry. It was quite the acting, actually.
You’d almost fall for it if you did not know about acting and real emotions any better.
***
“Smff, smff~? Smfff~~!”
Sammie, the little rodent, strangely loved both me and Celes. It was a simple looking creature but it was no simple being.
It was cute though.
“Smff~. Smff smfff~.”
{ “Oh? You’re awfully funny, mister Sam.” }
“Smfff~!”
{ “I shouldn’t call you mister? It breaks your heart when someone is overly respectful to you?” }
Like master, like familiar… it was quite the combination actually.
“It’s fascinating that he can talk with him. Even I can’t talk with that one.”
Since Sam was a being from a long time ago who had somehow appeared in this time, it was not like the other creatures.
It did not use the same Wavelength of Mana that the creatures of this era were familiar with so even Taika, who was a beast, could not understand what this one was saying.
To us, what it was saying, each and every single thing that it was saying was practically rune language, so unless one understood the old languages and the ‘language’ like me, it would be difficult for them to understand this little one. Explore more at empire
“Hmph. Even I know what it is saying… I just can’t talk back.” Rein was making a funny face, so the others including Anna and me could not help our giggles.
‘Understanding what this little one was saying wasn’t a difficult thing to begin with.’
Just like its master, there were many who could tell what this little smart one was trying to say. It was a small mouse, a rodent, but it was also strangely expressive.
She definitely understood what it was saying with her truth seeing eyes, but even she could not understand how to use the unique language with her replicative skills.
It was difficult since it was related to the runes. This was more expressive and more than words, we were talking about reproducing certain kinds of frequencies that would translate into the language of these beasts.
It wasn’t a simple thing, it was pretty difficult to talk with this one like I am doing right now. But, since it is a cute one, it was fun talking with it. It was exactly like Harry when it came to knowledge of the old times, but in terms of personality, this one was like Anna.
Cheerful and bright.
“Hey, dad… can we go to the sparring ground now? I think they have had enough rest.”
Spector Heliox, my second cousin. He was not a mage or a knight like Carla, but, monk.
‘And no, by monk, I am not talking about the people who dedicate their lives to a certain kind of spiritual pursuit.’
By a monk, I mean someone that trains just their bodies. Like a martial artist, these unique people aim to push their bodies beyond their physical limits.
“Oh, if everyone is fine with it, I don’t mind it either. I want to exchange a few blows with them as well and see how much they have improved.”
“Haha, you’re going to be pretty surprised Thor~!” Carla was laughing, but elder uncle could tell that wasn’t the overconfidence she was showing.
She had improved, just like the rest of the people that he was seeing right now.
‘All three of them from my elder uncle, elder aunt, and our elder cousin were itching to fight us right now.’
Especially Rein, me, our presidents, Chry and Quin as well as Zoe. They wanted to test us all… and it was visible in their blazing eyes.
‘Quite a unique maternal family I have, huh?’
Spector was much older than us, he wasn’t bald, he was pretty muscular, more than many knights that I know, and he did not have any Mana or Aura inside of him despite being much stronger than Carla or sir Mel in terms of pure strength.
Instead of Mana or Aura, he had a unique kind of spiritual energy honed through years of dedicated hard work. It was a dense energy like Aura, but it wasn’t destructive.
It was calm, like Arther, though not as dense as it. It was also not as ‘sharp’ as Aether, but was smooth like Arcanum.
‘It wasn’t my first time seeing this particular kind of spiritual energy since I had seen it during the grand conference and the gatherings in the academy, so I knew about it.’
Still, the existence of someone like him in this not-so-simple family was quite surprising to me. So, I wanted to fight with him as well.
“Then, how about we all go and fight first before we have our dinner? It will be better to eat on an emptier stomach than to fight with a filled one.”
I was simply suggesting something obvious, but that simple suggestion sparked a bigger reaction than I expected…
‘In fact, that reaction was so big that I didn’t even understand when or how or in what way I was dragged to the training grounds.’
It happened so out of the blue that it was simply fascinating for me.
“Then, if no one minds, can I go first?”
And, I was somehow facing my great uncle now, so, I was even more intrigued at how all of this had happened with my little Anna in the centre of it all.
‘My little love was definitely something, alright.’
