Eon was helping Taika with a pair of (Bullion Buffalos) that she brought back from their last trip to the far west of the continent.
“Haha, to think a creature would overpower him~. He looks so funny~.”
The (Bullion) were a rare species and an (Indigo) ranked creature that you don’t find just anywhere.
They were one of the strongest species when it came to raw strength. They were strong by nature, but their muscle strength wasn’t all there to their strength, they were also one of few creatures in the world that could use Spirit magic…
‘What made them so special was exactly their ability to directly get the help of the spirits.’
And, unlike most of the other creatures that can use the help of the spirits, these creatures can use the help of the Earth spirits. A rare attribute of spirits that not many people could use.
Earth spirits were rare in comparison to the common wind, water, light, and fire spirits as well. There were surely people who had contracts with these rare spirits, but the (Bullions) were a kind that had the ability to use these spirits to augment their own strength, making them one of the most powerful creatures by raw strength.
They were so powerful that people compared them with the giant golems mentioned in the stories.
They lived in vast wastelands and ate grass… despite their great strengths, since they weren’t that big by size, these creatures didn’t need much food to survive.
But they were still rare beings since there weren’t many of them in the world. Plus, it was difficult for them to find a partner since most that had remained of their kind were males that were more adapted to the changed environments around the world.
‘But the pair that Taika brought were different.’
They were a couple, a pair of male and female.
‘The female was younger than the male, a lot younger actually, but it was actually a good thing.’
Since these beings only had an average lifespan of a hundred years with females living for shorter periods, having a younger female meant the chances of producing a larger number of offspring was greater.
“Haha. When she handles them, they are like docile pigs, but after she simply ordered them to ‘train’ with him, they are acting like their lives depend on this fight.”
“Hehe, she’s amazing sometimes.”
Since Taika was much stronger when it came to pure strength and had the ability to control the spirits of nature as well, their ability to use the powers of the spirts did not work before her.
She was stronger by nature, but even though she wasn’t as powerful as these beings she was a tiger.
‘That bitch fought these couples for an entire night when they came across them.’
She did not know what these creatures were, but Brian knew how rare they were and how I’d like to have them as well.
They were amazing creatures, as well as something that might just be a good present to uncle, so he asked her to help her subdue them.
‘However Taika being Taika just fought these two on her own and after a long battle that was one sided anyway, she made them submit to her.’
They brought them with them and we are going to take this pair to the north with us.
The environment there is pretty good and they will have a few proper caretakers there so I’m pretty sure my uncle will like them.
“Haha.”
Eon and Elle just got back from her house and though they had known about these creatures, Taika and Anna were playing with them in the garden when the two came back.
Eon found these creatures interesting and wanted to see just how strong they were and asked Taika to guide them.
‘The couple didn’t find the little baby anything threatening so they started off calmly, only to get beaten by him in the first round.’
The result was obvious since, well, they were going against my little boy.
But then they charged at him with full force, finding it absurd that a small human boy had defeated them.
‘From then on, the two used all their strength… well of course they were fighting inside a barrier that he made beforehand so that they don’t hurt Haze’s plants, and even though a few minutes have passed, both parties are struggling against one another.’
Eon wasn’t using his magic or skills since he wanted to see just what kind of strength these creatures had, however, even he underestimated their strength.
‘He got beaten up, got excited, and challenged the creature once again.’
And they only stopped when my baby cracked one of his arm bones… earning a scolding from Anna who had been watching them fight from the side.
“Haaaa… he’s grown strong.”
“He is…”
Brain was here, with me, in my office, and we were watching them play.
It hasn’t been that long since we had Eon, my little baby.
‘I still remember when he first asked for permission to practise archery.’
He was a little boy back then, a pure little boy… we lost him once, and he had only come back a few years ago, so quite a long time has passed since then.
But still, it felt like a moment ago that he was a little boy holding his little bow, struggling to make his arrow bend a little.
“Even his magic…”
Brain, my charming husband, had been through a lot in the last few months.
After Eon’s disappearance, he did everything he could to find him. He found an isolated civilization while doing so and became their lord.
He found Taika, and after Anna… things were simply different for both of us.
“I remember the first time I taught him magic… changing the reality… he took it to heart, it seems.”
Back then, he didn’t like having a beard, but now he has facial hair that I have to trim for him since he doesn’t do it himself.
His usually long hair used to be a hindrance when he had to move through rainforests, so he cut them short and started keeping them short.
He looked hotter that way so I don’t mind all that, but… he used to be more free… more expressive. Something that has changed quite a bit in recent years.
“It’s fine. He’s still our little boy.”
He was stronger, smarter, and older now. But he was still the same Eon that I had known all my life. He even had a girlfriend now, so he was surely more than a baby boy now.
‘Sadly, just like his dad, there was a mountain of responsibilities on his shoulders.’
He was a good actor, I know he got it from me, but even if he was good, hiding it from his mom wasn’t possible.
Both of us know how he’s entangled with a bunch of complicated things and is doing much more than we know of, but he knows how to take care of himself.
He has someone to stop him from doing more than he has to, and he knows what would happen if he pushes himself more than he should.
‘I know he is planning something again… his president and vice presidents are here already and I’m pretty sure they were talking about the headmaster this morning.’
They are definitely up to no good, but… hopefully, they know what they are doing.
“Now, enough with all that.”
He was having fun and Anna was there to scold him. We still have to finish preparing and packing so we should get back to that.
“Bend that one over, Brain. We don’t have much time left.”
“…”
It has been a while since we visited our hometown, our first home. We saw uncle at the grand conference but we didn’t get to greet him properly with all the things going on.
Eon hasn’t greeted him properly yet either so there is a lot we will have to do when we get there.
We are going to be pretty busy actually… and since we are going to spend a few weeks over there, there will be a good lot of things we will have to do over there.
“Hurry up, Brain! Don’t just stand around like that!”
“Yes, yes. Don’t shout like that.”
We have to finish what we were doing, get started with the packing, and after we’re done doing each other, it might just be dinner time.
I also have to take care of the paperwork, there’s the matters regarding the north and the work distribution here, and a bunch of other things.
“I’ve gotten used to this place, actually.”
“Ugh… you can say that while keeping your teeth away as well, can’t you?”
“This is more fun.”
Seeing his expressions was always fun, hehe.
“Oh, let’s not forget that other thing. Uncle asked me to bring them as well.”
“I know… I know, haaa… I’ve… packed them, already.”
“Good boy.”
-Slap.
“Hey!”
“Hehe.”
Anyway, we aren’t doing anything inappropriate. He’s organising the boxes and… I’m simply hindering him.
He’s using magic anyway so he’s not moving. Which isn’t that good a thing either.
It would have been more fun if he was moving instead.
“Oh, right. Did we do that-.”
“Don’t! Don’t talk and just…! Just get it over, with.”
Teasing him will always be the best thing. Actually, he changes slightly after we have children, doesn’t he?
‘He was all high and mighty before our marriage, then after Eon, he got softer and all cute, and now he’s all icy and sexy.’
How will he chance if we were to have another-.
“I know what you’re thinking… and I know you shouldn’t think that.”
He was suddenly looking at me with a serious look.
“I know.”
He seemed a little worried about me, but there’s no need for all that.
“I know what I want.”
I’m pretty sure we aren’t going to have any more lovely babies, but what if fate has something else in store?
We cannot discard the possibility completely now, can we?
