Invincible Snake Emperor
Chapter 799: Using the Unconditional Taming Skill for the Second Time
Chapter 799 -729: Using the Unconditional Taming Skill for the Second Time
Outrageous! This was absolutely outrageous!
The Artifact Spirit felt deeply humiliated. It was an utter disgrace.
‘Who exactly calls the shots in these War Relics?’
Any intruder would be toyed with until they died a miserable death at its hands.
‘That snake… Is it provoking me? Showing contempt? Treating me like I’m nothing?’
“In one hour, we’ll settle the score.”
Just as the Artifact Spirit was about to fly into a rage, Tu Xiao’an’s slightly breathless voice came from within the shroud of black fog.
The otherworldly man froze, then a wicked smile spread across his face. ‘Settle the score with me? What a joke.’
‘How could it possibly settle the score? What could a mere snake use against me, the Artifact Spirit of these War Relics?’
It was always the one who had others dancing in the palm of its hand.
‘Fine. I’ll wait. This is my domain. I have all the time in the world.’
‘What’s an hour, anyway? I should be a little more generous to my playthings—to the soon-to-be-dead.’
The otherworldly man had already come up with a hundred ways to torture the woman and the snake inside.
Now, he just had to put them into practice.
‘Enjoy yourselves for now. The pain that follows will be doubled.’
…….
On the large bed, the man and woman’s breathing gradually steadied, and the bed finally fell silent.
“Xiao’an, are you confident you can defeat that Artifact Spirit?” Now that their passion had subsided, it was time to face reality. Luo Ziyun asked worriedly.
No matter how she looked at it, they were at the Artifact Spirit’s mercy—just fish on a chopping block.
Luo Ziyun had indulged Tu Xiao’an so completely because she knew they could die at any moment.
The Artifact Spirit in these War Relics possessed world-shaking, terrifying powers, capable of treating even a High Rank War God like a toy.
An enemy like that was truly terrifying.
Tu Xiao’an wrapped one arm around the beautiful woman, patting her full, round bottom with his other hand. “I’m not sure. But even if we die, I’ll die before you do.”
Luo Ziyun was lying on Tu Xiao’an’s chest. She heard his words but couldn’t see the faint smile playing on his lips.
“No, Xiao’an, I don’t want you to die! In all my five hundred years, you’re the one most likely to reach Rank Four of Ascension. Even my adoptive father can’t compare to you. You shouldn’t die in these War Relics like this,” Luo Ziyun said, her words coming from the heart.
Tu Xiao’an chuckled. “It’s rare to hear such high praise from you.”
“Be serious.” Luo Ziyun was in no mood for jokes. After a moment of thought, she said, “Xiao’an, I’ll hold off the Artifact Spirit. You find a chance to escape.”
“We can’t escape. It’s an Artifact Spirit; it controls the entire War Relics,” Tu Xiao’an said, his tone turning serious. “Besides, if anyone’s escaping, it’ll be you. I’m the man.”
Luo Ziyun looked up, gazing blankly at his handsome face. He was a man; she knew that.
But for both of them to perish in these War Relics… it seemed like such a waste.
“Ziyan, don’t worry. I, Tu Xiao’an, won’t let my woman die.” Seeing how anxious she was, he stopped teasing her and said seriously, “When I said I wasn’t sure… I meant I wasn’t sure I could lose.”
In a direct fight, Tu Xiao’an had no chance of winning. But he had a trump card up his sleeve.
Otherwise, how could Tu Xiao’an have been in the mood to make love to Luo Ziyun?
“Really? You’re not lying to me?” Luo Ziyun found it hard to believe. His tone had changed so abruptly.
It was hard to know whether to trust him.
“Haven’t you seen me perform enough miracles? Believe it or not, I’ll make that annoying Artifact Spirit get on its knees and cry for you,” he said with a faint smile.
Luo Ziyun rolled her eyes. He was getting more and more ridiculous.
She slowly rose from the bed and retrieved a cyan dress from her Ancient Ring. She dressed herself gracefully, and in a few moments, her entire demeanor had changed, becoming noble and elegant.
Just then, Luo Ziyun turned to look at Tu Xiao’an and froze.
Tu Xiao’an had been even faster. He was already fully dressed and standing behind her, watching her with a gentle, appreciative gaze.
The battle was about to begin; matters of the heart would have to wait.
Luo Ziyun chided him playfully, “You sure get undressed fast, but you get dressed even faster.”
In truth, Tu Xiao’an’s clothes weren’t real; they were a manifestation of his Elemental Ability, created with a single thought.
“Xiao’an, we’ll fight it together. If we win and manage to close these War Relics, we’ll have made a contribution to the world. If we fail… well, it won’t be so bad if we go to the Underworld together.”
Luo Ziyun had come to terms with their fate.
Her only regret was that her lover would have to die with her.
Tu Xiao’an smiled and caressed Luo Ziyun’s cheek. “You just stay quietly on the sidelines. It’s only an Artifact Spirit. I’ll take care of it in no time.”
“Xiao’an, don’t be careless. This Artifact Spirit is not to be underestimated,” Luo Ziyun said, her expression grave.
Tu Xiao’an said nothing more and walked toward the wall of black fog. Instead of dispersing his Dark Ability, he passed right through it.
“Xiao’an, what are you doing? Dispel your ability!”
Luo Ziyun rushed after him but found she couldn’t pass through the area covered by the black fog. She was trapped on the bed.
“You must be tired after… all that. Get some more sleep. I’ll be back soon.”
“Xiao’an, get back here! Dispel this damned black fog Barrier!” Luo Ziyun cried out in alarm, her body trembling. He was going to face that terrifying Artifact Spirit alone.
“You damned snake! You lied to me again! Get back here!”
A terrifying aura erupted from Luo Ziyun’s body as she punched and kicked at the black fog, only to find it was completely useless.
A bitter smile touched her lips. ‘Since when has this snake grown so powerful that I have to look up to him?’
“Xiao’an, if you die, I won’t go on living alone! Do you hear me?!”
Luo Ziyun screamed desperately.
…….
Tu Xiao’an opened the door and walked out, finding himself in a spacious corridor.
“Come on out. Why are you still hiding? I know you’re getting impatient.”
Hmph!
With a cold snort, the space in the corridor began to twist and warp.
A moment later, Tu Xiao’an found himself back in the magnificent hall, where the corpse of the Rank Four Divine Spirit was a grisly sight.
The otherworldly man was staring intently at Tu Xiao’an, his eyes like those of a predator sizing up its prey.
“Your courage is commendable, for a snake. Are you truly not afraid to die?”
Tu Xiao’an shrugged. “You’re an Artifact Spirit,” he asked noncommittally, “and these War Relics are an independent space. If I were to become your master, would the entire War Relics belong to me? Could I control it as I please—make it exist or disappear on a whim?”
“…” The Artifact Spirit stared at Tu Xiao’an as if he were an idiot.
‘What nonsense is this snake spouting? Is he insane?’
‘Become my master?’
‘This is the most ridiculous joke I’ve heard all century.’
‘Other than my master, the Ancient God, who is worthy of my submission? Don’t underestimate me just because I’m an Artifact Spirit. The powers I possess are far beyond the imagination of modern Cultivators.’
“I’m just asking if what I said is correct,” Tu Xiao’an pressed.
The Artifact Spirit was so angry it laughed, momentarily speechless.
“I, the great Artifact Spirit, will personally strip off your Snake Skin and turn it into a rug. I’ll step on it every single day!”
Tu Xiao’an was smiling too. ‘System,’ he said inwardly, ‘I want to use the Unconditional Taming Skill.’
Tu Xiao’an had actually been saving this ridiculously overpowered Skill for the Taotie in Wencheng.
But clearly, this Artifact Spirit was an even more suitable target, wasn’t it?
