Invincible Martial Artist from Foreseeing Opportunities

Chapter 101: On Feiyun Peak, I Will Kill You in Three Breaths!

He had lost count of the number of attacks. His Power was already completely exhausted, and the energy fueling his continued fight now came from his Essence Blood.

Zhao Fu’s expression was solemn as he wielded his sword single-handedly. Under the enhancement of the Golden Willow Step, he exuded a transcendent demeanor, truly living up to the name of the Immortal Institute.

Another standing disciple beside him fell once more.

His Five Internal Visceras Inner Strength swirled, squeezing his Essence Blood to convert it into new Power. However, Zhao Fu didn’t know if he could even survive until that moment.

Another volley of arrows rained down. The densely packed feathered arrows seemed endless. With everything exhausted, the sword in Zhao Fu’s hand was knocked away, and an unavoidable arrow pierced straight through his chest. In such a rain of arrows, failing to dodge even one meant that getting struck continuously would naturally follow.

A hint of despair appeared on Zhao Fu’s face.

DING!

A Light Steel Sword thrust out from an unknown angle, slicing two incoming arrows in half.

Zhao Fu didn’t turn around. He knew exactly who was behind him.

“Why did you come back?”

“Since Junior Brother Zhao refuses to leave, of course I had to come back,” Jiang Wu said in a relaxed tone, carrying a sense of unruly freedom. His face was deeply wrinkled, looking as if he had weathered many storms.

Zhao Fu was furious. Originally, the Martial Arts Alliance stood united, but unexpectedly, there was a traitor among the Six Great Martial Artists. As a result, everyone was forced to team up in twos and threes. He had told Jiang Wu to leave and take his son with him. To his surprise, both Jiang Wu and the son he had always considered a coward displayed remarkable courage in this very moment.

Zhao Fu felt a surge of adrenaline, and a bizarre red flush appeared on his face. He thought, “If my son and my disciple can act like this, what do I, Zhao Fu, have to fear?”

Traveling alongside him was Huang Ru of the Dragon Claw Skill, who was also a formidable Martial Artist at the Three Viscera Realm.

“Old Zhao, how are you? Can you still hold on?”

After a volley of arrows, the enemies outside needed time to nock their bows again. This brief window was the only moment they had to catch their breath.

Zhao Fu casually picked up a sword from the ground and whispered, “We have to find a way to break out, or we’ll just be sitting ducks here.”

“But we’ve exhausted too much of our strength, and we were poisoned in the plaza earlier. Breaking out is easier said than done,” Huang Ru said in a low, gloomy tone.

The Six Great Martial Artists had parted ways precisely because the tea was poisoned. Yet, coincidentally, everyone exhibited symptoms of poisoning. The only logical conclusion was that someone was faking their symptoms. In life-or-death situations, a crisis of trust was always the most fatal blow.

Zhao Fu let out a heavy sigh.

“The Canon Seat has ordered to capture them alive!” A sharp voice suddenly rang out from outside. Immediately after, bizarre figures clad in yellow hemp garments swarmed in. Their faces were deathly pale, their eyes vacant. Bearing grotesque wounds of varying depths on their bodies, they resembled the Undead, woodenly yet resolutely gripping their Weapons as they advanced toward Zhao Fu and the others.

Sunlight filled the courtyard. Under the bright illumination, Jiang Wu finally moved. He had also broken through to Refining Viscera. Sword gleams intertwined with the sunlight as silhouettes passed through one another. Blood splattered, and heads rolled.

However, no one fell!

The eerie yellow-clad men moved like the legendary Xing Tian; even headless, they could still walk. But without the central control of a brain, their gaits appeared bizarre and awkward, much like crawling maggots.

“Master, charge with me! Let’s head toward the rockery over there!” Jiang Wu said in a low voice.

Disciples from the two great Martial Arts Academies gradually gathered around. They were like anomalies plunging into a sweeping yellow river—people continuously fell and were swallowed by the sea of yellow.

“Wu, take Hai and go,” Zhao Fu whispered.

Jiang Wu shouted coldly, “Master, do you still not understand? These Yellow Heaven Demon People just want to capture us alive. They must have some grand scheme. Even if we die, we absolutely cannot fall into their hands—not even our corpses!” He spoke with absolute firmness.

“Then what should we do?”

“Hold on! These people are just lackeys. No experts have shown up yet, which means someone in Feiyun City must be stalling them. As long as we hold on…” Jiang Wu trailed off. He was gambling. If the defenders of Feiyun City lost, the only ones they would be waiting for by holding on were the forces of the Yellow Heaven Sect.

“Sigh.” Zhao Fu leaned against the rockery, finally getting a brief moment of respite. His disciples Susu and Han Juan quickly stepped forward to attend to him.

But to everyone’s utter shock, when Han Juan reached out to massage Zhao Fu, he flew into a towering rage.

“You were the one who poisoned the tea?!” Zhao Fu bristled with rage like a mad lion. Aside from the few Great Martial Artists themselves, only the closest disciples were allowed near the Martial Arts Alliance’s tea. His face turned pale; he had never expected the culprit to be Han Juan. “I am so full of regret! I hate that I didn’t listen to Guang and kill you!” Zhao Fu said with a contorted expression, lifting Han Juan by her neck with one hand.

“Master, spare me! I just… I just wanted to live. They forced me…”

Jiang Wu merely cast a glance and scoffed coldly. The Long Sword in his hand flew out, flashing with a sword gleam. Wrapped in golden Power, it instantly sent Han Juan’s head flying.

“Master, I told you long ago not to show misplaced mercy.”

Zhao Fu didn’t want to hear his disciple’s lecture, so he turned away, a trace of agony flickering in his eyes. He opened his mouth to speak but ultimately turned those words into the strength to raise his sword and slash. When facing these Yellow Heaven Demon People, hacking and slashing had become almost instinctual, as it was impossible to reason with them.

Behind the City Guard’s Mansion stood a small mountain, which had been designated as a Forbidden Land by the mansion. This mountain was named Feiyun Peak!

“Enemy attack! Enemy attack! The Yellow Heaven Sect has allied with the Demon Sect to summon the Profound World Demons and attack Feiyun City!”

“Quickly notify Qiandu City via the Profound Array! Order the Qing State Chief, Lin Yu, to notify the Zhenxuan Army to join forces with the Mysterious Strange Pavilion and lead their troops to suppress the rebellion!”
