“93700 EXP?” Li Yun exclaimed in disbelief, his eyes widening as he checked the figures before him.

“My EXP increased by a total of 50000!”

For a brief moment, he simply stood there in stunned silence. He had expected a decent reward after everything that happened at the Tea Ceremony, but in his mind that meant perhaps an increase of 10000, 20000, or at most 30000 EXP.

A full gain of 50000 had far exceeded even his boldest expectations.

Then excitement surged through him.

“Hahaha… good. This is definitely good.”

Li Yun laughed openly, the sound carrying through the quiet street as satisfaction filled his heart. Every risk he had taken at the Tea Ceremony, every clash, every provocation, every enemy he had offended suddenly felt more than worthwhile.

The chaos at Heaven Dew Peak had paid off magnificently.

His mood immediately brightened, and for an instant he felt the urge to raise his comprehension stat on the spot. The temptation was strong enough that his fingers almost moved instinctively.

Yet after only a moment, he forcefully suppressed the impulse.

Li Yun knew something important about his comprehension stat. Whenever it advanced into a new tier, he would enter a brief state of enlightenment. During that special period, his mind would become unimaginably sharp, and his understanding of martial arts, cultivation, intent, and hidden principles would soar to astonishing heights for a short time.

That state was priceless.

Using it carelessly would be foolish.

If he advanced his comprehension while standing in the middle of a busy city, even a small disturbance could interrupt the enlightenment process. A passing expert, sudden conflict, loud commotion, or any unexpected distraction might ruin the opportunity completely.

Li Yun had no intention of wasting such fortune.

Because of that, he gradually calmed himself and restrained the excitement in his heart.

“I’ll wait until I find a secluded place,” he muttered quietly.

Then his thoughts shifted elsewhere.

“I should head to Yin Cloud Mountain.”

Once the decision was made, Li Yun increased his pace and left the city without hesitation.

Yin Cloud Mountain was not far from the major cities of Sword Saint County. In fact, many considered it one of the central landmarks of the region. Numerous roads, trade routes, sect paths, hunting grounds, and smaller settlements were connected to it in one way or another. Its vast forests and mountain ranges touched the influence of several cities at once.

Because of that, the journey did not take long for someone with Li Yun’s speed.

By the time he arrived near the outer forest of Yin Cloud Mountain, night had fully settled across the land. The moon was hidden behind clouds, and the dense woodland ahead was swallowed in pitch-black darkness. Towering trees rose like silent shadows, while the wind passing through their branches created low whispering sounds that made the forest feel mysterious and dangerous.

For ordinary people, such darkness would make movement difficult and vision nearly useless. One wrong step could lead to a cliff, a beast nest, or an unseen ambush.

But for Li Yun, none of that mattered.

The moment he activated the Nine Tribulations Divine Eye, a faint mysterious light stirred within his eyes.

The darkness before him instantly lost all meaning.

The forest became as clear as if it were broad daylight. Every tree trunk, hanging vine, broken stone, beast trail, and hidden movement within the undergrowth appeared in perfect detail. Even subtle changes in terrain stood out sharply before him.

To Li Yun, the night no longer concealed anything.

During the day, the Yin Cloud Mountain Range appeared relatively ordinary. Its forests were deep, its cliffs steep, and its terrain dangerous, yet nothing about it seemed especially unnatural at first glance. It looked like any other vast mountain region where spirit beasts roamed and hidden dangers lurked.

But once night descended, the entire range transformed into something far more sinister.

Wisps of black-gray mist began rising from within the valleys and forests like smoke escaping from the earth itself. Those strange vapors drifted upward in layers, spreading across the slopes and ridges until the whole mountain range was wrapped beneath a dark veil. From afar, it looked as though shadowy clouds had swallowed the land.

The sight alone was eerie.

At the same time, waves of bone-piercing cold aura spread through the mountains. The temperature dropped sharply, and even the wind seemed to carry a lifeless chill.

Shrill roars echoed through the darkness from every direction, mixed with snarls, screams, and howls that sounded less like beasts and more like tormented spirits crying from some infernal realm.

Under the cover of night, Yin Cloud Mountain no longer resembled a natural place. It looked like a gate leading into hell.

An ordinary martial artist who witnessed such a scene would likely feel fear crawl across their scalp and retreat immediately. Few would dare enter after sunset unless forced by desperation or madness.

Li Yun, however, cared little for such things.

He possessed both courage and confidence in his own strength. To him, strange phenomena only meant hidden secrets worth uncovering.

With a single leap, his figure rose into the air and shot into the mountain range. He moved swiftly through the darkness while following the route map and information he had extracted earlier from the Blood Zombie Young Master. His destination was the concealed hiding place of the Blood Zombie Demon General.

An hour later, Li Yun arrived at the deepest region of the mountain range.

The forest around him had grown silent, and the atmosphere was heavier than before. Towering in front of him stood a bizarre and grotesque mountain unlike anything nearby. Its jagged outline resembled a demonic ghost rising between heaven and earth, as though some monstrous being had turned to stone while screaming toward the sky.

Even the surrounding air felt oppressive near it.
