Chapter 178: Spreading Fear!
Chapter 178: Spreading Fear!
“Someone at the third level of the Xiantian Realm actually dares to say he will rob something from us?”
Zhao Shu was momentarily stunned when he heard those words. Soon after, a mocking sneer appeared on his face.
“Where did this piece of trash come from?” he said coldly. “Break his legs.”
Ling Zhen also showed a faint sneer as he watched the scene unfold. He had never expected that a cultivator at the third level of the Xiantian Realm would appear and boldly claim he intended to steal the Martial Dao Crystal from them. Because of this, he simply stood back and waited to see how the disciples from the Boundless Martial Palace would deal with such a foolish intruder.
The surrounding disciples also began mocking Li Yun openly.
“Where did this idiot come from? With cultivation at the third level of the Xiantian Realm, he still dares to talk about robbing us.”
“Greed truly makes people lose their minds.”
“Stop wasting time. Deal with him quickly. We still have to deal with Ling Zhen and the disciples of the Martial Ascension Gate afterward.”
Three disciples from the Boundless Martial Palace stepped forward with sneers on their faces. They quickly surrounded Li Yun, clearly treating him as nothing more than an insignificant nuisance.
Li Yun’s expression remained hidden beneath the robe covering his head, but his thoughts became serious.
’I need to finish this quickly.’
He clearly understood how valuable the Martial Dao Crystal was. Such a treasure could easily attract powerful geniuses from the Qi Sea Realm if word continued to spread. The longer the conflict dragged on, the greater the chance that stronger cultivators would appear.
Because of this, Li Yun decided to act without delay.
Without any hesitation, he began circulating all three of his cultivation techniques at once. The Overlord Thunder Scripture, the Wind God Raging Art, and the Great Sun Flame Scripture all surged through his meridians at the fourteenth layer.
A powerful wave of Qi erupted from his body.
Boom.
The sudden pressure exploded outward like a violent shockwave.
The three disciples who had surrounded him were only at the sixth level of the Xiantian Realm. They could not withstand the terrifying force released by Li Yun’s Qi. Before they could even react, their bodies were violently blasted backward and sent flying through the air.
“What?”
The sudden scene caused both the disciples of the Boundless Martial Palace and the Martial Ascension Gate to freeze in shock.
Blasting away three disciples who were at the sixth level of the Xiantian Realm with nothing more than the pressure of one’s Qi was something that should have been impossible. Such a feat could normally only be accomplished by someone who had reached the ninth level of the Xiantian Realm or perhaps even a cultivator who had stepped into the Half Step Qi Sea Realm.
Yet the man standing before them clearly radiated the aura of someone at the third level of the Xiantian Realm.
None of them could understand how the mysterious Robe Thief had accomplished such a thing.
“He is hiding his true strength.”
Zhao Shu’s expression darkened as he turned his head toward the senior disciples standing behind him.
“Senior Brothers, I believe this man is actually at the ninth level of the Xiantian Realm and is deliberately concealing his cultivation. Break his legs and we will find out which sect he truly belongs to.”
After hearing his words, the three senior disciples behind him prepared to step forward. However, before moving, one of them spoke with a cold sneer.
“Zhao Shu, watch the way you speak to us,” the man said calmly. “We only agreed to help you because you promised each of us ten middle grade spirit stones. Our agreement was to deal with Ling Zhen and the senior disciples of the Martial Ascension Gate. It did not include dealing with this strange fellow.”
Zhao Shu clenched his teeth in frustration before speaking again.
“Fine. If you deal with this thief as well, I will give each of you five additional middle grade spirit stones.”
“Haha. Now that sounds much better.”
Shi Feng laughed lightly before shifting his gaze toward Li Yun.
“Lie Wei. Zhang Jun. Go and break his legs and bring him to me.”
The two men standing beside him nodded with sneers on their faces.
Lie Wei and Zhang Jun walked forward slowly before stopping in front of Li Yun. They positioned themselves on either side of him, clearly intending to surround him.
Li Yun observed their movements calmly.
Without any warning, he released a portion of his power.
Whoosh.
A terrifying wave of Sword Intent suddenly spread outward from his body.
In that instant, every disciple present in the canyon felt a sharp and oppressive pressure descend upon them. Whether they belonged to the Martial Ascension Gate or the Boundless Martial Palace, all of them instinctively froze where they stood. It felt as though an invisible blade had been placed against their throats.
At the same time, the swords many of them held in their hands began to tremble violently.
The weapons reacted instinctively to the overwhelming Sword Intent radiating from Li Yun.
“This…!”
Zhao Shu’s expression changed drastically. His entire body trembled as the oppressive Sword Intent locked onto him. It felt as if countless invisible blades were surrounding him from every direction, each one poised to pierce his body at the slightest movement.
Lie Wei and Zhang Jun, who stood closest to Li Yun, fared even worse. The overwhelming pressure from the Sword Intent crashed down on them like a mountain. Neither of them could endure it. Their legs gave way beneath them, and they dropped to their knees, unable to remain standing.
“Damn it.”
Shi Feng frowned deeply as he felt the terrifying pressure spread through the area. He had never expected that this mysterious Robe Thief would have comprehended Sword Intent. Even he felt heavily suppressed under its influence. Although he had already formed a Fist Intent Seed, it was far too weak when compared to Li Yun’s ten percent Sword Intent.
The difference between the two was simply too great.
“If anyone moves, I cannot guarantee that their heads will remain on their shoulders.”
Li Yun’s voice was calm and cold as he spoke. At the same time, he began walking slowly toward Ling Zhen.
