Interdimensional Pornstar System
Chapter 110: Hero - 2
‘Hero? For real…? What the fuck? I was just joking about this shit. How the fuck did I actually end up becoming a hero for real?!’
Kyle was utterly flabbergasted. Although he managed to maintain his composure in front of the two people, he couldn’t believe that defeating a single low-level beast could earn him the title of a hero in this world.
He had nearly died fighting that damn wolf. He had used his skills, consumed several precious consumables, and barely managed to drag himself out of the forest alive. Yet, according to these people, the beast he had struggled so desperately to defeat was the terror of an entire village.
And now they were calling him a hero for killing it.
‘What the fuck is this world?’
“What are you saying, Doctor? Hero? Me? That’s absurd! I didn’t accomplish anything special at all,” Kyle said, pretending to be dumbfounded.
“N-No, Benefactor! You are far too humble for your own good. You have no idea what a great favor you have done for our little village!” Xi Yue interjected, bowing respectfully toward him.
‘Who is he, and why is he so humble? I don’t even see a shred of arrogance within him. He’s been so respectful to us, even though we’re not half as powerful as him, yet he’s treating me and Elder Yuan so respectfully.’
Xi Yue couldn’t help questioning herself. This young man was genuinely different from the arrogant young masters and martial artists she had encountered before.
In this world, powerful martial artists could destroy villages and kill people as casually as snapping a twig if they felt they had been slightly disrespected. It was a cruel world where strength determined everything, and the weak had little choice but to endure the whims of the powerful.
Yet here stood a man who had demonstrated enough strength to kill the Bloodfang Wolf, a beast that had claimed the lives of numerous martial artists, and he showed no apparent arrogance.
Instead, he treated her and Elder Yuan with courtesy and respect.
It was difficult for Xi Yue to understand such a person.
“No, Benefactor. It might be a small matter for you, but for us, it was a matter of life and death every day before you defeated it.”
Elder Yuan spoke up, his expression turning solemn as he explained the situation.
“That beast would frequently come around and terrorize the villagers. It would casually kill our people and livestock, destroy our crops, and leave us helpless. We could do nothing but live in fear every day. The population of our village grew thinner with each passing year, and we were constantly afraid of who would be the next victim.”
He paused, his fingers tightening around his beard.
“For us, every day was a struggle to survive. We never knew when that beast would appear again or whose life it would take. Some families lost their loved ones, while others lost the livestock they depended upon for their livelihoods. Even leaving the village to gather resources or hunt became a dangerous undertaking.”
Elder Yuan looked directly at Kyle.
“You have not merely killed a beast, Benefactor. You have lifted a burden that has weighed upon this village for years.”
Kyle listened quietly, gradually understanding why the two were treating him with such reverence.
“We had called many martial artists and hunters to kill that beast and free us from its terror, but none were successful. We simply couldn’t afford powerful martial artists like you. The money they demanded was far beyond our means. Only wealthy noble households could afford their services.”
Elder Yuan sighed before continuing.
“Moreover, many of those martial artists are ill-tempered. If we accidentally offended one of them, they might turn against us instead. Imagine our situation, Benefactor. We were already struggling to survive, and seeking help from those stronger than us could potentially bring us an even greater disaster.”
Kyle nodded in understanding.
‘So that’s how it is.’
Kyle had more or less expected this explanation.
From what he remembered of the martial arts novels he had read, this was precisely how such worlds tended to operate. The powerful stood above the weak, and ordinary people were often left at their mercy.
‘That’s only to be expected. In a world where people wield supernatural powers without limits or restraint, and one’s strength is determined by birth rather than merit, it is inevitable that power reigns supreme while rules and laws become little more than empty words.’
Kyle thought calmly, offering his perspective on the matter.
‘Either be strong or dead. That’s the kind of world these people live in.’
Although Kyle had never experienced such a world firsthand before arriving here, he understood the underlying problem. Earth, for all its flaws, had laws, institutions, and systems intended to restrain the powerful. They didn’t always work perfectly, but at least there were mechanisms through which ordinary people could seek justice.
In a world where someone could destroy a house with a single strike or kill an entire group of people without facing any consequences, the situation would naturally be different.
Where supernatural power existed without sufficient restraint, abuse was practically inevitable.
‘Well, now that I think about it, Earth is pretty fair in comparison. Although earning money fucking sucks! FUCK JOBS!’
Kyle couldn’t help lamenting his previous life for a moment.
At least on Earth, he hadn’t needed to worry about a random wolf—or some arrogant martial artist—killing him because he happened to be in the wrong place.
“So, please understand what you have done for us and let us do the bare minimum for the trouble you went through,” Xi Yue said earnestly.
‘Oh, baby, I know. I know this shit very well.’
Kyle laughed inwardly, pleased that his humble act seemed to be working so well.
Of course, he was grateful to the people who had saved his life. That much was genuine. However, he wasn’t above appreciating the advantages that came with being regarded as a hero.
‘If you really want to show your gratitude, just come here and suck my dick and record porn already.’
His thoughts immediately took a rather questionable turn.
[Now, aren’t you getting too ahead of yourself right now, Mr. Hero?]
The System suddenly interrupted his thoughts.
‘Bastard comes dare show it’s face again.’
[Can’t believe you’re still bitter about it. Also, I am not showing my face only my voice.]
‘I almost died, and you’re saying I can’t be bitter about it? What the fuck do you mean?!’
Kyle mentally argued with the System, cursing it for its audacity.
Despite his irritation, he couldn’t help remembering the circumstances that had brought him here. Whatever happened next, he needed to remain cautious. He had only just arrived in this world, and he still knew practically nothing about its customs, people, or power structure.
For now, he would take things one step at a time.
While Kyle was busy arguing with the System internally, Elder Yuan approached him and handed the Bloodfang Wolf Pelt back.
“Please, if you understand, then you must realize that we don’t deserve anything from you. Instead, we should be the ones rewarding you,” Elder Yuan said sincerely.
Kyle glanced at the pelt before looking back at the elderly man.
“If you say so.”
This time, he didn’t argue or insist on giving it away. He accepted the pelt back into his possession.
After all, if they wanted to reward him, he wasn’t foolish enough to refuse without knowing what they had in mind.
“I will go and inform my father about the hero,” Xi Yue said, her eyes bright with excitement.
“Very well. Inform the village chief about the hero, Yue’er,” Elder Yuan replied.
Xi Yue nodded respectfully before turning toward the door. Her robes swayed gently as she walked out of the room, leaving Kyle alone with the elderly doctor.
