Infinte Origin
The Physique Of The Abyssal Ravager
Chapter 156 — The Physique of the Abyssal Ravager
The Abyssal Ravager stood before Aether, its six limbs digging into the ground as black Origin Energy spread across the clearing.Aether's gaze settled on the creature.
[Target: Abyssal Ravager]
[Species: Abyssal Origin Beast.]
[Cultivation: Origin Vein Realm — Stage 2.]
[Primary Ability: Origin Energy Consumption.]
[Defensive Trait: Layered Abyssal Armor.]
[Potential: A.]
An entire major realm separated their cultivation levels, but Aether felt no need to retreat. His Infinite Origin Physique provided a foundation far beyond that of ordinary cultivators, while his copied physiques offered additional ways to approach the battle.
More importantly, the Ravager possessed an ability worth acquiring.
Its energy consumption could weaken nearby enemies while strengthening its own reserves. If Aether could copy that physique, he might eventually incorporate the same principle into his growing arsenal.
"Analyze its physique. Can I copy it during combat?"
[Analysis initiated.]
[Target possesses a distinct Abyssal Physique.]
[Physique Classification: Energy Consumption and Abyssal Armor.]
[Combat Copying: Available.]
[Estimated Copying Efficiency: Reduced during active combat.]
[Warning: Copying requires sustained concentration and Origin Energy.]
Aether's eyes brightened.
Perfect.
The Ravager charged before he could examine the information further.
Aether advanced to meet it.
His Infinite Origin Physique refined Origin Energy throughout his body, while his Starforged Physique reinforced his physical strength. His Voidmoon Physique assisted his movement, allowing him to shift away from the descending blade of one armored limb.
The limb struck the ground.
Aether's weapon immediately slammed into the junction between two armor plates.
BOOM!
The Ravager's body shifted under the impact. Before it could counterattack, Aether activated Shadow Step and reappeared behind it, striking the same junction again.
CRACK!
A fracture spread across the armor.
The creature roared and twisted violently, forcing Aether to retreat beyond the reach of its remaining limbs.
At the same time, an unfamiliar sensation stirred within Aether's Infinite Origin Physique. His consciousness followed the flow of energy through the Ravager's damaged body, gradually identifying the structure responsible for its unusual abilities.
[Combat Copying Initiated.]
[Abyssal Physique Copy Progress: 6%.]
Aether's expression remained composed.
The process had begun, but he couldn't afford to concentrate on it completely. Combat copying required sustained attention, and the Ravager wasn't going to stand still while he studied it.
He needed to fight efficiently.
"Blackfang, Ironhide, Grimhorn. Restrict its movements!"
His three original shadows attacked immediately.
Blackfang darted between the Ravager's limbs, forcing it to turn repeatedly. Ironhide charged from the opposite side, its armored body colliding with the creature's flank. Grimhorn followed with a powerful strike against its rear armor.
The Ravager swung a bladed limb toward Blackfang, but the wolf had already withdrawn. Ironhide absorbed the force of its next attack, while Grimhorn exploited the brief opening to strike another vulnerable point.
Aether summoned his three newer Shadow Soldiers.
The Crimsonback reinforced Ironhide's position, while the two Razorclaw Soldiers circled around the battlefield, attacking exposed areas before retreating.
The shadows weren't expected to defeat an Origin Vein Realm opponent individually. Their purpose was to restrict its movements and create opportunities for Aether.
And they were doing exactly that.
The Ravager released a wave of black energy. The surrounding Origin Energy rushed toward its body, and the pressure spreading across the clearing intensified.
Aether felt the effect, but his enormous reserves allowed him to resist it far better than the weaker beasts nearby. He watched the energy flow carefully, continuing to copy the foreign physique while searching for another weakness.
[Combat Copying: 14%.]
[Physique Structure: Partially Analyzed.]
[Identified Trait: Abyssal Energy Assimilation.]
[Secondary Trait: Layered Abyssal Armor.]
The System was gradually reconstructing the structure of the Abyssal Physique within Aether's own Origin Energy.
He could already distinguish the specialized pathways that allowed the creature to absorb external energy and distribute it throughout its body. The defensive armor was connected to the same circulation system, which meant damaging certain junctions would weaken both its defense and its ability to consume energy.

Aether smiled faintly.
"So that's the trick."
The Ravager charged again. This time, Aether met its attack directly.
His Starforged Physique reinforced his body as he brought his weapon against the descending limb.
CLANG!
The collision shook the clearing, but Aether maintained his footing. He immediately shifted his position, using his Voidmoon Physique to avoid the creature's follow-up attack.
His weapon struck the damaged junction.
BOOM!
A second armor fracture appeared.
Aether withdrew before the Ravager could retaliate.
[Combat Copying: 23%.]
[Energy Circulation: Disturbed.]
[Combat Observation: Multiple damaged junctions may destabilize the target's defensive structure.]
Aether had already reached the same conclusion.
"Vaelira, interfere with the energy around its armor. I need a brief opening."
Vaelira raised her hand, releasing silver spatial energy around the Ravager. Thin lines formed between its armor plates, interfering with the flow of energy through its body.
"I can't maintain this indefinitely!"
"That's all I need."
Aether surged forward.
His weapon struck the first damaged junction, then shifted toward a second point beneath the Ravager's left shoulder.
BOOM!
The second junction shattered.
The creature shrieked and attempted to release another wave of black energy, but its circulation faltered. Its armor no longer responded as smoothly as before.
Aether continued moving, his attacks precise and economical.
He wasn't wasting energy on unnecessary clashes. Every strike targeted a point identified through observation and System analysis, gradually dismantling the mechanisms supporting the Ravager's defenses.
Behind him, Aria and Lyra coordinated their attacks to keep the creature's attention divided. Aria targeted exposed armor with her spear, while Lyra used concentrated lightning to disrupt its movements whenever it attempted to turn toward Aether.
The Golden-Horned Blackscale Lion charged from the opposite side, striking the Ravager with its horns. The impact forced the larger creature backward.Aether seized the opportunity. His weapon descended upon another energy junction.
CRACK!
The armor split apart.
[Combat Copying: 41%.]
[Energy Circulation: Severely Disrupted.]
[Defensive Structure: Unstable.]
Aether could feel the Abyssal Physique becoming increasingly familiar. Its structure was no longer an indistinct pattern; he was beginning to understand how its abilities were connected and how they could eventually be integrated into his own cultivation.
The Ravager suddenly released a piercing roar.
Black energy gathered around its body, drawing in the remaining Origin Energy in an attempt to restore its damaged circulation.
Aether's System issued another notification.
[Warning: Target initiating emergency energy recovery.]
[Estimated Recovery Time: 12 seconds.]
Aether's expression remained unchanged.
"Twelve seconds? That's generous."
He raised his hand.
"Shadows, hold it!"
Blackfang attacked the rear limbs while Grimhorn struck from the opposite side. Ironhide and Crimsonback blocked the Ravager's advance, preventing it from reaching the settlement. The Razorclaw Soldiers continued attacking the damaged armor, forcing the creature to divide its attention.
Aether advanced through the opening.
His Voidmoon Physique assisted his movement, while his Starforged Physique reinforced the power behind his strikes. He attacked the remaining junctions in rapid succession, never giving the Ravager enough time to stabilize its energy circulation.
BOOM!
CRACK!
BOOM!
The creature staggered.
Its black aura flickered violently, and the energy it had gathered began dispersing.
[Emergency Recovery: Interrupted.]
[Combat Copying: 59%.]
[Physique Structure: 72% Analyzed.]
The copying process continued as Aether fought. Every new observation helped his Infinite Origin Physique reconstruct the foreign structure more accurately.
However, the process wasn't complete, and he still needed to finish the battle. The Ravager suddenly unleashed a concentrated blast of black energy.
Aether shifted aside using his Voidmoon Physique. The attack passed through the space where he had stood, tearing through the ground behind him.He reappeared within striking distance. The creature raised its remaining intact limbs to protect its exposed core.
Aether's weapon descended.
BOOM!
The strike penetrated the broken armor and destabilized the central energy circulation. The Ravager collapsed. Its black aura rapidly dissipated, and the pressure that had been draining the surrounding Origin Energy disappeared.
Aether landed beside the fallen beast.
[Combat Copying: 82%.]
[Warning: Copying incomplete.]
[Target defeated.]
[Origin Points gained: 300.]
Aether glanced at the notification.Eighty-two percent. The remaining structure is probably harder to reconstruct now that its energy circulation has collapsed.
He didn't need to rush. His Infinite Origin Physique could continue processing the information he had already obtained, but completing the copy would require additional effort. He directed his Origin Energy inward and carefully stabilized the incomplete structure.
Several moments passed.
Then the final notification appeared.
[Combat Copying Complete.]
[New Physique Copied: Abyssal Physique.]
[Primary Trait: Abyssal Energy Assimilation.]
[Secondary Trait: Layered Abyssal Armor.]
[Integration Progress: 0%.]
[Important: The copied physique is independent of the original owner.]
Aether examined the information carefully.
He had acquired the physique, but he hadn't mastered it. Copying and integration were separate processes, and he would need dedicated cultivation to develop its traits and combine them effectively with his existing abilities.
Nor had he inherited the Ravager's cultivation. The creature had spent its own time developing its power, and Aether would have to cultivate the copied physique himself.
Still, the acquisition was valuable.
He now possessed the foundation of an ability that could potentially help him assimilate compatible Origin Energy, along with a defensive trait capable of strengthening his body as integration progressed.
Aether closed the System interface.
To everyone else, the battle had simply ended with him standing over the defeated creature. They couldn't see the notifications that had appeared throughout the fight, and he had no intention of explaining every detail of his private abilities.
Aria approached, glancing at the fallen Ravager.
"That was faster than I expected."
"It had a strong defense, but its armor depended on stable energy circulation. Once I understood that, the rest was straightforward."
Lyra looked at the shattered remains.
"You make fighting something an entire realm above you sound simple."
Aether smiled faintly.
"It wasn't simple. I just didn't need to fight it on its own terms."
Vaelira approached and examined the broken armor.
"The energy structure was unusual. Its defenses seemed connected to its ability to consume surrounding Origin Energy."
"They were. Disrupting that circulation weakened both abilities."
Vaelira nodded thoughtfully. She didn't know about the System or the copying process, but she understood the tactical reasoning behind his victory.
Nearby, Seris finished treating the injured beasts.
"The energy pressure has disappeared. The weaker creatures should recover, although some will need more time."
The Golden-Horned Blackscale Lion approached Aether and lowered its head slightly.
Aether regarded the beast.
"Your group can remain near the settlement until the injured recover. Don't attack my people, and we won't treat you as enemies."
The lion released a low rumble before turning toward its companions.
Aether watched the creatures gather together.
He had no intention of attacking beasts that posed no threat to him. They had sought refuge, fought alongside them against a common enemy, and now deserved an opportunity to recover.
His attention returned to the System.
The Abyssal Physique remained at zero percent integration. Its copied structure was independent of the original creature, but developing its abilities would take time and cultivation.
That was fine.
Aether didn't need to master every new ability immediately. He needed to acquire useful foundations, understand their strengths, and gradually turn them into reliable weapons.
Then another notification appeared.
[Abnormal Origin Energy Residue Detected.]
[Source: Abyssal Ravager remains.]
[Energy Signature: Unidentified.]
[Analysis: Incomplete.]
Aether looked toward the fallen creature.
Its unusual ability might have been natural, but the residue left behind suggested there was something more to investigate. He raised his hand.
"Secure the remains. Nobody touches the residue until we understand what it is."
His shadows established a perimeter around the corpse.Aether looked toward the forest beyond the settlement.
He had defeated a stronger opponent, copied a new physique during combat, and expanded his future possibilities without revealing the true nature of his abilities.
The next step would be integration.
But first, he wanted to know why an Abyssal Ravager had appeared so close to the settlement in the first place.
"One problem at a time."
