Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items
Chapter 321: Looting...
What made this pool even more valuable was that due to its nurturing-type essence it was quite literally possible to help bronze humans saturate their bronze cells.
Readying them for further steps up the racial evolution line, plus more active bronze cells meant higher-quality racial skills and traits, the embodiment of infinite potential became even more terrifying.
Calling this a gold mine was an understatement, this was a resource worthy of starting a war over, this could literally provide humans a whole batch of invincible soldiers.
Seth was so excited he was literally wagging his massive tail, practically buzzing with excitement as he observed the fluid more carefully.
His will pulsed through the cave, and Seth did find there to be a heap of precious metals and gems in the far distance, deeper into the cave, way beyond the small lake of floating dragon eggs.
But he wasn’t interested, while things like gems, gold, and other level-0 metals and minerals weren’t completely useless to humans, it wasn’t worth the hassle to Seth.
If it were more precious metals he might have bothered...
"But that’s weird if my memory serves me right. Ember pulse crystals should be found in regions of extreme heat or flames..." Seth muttered in wonder.
As a blacksmith, researching on ores was a must though it was a task he did sparingly, he tried to educate himself with the oracle orb from time to time, so that treasures would never pass him by and he would always be able to recognize vital rare mineral veins.
But now it seemed that knowledge wasn’t matching up. "Could it be because this is a pocket dimension?" Seth mused considering whether to summon the oracle and ask.
But in the end he shook his head, deciding against it, that might just pull him down a spiral of absorbing knowledge and possibly tracking even more valuables that there wasn’t time for.
And if anything, Seth would rather remain in ignorance if not his greedy ass would refuse to leave this place empty-handed.
Turning his attention back to the swirling pond of molten flames, greed radiating off him, as he leaned his frame forward raising a claw.
With a fine control of will he opened up a small spatial pathway connected to the inventory bound to his soul...
Licking his lip he whispered, "Let’s see if this will work."
With that he plunged the claw down into the pool, and the mini vacuum generated by the lack of air on the other end of the inventory gate instantly translated into a suction force draining the fluid.
Seth smiled greedily, fortunately it worked! This way not only would his extraction be faster, but he would also be able to take several vats worth of the fluid without having to worry about a vessel.
Fortunately the inventory space was absent of light, air or even time or gravity, merely a branded piece of reality that contained space.
Nothing more, nothing less...
Within a few seconds the pool levels began to drop, prompting Seth’s frame to lean lower to get a better reach, as the spatial pathway had remained submerged for it to work.
Seth threw a covetous glance to the drifting dragon eggs, naturally he wasn’t considering taking some to hatch as that would defeat the whole point of trying to drive the flame dragons to extinction.
A small dribble streamed down his chin, ’Damn, I wonder how a dragon’s egg would taste.’ Hunger gnawed at him, ’I bet it’s gonna be nutritious as hell.’
But despite having these thoughts Seth still didn’t reach for one, he was uncertain, what if he poached one and the system refused to acknowledge the flame dragons as completely extinct?
He was actually still worried that eradicating the flame dragons might still not count for the system, after all according to Seth’s knowledge there were at least three other types of dragons inhabiting other regions.
What if they had to slay all types of dragons before it counts? One couldn’t fathom by which scale the system used to measure what it deemed a race.
Though he was predisposed to believe that its judging method was clear, after all it did have an allocated race section in the status page and it labelled him human, not a primate, so that was pretty clear.
Regardless one couldn’t be too certain...
Seth blinked looking down to see that the pool had dipped beyond his reach and it was still obviously too far from finishing.
Seth retracted his claw and closed the inventory pathway, stepping back to examine the pool level more carefully.
’Now this is a problem.’ he lamented inwardly, by the looks of things, this pool was deep, very much deep, and though his limbs were massive, its reach was evidently limited.
Seth couldn’t just hop into the pond, who knew how deep that thing was? With his mass paddling on the surface would be a very bad idea.
And he wasn’t sure if even the glyph dragon instincts would be of any help if he dared leap into the pool, it was a dilemma.
How would he get more of the substance? If he was in his human form getting it would be quite easy, not only would he be able to swim, he could quickly craft a few large vats from the molten metals drifting all around the cave.
But in this form his options were limited, not only that his time was also limited...
[Warning! Host Being is too fragile to maintain Embodiment! Transformation will end in: 2m:22s]
There was only so much time he could waste sitting around calculating the best method to loot this place dry.
He had to come up with something quickly...
Just as he was racking his mind calculating possible methods of extracting more of the fluid, or even possibly abandoning it totally, he felt a scratching itch at the back of his throat and an idea struck.
"That could work!" His eyes lit up like sparking bulbs in the dull glow of the surroundings. He licked his lips, bracing himself, he moved a bit further back, coiled his wings in even smaller, and his chest heaved heavily. His maws snapped open, and with a massive exhale, he took a very deep breath.
