[Warning! Due To Rapid Decline of Divine Energy, Equipped Divine Weapon Has Been Dismissed in order to sustain divine dragon transformation...]

"Wait, doesn’t that mean?" Seth muttered in a low growl, his head swinging towards the golden female knight.

The summon began to fade, dispersing into brilliant motes of light, but sensing her end drawing close she bowed towards Seth. "It was an honor to serve you my liege."

A flicker of gratitude stirred in Seth; regardless of the outcome, this being had been of help, and if anything, she deserved to at least have her name known...

His maw parted in an attempt to ask, "What is your name soldier?" but all that he could relay was a low growl, fortunately his will wore down the issue of a language barrier before it could even be a problem.

The knight’s voice brightened, almost excited, as she bowed lower, "It’s an honor for my liege to request, you can call this lowly one Ruyishi..."

Seth registered the name to memory, "Ruyishi... Thank you."

The summon remained silent not out of choice but because the last trace of her existence had faded away, the construct returning to the pages it came from as the divine tome pulsed right out of the void.

The book snapping shut and fading right back into his inventory...

Seth’s head rose back up, scanning through rows and rows of glistening glowing golden dragon cocoons.

Right now he stood before two options, he could either take his time to kill all these dragons or at least destroy the two great dragons, before they could shed out of whatever process they had been forced into.

Seth had so much power coursing through his veins right now, nothing would be stopping him from making this choice...

But that wasn’t his aim in being here, it was never his aim...

Without hesitation Seth decided to fly for the second option, go to the core and install the device as he was always meant to do.

His massive wings burst into motion, carrying his absurdly large frame right into the air, Seth began to fly right into the distance, following the routed map by memory.

He fell straight towards a specific direction, at a fairly quick pace, his obsidian scales catching the glinting reflections of the fiery plains below.

As he passed he came across rows and clusters of glowing golden cocoons, seeing all these, Seth felt suspicious, could this be related to why the dragons seemed so obsessed with buying time?

Were they undergoing a mass transformation of sorts?

’Well, that’s disappointing,’ he thought.

After all if that was the case, didn’t that rule out the possibility of treasure? He had assumed the dragons were hoarding some kind of treasure trove at the core, hence why they were so defensive.

Regardless, Seth still held onto a sliver of hope, maybe he might find something there after all, these were dragons.

And didn’t the stereotype speak about dragons liking to hoard treasures? That had to have at least some sort of truth to it right?

A few minutes passed as Seth fully embraced the feeling of gliding through the skies, guided by the glyph dragon’s innate instinct, getting a hold of this dragon body wasn’t really that hard.

And finally here he was, flying so high he could already see the rocky ceiling of the underground plain, Seth spotted a high crimson mountain range, flaming mountains clustered high.

Acting like a natural fence to the core.

Finally Seth had arrived at his destination relatively early and easily, Seth wondered, were the dragons actually only hindering his advance because of this weird state they were in?

’Shit, I fucking knew it, there’s no way they could have discerned our true purpose!’ Seth muttered silently, as he glided downwards towards the open, defenceless core.

This was too fucking easy, if he had known this beforehand, he would have timed their mission perfectly, cause clearly he wouldn’t be able to stop whatever changes were happening, and besides, if their mission was successful it wouldn’t matter what the dragon had achieved.

They might have ascended to godhood for all he cared, but once the nuke went off there would be no surviving it.

These bombs being installed weren’t your regular post-origin explosives, these were dangerous, essence-merged chemical brews.

According to the president, if things went according to plan the ruckus they would muster would be akin to the force of an exploding star!

Normally an explosion like that happening on Earth would be detrimental, but by harnessing the pocket dimension loophole, the world would find it easy to protect itself by directly severing all connection to this sub-dimension.

The ground rattled, as Seth landed, all four massive claws practically digging trenches into the scorched plain.

Before Seth stood a massive cocoon, of the same size and quality to the two great dragons he had left behind...

"This should be the peeping tom." Seth recognized the sneaky dragon that pried from afar, probably the one directing this whole thing from the start, the one calling the shot.

A sneaky bastard indeed...

Rising tall, Seth’s tail flicked, standing on three legs instead of four, Seth gently outstretched the fourth leg in a human manner, space warping between his frightening claws, as a relatively small device bled into reality, landing delicately in his grasp.

A truly small object in comparison to a dragon, not to mention it was light too... one would find it hard to believe this was a weapon fashioned to push an entire race to extinction.

Seth’s mind remained sharp with clarity, as he proceeded to gently place the device at the location with the most concentration of flame essence.

The atmosphere so hot that if any of his division members were here, they would have been instantly engulfed in flames, their fluids boiling and evaporating out of their bodies within seconds.

Without the dexterity and fine control of the human hands, it cost Seth quite a few extra seconds and a few times of fumbling before he was able to properly install the device in place.

It made Seth grateful that there wasn’t any distraction, because holding back his strength in order not to mistakenly crush the device dooming himself was hard enough, he couldn’t imagine trying to install this device while also fighting off the enemy.

But regardless he was done... just like that.

"So easy..." Seth sighed helplessly once more, before his eyes began to roam... he couldn’t just leave here empty-handed, now could he?

It was time to get some loot.
