Infinite Disasters: I Hoarded My Way to Godhood
Chapter 408: Foodification
Chapter 408: Chapter 408: Foodification
Seraphina Sullivan watched Nightmare Damian, who was screaming in agony as his "hand" was twisted by her Power, his face a mask of incredulous terror.
Seraphina Sullivan spoke slowly.
Her voice was calm, yet it carried a bone-chilling coldness. "Why have you appeared before me now?"
Her voice suddenly rose, a fierce light erupting in her eyes.
"Did you come here looking for a beating?!"
"Do you have any idea... just how long I’ve waited for this day?!!"
The moment the words left her lips, within Seraphina Sullivan’s eyes.
Her [Demon Eyes] Talent was fully activated!
A demonic, dark-red light surged forth as if it were tangible.
It stained her entire iris a shade of blood-red.
Between her brows, the phantom image of the [Crimson Gemstone] also appeared automatically.
It resonated with the Power of the [Demon Eyes].
The golden tips of Seraphina Sullivan’s hair.
Now seemed to ignite under the dual effect of the [Demon Eyes] and the [Crimson Gemstone], glowing with a gorgeous yet dangerous blood-red luster!
Facing the "slap" from Nightmare Damian, which was once again swinging toward her, filled with endless venom and curses...
Seraphina Sullivan didn’t even bother to dodge.
She simply raised a hand, pointing her index finger at the "nightmare hand" in mid-air.
[Magic Cuisine] Talent, activate!
"CRACK—"
An extremely faint, yet crystal-clear, crisp sound!
Nightmare Damian’s "hand"—formed from pure malice and just about to strike Seraphina Sullivan’s face...
...at the very instant it touched the invisible Force Field before her fingertip...
...actually shattered and disintegrated inch by inch, like the cheapest Sugar Frosting!
Moreover, the shattered pieces truly transformed into crumbling bits, like low-quality candy glittering with a dark-red sheen as they rustled to the ground!
"AHHH! My hand! My hand!!"
Nightmare Damian let out an even more shrill and realistic scream.
He clutched his "severed wrist," which was turning into "candy fragments" as the effect spread upward.
His face was filled with extreme pain and fear.
But Seraphina Sullivan didn’t pause for a second.
She didn’t even use any flashy Skills; she just went for the simplest, most direct approach—
She raised her leg and kicked!
"THUMP!!"
A muffled sound!
Nightmare Damian’s seemingly solid body, constructed from nightmare Energy, under Seraphina Sullivan’s kick...
...was like a fragile sugar sculpture struck by a heavy hammer. It exploded violently, starting from the waist where she had kicked it!
It turned into a sky full of flying "nightmare candy" fragments laced with dark-red patterns!
"AAAAAAAAAH—!!!!!!!!!"
This time, the scream reached an unprecedented peak!
Nightmare Damian’s final scream was filled with unwillingness, venom, and the ultimate terror!
The louder the scream echoed through the banquet hall, the brighter Seraphina Sullivan’s expression became, even... taking on a pathologically excited flush!
"Heheheh... HAHAHAHA!"
She couldn’t help but let out a low laugh, a laugh filled with glee and relief.
"Listening to this sound... it’s truly wonderful!"
This scene not only jolted Clayton Quinn, Ironhide, and the others from the shock of their own nightmares, causing them to stare this way, dumbfounded...
...but it also made the smiles on the faces of Dex and the few nightmare-faction Players beside him—who had been certain of their victory—freeze completely. Their eyes widened like saucers, their jaws nearly hitting the floor!
The black-haired "Eureka" also raised her eyebrows slightly, a flicker of surprise and... amusement in her eyes.
Dex looked at Seraphina Sullivan’s excited expression, then at the spot on the ground where the remnants of "Nightmare Damian" had completely dissipated, leaving only a faint wisp of black smoke.
A thousand giant question marks seemed to pop up over his head as he spiraled into confusion and self-doubt.
"??????"
’The one I summoned... what the hell, was that really her ’nightmare’?!’
’This reaction... why does it feel like she’s on stimulants?!’
’This isn’t how the script is supposed to go!!!’
After dealing with her disgusting yet incredibly "stress-relieving" nightmare father...
...the crimson in Seraphina Sullivan’s eyes did not fade.
Instead, it grew even more intense and demonic due to the emotional turmoil and the surge of Power.
She slowly turned her head, her crimson pupils locking onto Dex across from her like searchlights, his expression shifting rapidly.
The corners of her lips curved into a cold, dangerous arc.
Seraphina Sullivan’s voice wasn’t loud, but it cut clearly through the nightmare’s howls and the distant chaos.
It carried a heart-pounding sense of mockery and pressure.
"Summoning nightmares? Playing with people’s fears?"
"Well... I wonder if I might have the honor of becoming *your* ’nightmare,’ Mr. Dex?"
Stared down by those crimson eyes and hearing this blatant provocation and sarcasm...
...Dex’s body trembled slightly, uncontrollably, as a chill shot up his spine.
’How does she know my name?’
But he was immediately enraged by his own momentary cowardice, especially in front of his teammates and his "God."
"Heh... HAHAHA!"
He forced himself to let out an exaggerated, cold laugh, trying to cover up his wavering resolve.
"Such arrogance! I am one of the noble Nightmare God’s Favored!"
"In the domain ruled by dreams and fear, I am the strongest!"
"You think that just by dealing with your inner demon, you can defy the authority of the Nightmare? How naive!"
Perhaps truly sensing the threat posed by Seraphina Sullivan, Dex stopped being arrogant, a harsh glint flashing in his eyes.
He shoved his hands forward violently and began chanting an obscure incantation.
The nightmares that had been tangling with Clayton Quinn, Ironhide, Joy Hughes, and Lamb all let out sharp hisses at the same time.
They abandoned their original targets, like puppets receiving an absolute command.
In perfect unison, they turned and lunged at Seraphina Sullivan, carrying a dense wave of malice and negative Energy!
Not only that, but several more rifts tore open in the black mist churning behind him.
More Low Rank Nightmare Minions, their forms even more twisted and indistinct, emerged roaring.
They merged into the torrent of nightmares, a filthy black tide vowing to completely submerge Seraphina Sullivan.
"Seraphina, watch out!"
Ironhide shouted anxiously at the sight, trying to break free from the sluggish state the nightmare had induced and rush over.
Clayton Quinn’s shadow ropes rapidly retracted.
He tried to intercept some of the nightmares, but there were too many, and they seemed to have developed a certain resistance to the shadow bindings, which were of a similar origin.
The pitch of Joy Hughes’s piano music rose sharply, turning into piercing sound waves in an attempt to disrupt them, but the effect was limited.
Only Lamb was still apparently lost in his own nightmare illusion of "being made into roasted lamb chops."
His eyes were unfocused as he muttered under his breath, "No... don’t... my meat is gamey, it doesn’t taste good... I don’t want to become the main course..."
Facing Dex’s all-out counterattack—an overwhelming army of nightmares formed from the inner fears and pure malice of others...
