Infinite Ascension: The Chronicles Of The Infinite One
Chapter 59: New Home
Chapter 59: Chapter 59: New Home
After Edward left, the maids and butlers escorted the top 20 rankers to flying cars destined for their new residences. Aeon relaxed in the backseat of his vehicle while his assigned butler took the driver’s seat.
"Sir, my name is Leon Stone," the butler introduced himself, adjusting the controls. "I will be your personal butler from here on out, responsible for managing your estate. Your residence is designated as FI05, which stands for Flying Island Number 05. The estate features multiple functional areas, including a training room and a specialized cultivation chamber. You can access more detailed information via the wrist guard in your bedroom."
"Mm," Aeon offered a brief nod, his attention already shifting inward. He brought up Seraphina’s status window.
’System, show me the descriptions for her special talent, physique, and bloodline,’ Aeon commanded mentally.
[Special Talent: Space-Time Sovereign](Divine)
[Description: A supreme talent that grants its wielder dominion over the fundamental laws of space and time, allowing them to manipulate both Concepts with ease.]
[Effect 1:Space-Time Authority — Freely manipulate, distort, and control the laws of space and time.]
[Effect 2: Temporal Sovereignty — Resist temporal effects and maintain your state against changes to your personal timeline.]
[Effect 3: Space-Time Perception — Perceive spatial distortions, temporal fluctuations, and the flow of time with extraordinary clarity.]
[Physique: Heaven-Fallen Physique](Divine)
[Description:A divine physique born from the fusion of heavenly and fallen Divinities, allowing the wielder to harmonize opposing divinities without conflict.]
[Effect 1: Divine Rebirth — Rapidly recover from severe injuries by converting surrounding energy into vital force]
[Effect 2: Heaven-Fallen Harmony — Freely wield both holy and dark energies/Divinities without rejection or interference.]
[Effect 3: Heavenly Ruin — Unleashes a destructive force that combines the purity of Heaven with the corruption of the Fallen.]
[Bloodline: Celestial Duality Bloodline](Ex)
[Description: A bloodline carrying the opposing powers of Heaven and the Fallen, granting its wielder exceptional compatibility with both divine and dark forces.]
[Effect 1: Dual Celestial Authority — Command both heavenly and fallen energies as naturally as one’s own.] 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂
[Effect 2:Dual Celestial Core — Maintain and cultivate both holy and dark energies simultaneously.]
Aeon browsed through the descriptions, a satisfied smile playing on his lips. However, the second effect of her special talent caught his eye, sparking a train of thought.
’If she can resist temporal effects specifically targeting her personal timeline, does that mean she underwent the regression herself? Most likely. If not, whoever pulled her back through time must be terrifyingly powerful.’
Aeon pondered the implications for a moment before pushing the thought aside. He needed more time before diving deep into the concepts of Space and Time.
Just comprehending the laws of his own affinities—especially Death and Nihility—demanded immense focus. Space and Time, particularly the latter, would undoubtedly be just as grueling.
Five minutes later, the flying car smoothly decelerated, pulling up to a private road that led directly to an enormous, futuristic villa. Dazzling geometric lights traced its sleek architecture. Massive double doors stood at the front entrance, flanked by two guards clad in high-tech Nano armor.
As they approached the entrance, the armored guards bowed respectfully and triggered the doors to slide open.
The exterior was magnificent. A pristine water fountain served as the centerpiece of a lush indoor garden filled with vibrant, exotic flora.
Leon stepped out and opened the door for Aeon. He then led Aeon through a spacious hall adorned with luxury furniture. The sprawling three-story layout made it abundantly clear just how much privilege the top 3 rankers enjoyed.
"Well then, sir. This is the main estate," Leon said, offering a polite bow. "I will be at your disposal whenever you need me. I will reside in the adjacent staff quarters and perform my duties to the best of my ability. I look forward to serving you." With that, the butler stepped back and closed the doors, leaving Aeon to explore his new domain.
The villa boasted 20 rooms. Among them were two massive training halls and five specialized cultivation chambers. These chambers were heavily reinforced with ancient formations, runes, and magic circles designed to gather, purify, and accelerate the absorption of raw energy. The house also included two fully automated, top-tier kitchens, a massive swimming pool in the backyard, and various luxury amenities.
Heading to the top floor, Aeon claimed the largest master bedroom. Sitting at the foot of the bed was a sleek metallic container with a small note attached: [Reward Box for the Top Ranker].
Aeon tapped the central interface of the container. The mechanical box hissed open, and four spheres of condensed light floated into the air, suspending themselves above the chest.
Whoosh!
Aeon reached out and touched the first sphere. With a soft pop, a set of armor materialized.
"An Epic-rank armor," Aeon murmured, assessing its quality. "While it doesn’t quite match my current personal standard, it’s still a top-tier item for the Mortal Realm. The academy must be incredibly resourceful to hand these out so freely to the top ranker."
Though Aeon was mildly impressed by the academy’s generosity, his 100x Return System rewards from Sophia, Alex, and Damian had already granted him Divine-rank armors. Still, free loot was free loot. He waved his hand, storing the armor away into his inventory.
He touched the second sphere. A small, ornate wooden box materialized. Popping the latch, he found a round, vibrant green pill engraved with intricate spiritual patterns.
"A Unique-rank pill. Only a 4-star Alchemist or higher could refine this," Aeon noted, recognizing its properties. "A Lifeweaver Pill. Excellent for instantly restoring health and vitality." He then stashed the pill away and tapped the remaining two floating lights simultaneously.
Pop! Pop!
A leather-bound book and a sleek purple card dropped into his hands. The book’s cover read Earthshatter Sword Art, while the card was stamped with the stylized letters AP.
Aeon flipped through the manual. His mind processed all 40 pages within a minute, perfectly memorizing and comprehending the techniques within.
"An Earth-rank sword technique," Aeon said, closing the book. "And this card must contain Academy Points. I’ll check the balance shortly."
In the Mortal Realm, martial techniques were divided into distinct tiers: Mortal → Earth → Heaven → Sacred → Saint → Transcendent, with each tier split into low, mid, high, and peak levels. Aeon already possessed thousands of techniques across all ranks, but as he stood there, his mind involuntarily began dissecting the Earthshatter Sword Art, subtly optimizing its concepts and elevating its latent rank.
Finally, Aeon picked up the standard-issue academy arm guard sitting on the bedside table. It was a sleek, dark-metallic piece featuring sharp angular plating, silver accents, and glowing cyan energy lines.
It was a solid B-rank item. However, the personal arm guard Aeon wore—obtained through a 100x return—was an Ex-rank item.
Aeon activated his own wrist guard, allowing a beam of blue light to scan the academy-issued device.
"Scan completed. Data transferred successfully. New functions unlocked. Do you wish to access the new database, Master?" a refined, mechanical female voice echoed from his wrist.
"Yes, Iris," Aeon replied.
A crisp holographic display projected above his left wrist. The newly synchronized data contained everything regarding the academy’s curriculum, faculties, strict disciplinary rules, classes, and student clubs.
Aeon spent the next three minutes scanning the regulations. Satisfied, he logged into his newly created student account to finalize his class schedule. When it came to choosing an extracurricular club, he bypassed the professional faculties and selected the Blacksmithing department.
Since he couldn’t publicly reveal his monstrous Alchemy skills without drawing unwanted attention, he figured establishing a reputation as a prodigy Blacksmith would be the perfect cover.
With his administrative tasks sorted, Aeon closed the hologram and headed straight for the en-suite bathroom. After a long, rejuvenating hot bath to wash away the nonexistent fatigue of the trials, he walked out and sank into the luxurious king-sized bed.
"Huuuh. Much better," Aeon sighed, closing his eyes as the plush mattress conformed to his body. "Nothing beats a long, hot bath after a long day."
He paused for a moment as he looked at the ceiling. "The classes start the day after tomorrow. I can’t wait to explore what the academy has to offer." Aeon said with excitement before he closed his eyes and fell into a good night’s sleep.
-------
The next day, Aeon woke up, his cosmic eyes slowly opening. He then looked around and greeted his invisible companions.
"Good morning, guys. Good morning, Emma." Aeon smiled at Emma, who had enjoyed a very long vacation during the last five years, and the spirits of his affinities.
"Good morning too, Master," the spirits replied respectfully.
What surprised Aeon was, ’How the hell can Emma see them and not be afraid of these spirits?’
Two days after he got out of the Omniverse Dimension, he contacted Emma, and when she came to him, she was able to see the spirits of his affinities. Even more surprising, she didn’t show any fear or inferiority toward them.
Although they were called spirits, they were not just some ordinary spirits. They were the spirits of Infinite-rank concepts. Even elements like ice and lightning were no longer just elements at the Infinite rank, but Concepts.
He had asked about it at the time, but she didn’t know the reason either. Even the other spirits were confused.
’Well, as long as they can coexist with each other. And thanks to her cheerful personality, they all get along.’
Aeon shook the thoughts out of his head and prepared for the Student Orientation. At the moment, it was 5:00 AM, so he had enough time to prepare.
With that, Aeon took a shower and washed up properly. He then made breakfast for himself and dressed in the academy uniform that had been prepared beforehand and placed in his closet.
It was a sleek black futuristic uniform with silver accents, a high collar, a fitted design, glowing cyan lines, and the academy’s emblem prominently displayed on the chest.
The Academy emblem was a silver crest featuring an eight-pointed star against a dark blue, star-filled sky like constellatios, with crescent moons above and on both sides, and a banner below reading "NEXUS ACADEMY."
"Nice."
After combing his hair into a ponytail, he looked at his reflection in the mirror. Satisfied with his appearance, he headed toward the door of his room.
He first closed the door shut and then channeled normal cosmic energy. He was doing what Edward had done. This whole building had a teleportation function that allowed him to teleport to various locations inside the Academy.
Right now, he was going directly to the hall where the Student Orientation was taking place. He had already memorized the coordinates of the hall, and with that thought in mind, a teleportation gate opened behind the door.
With a click, Aeon opened the door, and a purple gate appeared on the other side. He then looked at his spirits and smiled.
"Shall we go, then?" With that, Aeon stepped through the gate, disappearing from the room.
