Incubus Lord: Lust Harem System
Chapter 347: Dragon Meets Tiger
Chapter 347: Chapter 347: Dragon Meets Tiger
The arena floor had been replaced overnight.
Diamond-steel plating gleamed under the afternoon sun, each interlocking plate etched with reinforcement runes that pulsed with a soft blue light.
The plating covered every inch of the combat surface, designed to withstand the Quarterfinal impacts.
One million fans packed the Great Solaris Arena.
They filled the stands, the balconies, the rooftop viewing platforms. They hung over the railings and screamed until their voices cracked.
"WHITE TIGER! WHITE TIGER!"
"AZURE DRAGON! AZURE DRAGON!"
The chants battled each other across the colosseum.
Damon stood in the Azure Dragon dugout, his arms crossed, his golden eyes fixed on the arena floor. Seraphina stood at the edge of the barrier, her hand resting on the Tempest Azure Blade’s hilt.
Her lime-green hair swayed in a breeze that didn’t exist.
She was calm.
Too calm.
Damon watched her shoulders. They were relaxed. Her breathing was steady. Her emerald eyes scanned the White Tiger dugout across the arena.
She was reading them.
Grand Marshal Vane’s voice boomed across the colosseum.
"QUARTERFINAL MATCH ONE! AZURE DRAGON SECT VERSUS WHITE TIGER SECT!"
The crowd exploded.
"FIGHTER ONE, STEP FORWARD!"
The White Tiger dugout’s door slammed open.
A mountain of muscle and fur stomped onto the arena floor.
He was massive. Two and a half meters tall. His shoulders were as wide as a carriage. His arms were thicker than Damon’s torso. Twin cleavers hung from each hand, the blades glowing with blood-red runes.
He roared.
The sound shook the diamond-steel plating.
The crowd answered with a deafening cheer.
"THAT’S THE BEAR-BLOODED BRUTE! THEY CALL HIM GORAK THE BONE-BREAKER!"
Damon’s eyes narrowed.
Gorak stomped forward, each step cracking the reinforced plating beneath his boots. He dragged the cleavers behind him, the blades carving grooves into the diamond-steel.
Sparks flew.
The crowd went wild.
Seraphina didn’t flinch.
She stepped onto the arena floor.
Her boots touched the diamond-steel. She walked forward, her pace unhurried, her hand resting on the Tempest Azure Blade’s hilt.
Gorak grinned through his tusks.
"Little girl," he rumbled. "I’m going to split you in half."
Seraphina stopped ten meters from him.
She drew her blade.
The Tempest Azure Blade sang as it left its sheath. Azure light rippled along its edge. Wind coiled around the blade, carrying the scent of ozone and rain.
"Try," she said.
Gorak charged.
His cleavers came down in a double overhead swing that would have crushed a boulder.
Seraphina stepped to the side.
The cleavers slammed into the diamond-steel, sending cracks spiderwebbing across the plating. The impact shook the entire arena.
Seraphina didn’t look at the damage.
She flowed around the next swing like water around a stone.
Gorak’s cleavers carved through the air where she had been standing. He overcorrected, stumbling forward.
Seraphina’s blade moved.
Azure wind sliced across his chest.
The cut was shallow. It wasn’t meant to kill.
It was meant to test.
Gorak howled and spun around, his cleavers coming in a horizontal arc that would have bisected her.
Seraphina ducked under the swing.
She rose inside his guard.
Her blade flashed.
Three cuts appeared on his arms. His grip on the cleavers loosened.
Gorak roared in frustration.
"STAND STILL!"
Seraphina smiled.
It was a cold smile.
She stepped back and raised her blade.
"Thunder Fang."
Her Azure Dragon Bloodline ignited.
Lightning coiled around her arm, then her blade, then her entire body. The Tempest Azure Blade hummed with power.
She thrust.
The lightning bolt struck Gorak square in the chest.
His body seized. His muscles locked. His eyes rolled back as the electrical current surged through his nervous system, bypassing his beast-grade resilience entirely.
He collapsed.
The arena went silent.
Then it erupted.
"AZURE DRAGON! AZURE DRAGON!"
Grand Marshal Vane’s voice cut through the noise.
"AZURE DRAGON SECT LEADS 1-0!"
Seraphina stood over Gorak’s twitching body, her blade still humming with residual lightning.
She turned to face the White Tiger dugout.
"Next."
The White Tiger dugout was quiet.
Then two figures emerged.
They moved like shadows. Lean, agile, with panther-like features and claws that glowed with poison. They circled Seraphina from opposite directions, their movements synchronized.
Twins.
Seraphina adjusted her grip on the Tempest Azure Blade.
The panther twins attacked simultaneously.
One lunged from the front, claws extended. The other circled behind, aiming for her spine.
Seraphina’s eyes flashed.
She planted her feet and raised her free hand.
"Azure Vortex."
The air around her exploded outward.
A wind vortex erupted from her body, spinning in a cyclone that caught both panther twins mid-lunge. They tumbled through the air, their claws scraping uselessly against the gale.
Seraphina moved.
She flowed through the vortex like it was part of her.
Her blade came down on the first twin’s temple.
Pommel strike.
The twin went limp.
She spun and caught the second twin in the ribs with a pommel strike that sent her crashing into the barrier.
The twin slid down the barrier, unconscious.
Silence.
Then the crowd exploded.
"AZURE DRAGON! AZURE DRAGON! AZURE DRAGON!"
Grand Marshal Vane’s voice boomed across the colosseum.
"AZURE DRAGON SECT LEADS 3-0!"
Damon watched from the dugout, a small smile on his lips.
Seraphina stood in the center of the arena, her blade held low, her lime-green hair whipping in the wind.
She turned to face the White Tiger dugout.
"Send the next one."
The White Tiger dugout was silent.
Tora stood at the entrance, her amber eyes burning with fury.
She stepped forward.
But the tournament officials held her back.
"Captain cannot fight until Fighter 4," the official said.
Tora’s claws extended.
"I know the rules."
She sat back down.
Seraphina waited.
The crowd chanted her name.
Damon watched the White Tiger dugout. They were regrouping. They were planning something.
He didn’t care.
Seraphina had made her statement.
Three fighters down. Four to go.
The next White Tiger fighter stepped onto the arena floor.
A woman with silver-white hair and tiger-striped arms. She carried a spear that crackled with lightning.
She met Seraphina’s gaze.
"I’m not going down as easily as they did."
Seraphina raised her blade.
"Then don’t."
The woman charged.
Lightning met wind.
The arena shook.
Damon watched, his hand resting on the Chaos Devourer’s hilt.
The battle was far from over.
