Immortality Starts With Selling Pills
Chapter 69: The First Day Of Sales
Chapter 69: Chapter 69: The First Day Of Sales
Derrick woke up to the sound of faint collisions in the distance.
What time is it? He rubbed his eyes and stretched his arms.
He turned around and saw the front door of the house was open and panicked.
At first he thought that he had forgotten to lock the door yesterday.
Thud!
But then the distant sounds came back.
Curious, Derrick walke out to see Cassandra lying on the ground with trail of blood dripping from the corner of her eyes.
Standing before her was Keira who had her arms crossed and looked at her with unimpressed look in her eyes.
"Did Derrick not teach you even the basics? How come you are so bad at fighting?" Derrick felt the corner of his mouth twitch hearing her speak such ruthless words so casually.
"What’s happening?" He could not help but ask.
The answer came from the side.
"Derrick, thank god you are here. You should stop your sister." Rebecca cried for Derrick’s help.
She had her face covered with one hand. Her heart felt like someone had squeezed it seeing her daughter in such a state.
Her body was covered in cuts and bruises. She looked no different from how he did after being injured by Kenny.
"Can you tell me what happened?" Instead of interrupting instantly, Derrick asked suppressing the worry he was feeling.
Rebecca hurriedly explained how she woke up and saw Cassie fighting Keira from her window and came to stop her but no matter what she said Cassie refused to listen to her.
"What is her reason to fight?" Derrick turned to Keira without raising his voice.
He knew she was more than capable of hearing it.
"She wants to become strong. I am just obliging her wishes." Keira did not take her eyes off the girl and added, "To truly become strong you have learn how to take a beating."
Cassie forced herself to stand up.
She glanced at Derrick from the corner of her eyes, worried that Derrick try to stop her like her mother.
But much to her surprise, Derrick did not move an inch.
"Derrick?" Rebecca asked in confusion. "Why are you not stopping her? She will get hurt."
"This is her decision and I respect that. If she had decided to take that path, all I can do is accompany her." Derrick’s words left Rebecca stunned but it gave Cassie hope.
She saw him smiling at her encouragingly.
"Besides she will get hurt eventually, that is life. Better be prepared than be caught off guard." He gave Rebecca an assuring smile and said, "Besides I have some good healing pills. Even if she is badly injured, she will heal instantly."
Rebecca did not know why but instead of being reassured that smile sent a shiver down her spine.
And his next words proved her suspicions.
"Why don’t you join her as well."
Yeah, no I am not a masochist. Black lines appeared on her face as she started at her son dumbfoundedly.
Seeing her lack of response, Derrick shrugged and turned back to the fight.
He saw Cassie charging recklessly and instantly saw the outcome before it happened.
Keira slapped her fist away and drove a punch straight through her stomach.
"I gave the same task to your brother before he became my student."
"When he smacked your ass?" Cassie snapped instantly, frustrated. She wanted to use anything to hurt her at this time.
But Derrick silently shook his head and prayed for her.
He even secretly took out his phone and started recording.
"Indeed." Keira was not even slightest embarrassed while admitting that fact. "He could do that because he is capable. Unlike him, you have no control over your body."
She dodged the incoming fist and pulled her hand towards her when she overreached and flipped her on the ground, "Your balance if off and your core is shaky."
Derrick minimized the recorder as he noticed several notifications on his phone.
Most of them were notifications about his pills beings sold.
But a few stood out.
{Transcendent Delivery: Please note that your stock in the Handy Warehouse has been completely sold out.}
{Bank Notice:- Suspicious activity has been noticed on your account. It has been suspended till further notice.}
"Motherfu—"
Derrick almost cursed out loud before he read the next message.
{Bank Notice:- All the inquiries have been cleared. We apologize for any inconvenience.}
Well. No harm done, I guess. Derrick shrugged nad read the final message.
[You have received one Review on Myriad Pill Palace.}
Myriad Pill Palace was the name of his site and business.
It had been only one night. Not only did he sell all the stock he had, he had also gotten a review.
And it was a positive one as well.
User0001: I am a Tiger!!!!! I give this pill 50 stars out of 5. When can I get more of this stuff? I wanted to buy everything but I noticed sold out notice by the time I was done using one pill. I have my credit card ready. Please release as soon as possible.
Derrick red the comment and did not know what to feel.
He closed it and opened the banking application.
[Balance: 199,766 SC]
For a moment, Derrick did not know what to think.
Only after he blinked several times and glancing at Cassie being beaten up did he manage to make himself believe that he was not dreaming and it was reality.
Money well spent on promotions. Wait... I did not spend any.
Derrick giggled to himself making Rebecca worry about her both children.
Where did I go wrong? One child likes to be beaten up and the other is laughing to himself.
With a blank look in her eyes, she turned around and walked inside.
"I will go prepare breakfast, come back once you are done."
Derrick nodded, half listening to her words.
To think I nearly made 60 percent in sheer profits over one night.
Then, he proceeded to do that any amateur merchant would do. Derrick bought double the amount of pills as before and added the numbers in his stock.
Vroom!
He could hear the sound of money falling into his hands from the distance.
What a wonderful day to have decent amount of money again.
