Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Mischievous Side Of Cassie

They ended up talking for hours. Derrick did not even realize how time had passed and it was already night.

By the time Derrick glanced at the wall clock, it was almost midnight.

He bade Keira goodnight and quietly left the hospital suite.

Instead of heading back to his warehouse, he decided to go back to his house for once.

The place was completely dark and silent when he arrived.

He unlocked the front door as smoothly as possible.

He slipped inside without making a sound, careful not to wake anyone up.

He made his way to his room and noticed Cassie was already fast asleep, wearing a thin nightgown.

A faint smile appeared on his face as he carefully adjusted. Her blanket, then he kicked off his shoes, and sank onto his small single bed.

He closed his eyes and drifted off almost immediately.

The next morning, Derrick woke up feeling like he was being suffocated.

A heavy weight was crushing his chest.

His ribs felt squeezed, and he could barely turn his head.

For a second, his battle instincts flared, thinking an enemy had snuck into his room.

He forced his eyes open and looked down.

It wasn’t an attacker.

It was Cassie.

She was lying right on top of him, squeezed into his narrow single bed.

Her arms were locked tightly around his torso, and her legs were completely tangled with his.

She was wrapped around him like an octopus, fast asleep and breathing softly against his shoulder.

Derrick carefully tried to pry her arms off his waist.

She was holding on remarkably tight for someone fast asleep.

As he tried to shift her weight, the thin silk strap of her nightgown slipped completely off her shoulder.

The soft fabric pulled down way past her chest.

Derrick looked down and froze.

"Damn it..." he muttered under his breath.

Her pale skin was completely exposed down to her waist.

The loose gown revealed the full, soft curve of her left breast, tipped with a delicate, rose-pink peak.

Because of the cool morning air in the bedroom, her small nipple had turned completely hard, standing out sharply against her pale skin.

Derrick swallowed hard, his heart slamming against his ribs.

Fuck, wake up and cover yourself, he thought, forcing his gaze away for a split second.

He took a slow, steady breath and reached down to fix the mess.

He carefully took hold of the fallen strap and pulled it back up over her shoulder, trying to cover her before she woke up.

As he pulled the fabric across her chest, the back of his fingers brushed against her bare skin.

Her skin felt surprisingly smooth, but a little cold to the touch.

The slight chill of her skin sent a sudden twitch through his fingers, and his knuckles accidentally grazed right over the hard, sensitive peak of her breast.

Cassie let out a tiny, shuddering sigh in her sleep.

Her skin goosebumped under his touch, and instead of pulling away, she snuggled even deeper into his side.

She pressed her chest firmly against his arm, trapping his hand against her body as she wrapped her legs tighter around him.

Derrick tried to pull his hand away, but before he could even move, Cassie shifted in her sleep.

She swung one bare leg right over his waist.

Her body moved even as she slept and now somehow she managed to pull herself up on his body.

Her full weight settled squarely on his body. ,

Her soft inner thighs squeezing tight around his hips and pinning him flat against the mattress.

The thin silk nightgown rode all the way up her thighs, folded around her waist.

The strap had slipped completely off her shoulder, leaving half her chest bare to the cold morning air.

Her skin felt chilly against his, but her soft body was full pressed against his chest.

Fuck, Derrick thought, his heart hammering hard against his ribs.

Every time she squirmed in her sleep, the heavy friction between them grew impossible to ignore.

Her warm breath fanned across his neck, sending a sharp spark straight down his spine.

His muscles coiled tight, fighting his own body’s reaction while she rested her forehead against his jaw, completely oblivious to what she was doing to him.

He gritted his teeth, holding his breath as her soft weight settled deeper over his hips.

Then, her eyelashes fluttered.

She let out a long, lazy sigh and slowly lifted her head.

Her eyes were dark and heavy with sleep as she blinked down at him.

There was no sudden panic.

No blush.

Not a single trace of embarrassment.

She just rubbed her eye with the back of her wrist, completely unbothered by the fact that she was straddling him half-naked.

"You’re back," she mumbled, her voice low and thick with sleep.

She sat up straight on his hips, stretching her arms high over her head.

The movement pulled the flimsy nightgown even lower, exposing the smooth curve of her stomach and letting the cool air hit her bare chest.

She dropped her arms and casually tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear.

"When did you get home last night?" she asked, looking down at him like this was just any other morning.

Derrick lay there beneath her, his pulse still racing, completely at a loss for words.

Derrick swallowed hard, forcing his eyes to stay fixed on her face instead of letting them wander back down her bare chest.

"Around midnight," he gritted out, his voice a notch lower than usual.

"And you’re sitting on me."

Cassie didn’t even budge. She just tilted her head, looking down at him with those heavy, sleepy eyes.

"I know," she said simply. "You have been gone long, I wanted to sleep with you."

The trace of sadness in her voice made him calm down.

"Cassie, your strap slipped," Derrick said, reaching up to pinch the loose silk and yank it back up over her shoulder. "Your chest is wide open."

She glanced down at herself, casually checking her nightgown as if she were looking at a smudge on her shirt.

Her hard nipples was still visible through the thin fabric, but she didn’t bother covering up.

"So?" she asked, looking back at him. "It’s just you."

Derrick let out a dry, exasperated breath.

He gripped her waist tightly with both hands, intending to push her off, but the feeling of her bare, smooth skin under his palms only made his jaw tighten.

She felt soft and warm, her legs squeezing tighter against his hips as he tried to shift her.

"Get off me," he muttered, though his pulse was still hammering against his ribs. "Put some real clothes on."

"Make me," she murmured.

A tiny, lazy smirk flickered across her lips as she leaned down closer, her warm breath hitting his neck.

Her chest pressed against his again, completely ignoring his attempt to push her away.

"You smell like lilies," she noted suddenly, sniffing near his collarbone. "Where were you last night?"
